Wow! This book has lots of twists and turns, and that keeps the reader turning those pages! Ms. Foster has written a story with a great storyline and endearing characters.
I recommend this story for those looking for a page-turner and clean romance.
I absolutely loved this book. A poor servant girl leaves her home in Boston after her madden, Jessica, died of influenza. She goes to met the man Jessica had written as a mail order bride, and ended up taking Jessica’s place. Gavin just wanted his inheritance and had to be married to get it. As you read this book, the things that happen would make most of us walk away and give up. Killing, fighting, anger and misunderstanding run through this story. I is so wonderfully written, I didn’t want it to end. I received this book as a gift in exchange for an honest review.
She works hard, learning how to help her new family, but will it be enough?
Coralee Burcket’s an orphan, taken in by someone to work as a maid. She loses her friend, Jessica, who dies but suggests that Coralee take her place as a mail order bride, to get away from Boston. She is hesitant, but things make a turn for the worse, and she decides to make the trip. She arrives in Texas, and when he calls her Jessica, she hesitates but is interrupted and doesn’t correct him. A couple of months go by, and no proposal comes out of Gavin’s mouth, but his folks are completely certain that she is good for him. This is a fascinating book, and one you will be glad you read it. I highly recommend this author’s book!
I really enjoyed this book! I loved the storyline and the characters were wonderful. I loved how Coralee got Gavin to finally open his heart up and realize what he was missing! His anger and hate was eating him alive. I loved the conflict and everything about this book. It was a pleasure to read it and escape the world and isolation for a while. I recommend this book!

Etta Fosters write such beautiful western romances!
.
Coralee is taking the advice of her dead friend and employer and heading west to become the mail order bride of Colorado rancher Gavin Woodworth rather than stay in Boston and be violated by her friend’s older brother. She will masquerade as her friend Jessica Caldwell, the actual bride. The two could pass as twins so hopefully, Gavin will not catch on to the deception until Coralee can find a good time to explain the switch-up.
Gavin is only getting married to meet the terms of his father’s will and claim his inheritance. This will be a marriage of convenience, not love. He wants nothing to do with love after the betrayal by his fiance and his older brother but the beautiful woman with the kind eyes who steps off the train may change his plans.
Etta Foster’s western romances always make my heart flutter. I even found myself hoping that Jude and Claudia could make it. Another great romance!
