Liked the story and the characters were well defined. Lavinia Dean was orphan at 13, then met her grandmother and went to live with her. Years later her grandmother want her to marry George Keeling the second son of a viscount. Neither Lavinia or George want this marriage and he abandon her on their wedding day. Years later he returns from war and they meet again. They get to know each other and get a second chance, not without complication.
