When a retired detective encounters a stranger standing outside a restaurant when both of them are on vacation and the stranger finds out what he did before he retired, the detective jokingly tells the stranger that he will come and solve a murder for him if he goes home and finds a body on his front porch.
Silly
Enjoyed the book…good story
This book is a great who done it with two retired detectives that you are sure to love. Who couldn’t love detectives that eat like there is no tomorrow and have to exercise to keep from bulking up.
Loved the fact the story was told without the use of foul language.
These books are awesome. If I see one, I’ll get it because they are always totally entertaining. Very few books make me laugh out loud, but this book definitely did.
Love this author!
Took too long to get into it. Too wordy. Deleted it from my tablet.
Started out slow, almost put it down; but after about 2 chapters the action picked up and the story dealt a lot of twists and turns.
I really enjoy all the books in this series.
Very odd almost as if written by rote.
Love anything by Steve Demaree!
I enjoy the characters
I laughed out loud. They made think of a lot of funny things from the
past. I liked the way they threw barbs back and forth. I also liked the fact that their faith was part of their daily routine. I liked that God gave them tips everyday and they had to figure what it meant.
I will read this author again! Good clean Christian writing that kept me laughing out loud! Best book I’ve read while on vacation.
I love this authors series on these characters. He’s a great story teller with lots of great humor.
It was a very good “clean” book as far as language goes.
Absolutely favorite series. Cy and Lou are two Christian retired detectives whose back and forth banter makes me laugh out loud! I am going back to the first book in this series and rereading them all.
Steve Demaree’s books we (wife and I) love and have read most all of them. Great humor, mystery and clean and inspirational too. This one did seem to stretch out a little longer trying to find the murderer, it would seem to me.
Too. Much extra nonsense
I enjoy these books, even though it’s hard to keep all the suspects straight, there are so many. I love the laugh-out-loud repartee between the two detectives, but sometimes they’re so over-the-top that it’s a little ridiculous. Appreciate that they’re ‘clean.’
