Demaree’s books are full of laughs while a mystery is being solved. Fun to read.
I like the way the author holds you right up to the end before you know who did it.
It was a comical, mystery that I enjoyed as a light read.
Enjoyed the whole book. Would not have guessed the ending.
Twists and turns in this murder mystery….couldn’t figure out w who the killer was!
I could not get very far into this. Just not characters that I cared about or a story I could hang with.

Great plot twists and humor…
The plot twists and the antics of Cy and Lou, retired detectives living in a small town in Kentucky made for a fun read. You cannot go wrong with murder, suspense, and good humor! The characters are likable and it’s entertaining. I finished the book in one day and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Interesting read. Funny at times but good plot. Love the title.
It really has a story that gets your heart

Always a mystery. What was unusual about this book was at the beginning they were in a neighborhood that was the location of a romance that I had read in the past. They never mentioned the characters names except for one but by their descriptions they were also the same characters. I had never ran into that before. I never known this author to write a romance.
I have never read this author before, so was not familiar with some of the habits of the main characters, so it took me a bit to catch up. The story kept me guessing.

While the story was good the book is too wordy. Pages of text were used to describe the most mundane thoughts of the lead character.
