I enjoy reading these books by Steve Demaree. They are cozy-mysteries of older people, to whom I can relate. A bit silly but I love.
The Decker cozy mystery series are wonderful. I love all the funny quirky remarks about food, eating, exercise. The best remarks were the ones about sitting at a diner stool with one in between for space and having pie rewards. Nice to have a different type of detective and way to solve the mystery.
Enjoyed this book. Easy reading and funny.

If I could give Mr. Demaree’s books a ten star rating, I would. Love his laugh out loud wit and the fact he can tell a whole story without swearing. Soooo refreshing. Just love all of his Cy and Lou books.
I enjoy reading about the two characters, Cy and Lou. You never know what the two will do or what will happen to them. There are some laughs along the way.
This book has just the right mix of interesting characters, a great plot, author and movie titles and information, and mentions of great food! The story was as captivating as Steve’s first book of this series and a thoroughly captivating read!

Enjoyable, but all of the talk about frequently eating large amounts of food drove me a little crazy.
Good story, goood presentation, makes the reader think both ahead and behind to figure out the mystery.
I love books from this author. He gives recommendations to other mystery novels in the dialogue of the story. Very enjoyable.
I love the two retired cops, but they are incorrigible. I thought they had turned over a new leaf and had decided to eat healthy. That doesn’t seem to be the case in this book though. Overall it was entertaining and I did buy the next book in the series, so it seems I’m going back for seconds too!
