Welcome to Sarah’s Eatery, where the food is to-die-for!Armed with zero cooking skills but infinite tenacity, Kylie Berry fights tirelessly to learn the ins and outs of operating a restaurant—but when her cook Brenda takes a leave of absence, she’s left to manage the café kitchen alone.“Winters will have you giggling into your book!”Kylie pulls 12-hour shifts at Sarah’s Eatery and struggles to … book!”
Kylie pulls 12-hour shifts at Sarah’s Eatery and struggles to find time to eat, sleep, and most importantly, keep at her culinary studies. Café regulars and potential suitors Joel and Brad lend a hand, but when Joel finds himself embroiled in a murder investigation, it’s his turn to ask amateur mystery hound Kylie for help.
All the police can find of tipster Morgan Bleur is his hand—clutching a torn piece of Joel’s shirt! As Joel, Kylie, and her fiercely protective best friend Zoey Jin investigate the life and death of Morgan, they find a trail of romanced retirees and a man who lived to collect secrets for his own benefit.
Who stood to benefit from Morgan’s death? One of the many lonely blue-haired ladies he wrung for their clandestine gossip—and possibly for their pensions as well? Or one of the many whose lives were ruined by the tips he sold to the press for big bucks?
While Kylie hunts to clear Joel’s good name and shine a light on the truth, she’s still got a kitchen to run! Will she make it through the ordeal alive, or will exhaustion—or something more sinister—shut her eyes for good?
Praise for A.R. Winters:

I really enjoy all of A.R. Winters series. All are worth the read.
This book by A.R. Winters is a fun, light and most enjoyable reading cozy murder mystery with our main trio of characters working hard to solve the crime before the cops can pin it on one of them. I really enjoyed the light banter between the characters as they make and carry out their detective portion of the story. There is also a tiny little romantic interest subplot which is dangled in front of the reader for pure speculation and entertainment. I must admit that this is one mystery I was not able to solve before the end of the book. I look forward to reading others in the Kylie Berry series. This is a rather late voluntary review of an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from Hidden Gems Books.
NICE ENTERTAINING, WELL WRITTEN, ENJOY TO READ. KYLIE AND KOE MANAGE TO GET INTO REALISTIC SITUATIONS
AND ARE ABLE TO BALANCE THE RUNNING OF A CAFE AND AN INVESTAGATION AT THE SAME TIME.. FELL SORRY FOR KYLIE ….. SHE HAS A CAFE AND CAN’T COOK. FUN BOOK TO READ. I’VE READ A LOT OF MYSTERIES AND USALLY HALF WAY THROUGH I CAN FIGURE OUT WHO DONE IT. NOT ALWAYS WITH THIS WRITER . KEEP THEM COMING !!!!!
This is the first book that I have read by this author, but when the opportunity came up, I decided to give it a chance. I mean the plot alone of having a non-cook run a restaurant really did peak my interest.
The book was your typical cozy mystery with a quirky main character, a love interest (or two), a cast of fun and supporting characters, and a mystery that keeps you guessing. But this combination works and cozy fans will truly enjoy!
Now I need to go back and read books 1 through 3 in the series.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book.
Kylie is once again investigating a murder. This time the Chief of Police thinks there might be a serial killer in Camden Falls, and it’s Kylie! After all she found the severed hand of Morgan Bleur. Morgan was in her cafe earlier that morning and left. Brad Calderos, a police detective with the Camden Falls police department tells Kylie to stay out of it. Then Joel Mullen, the owner and reporter of the Hearld tells her that he may be a suspect because Morgan tried to blackmail him and they got into a fight. Well, that changes everything! Kylie, Joel, and Zoey Jin, all team up and decide to look into this case themselves. They find out that Officer Matt Dill was a dirty cop and leaking information to the local drug dealer. But did he kill Morgan? He has a pretty good alibi. So who killed Morgan and why? He must of had dirty on some one and tried to blackmail them and they killed him, if not why was he killed? You will need to read the book to find out the answers. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book from Hidden Gems.
Kylie and Zoe are at it again only its not them that are suspected of murder but Joel and he asks them for their help to work out who really did it. AS they get underway of course Brad tells Zoe to back off and also uses the promised date as an excuse to see a it more of her. There were some really good twists to this one and did not expect the killer to be who it was and as bad as it is I liked seeing that Kylie was finding running the cafe on her own wasn’t working and she finally sees that getting help can really help in more ways than one as well as finding out her friends are really there for her.
