This book is a good book – sadly pilfered from other authors who have written similar works.
It is truly sad for our age that people continue to exploit readers who are just beginning their journey in historical romance.
I am sad that this website is endorsing and promoting fake authors.
I would urge readers to first check out the Facebook Page and if it says Greece, it is mostly a scam run by these authors.
So, the deal in Kindle Unlimited – its a subscription based service – authors are paid by the number of pages read – therefore , if you observe, all these authors like the below have novels which are 350 + pages in length :
Bridget Barton, Starfall Publications, Cobalt Fairy Publications, Abby Ayles, Abigail Agar, Adamina Young ,Alisa Adams,Ann Marie Scott, Aria Norton, Aurora Hanson
Barbara Bard, Carol Colyer, Cassidy Hanton, Clarice Mayfield, Chloe Carley, Emily Honeyfield, Emma Linfield, Eleanor Meyers, Etta Foster, Evelyn Boyett, Fanny Finch
Fay Walsh, Fiona Faris, Florence Linnington, Hanna Hamilton.Henrietta Harding, Kenna Kendrick, Lilah Rivers, Lorelei Brogan, Lucinda Nelson, Lucy Langton, Lydia Kendall, Maddie Mackenna, Olivia Bennet, Patricia Haverton, Scarlett Osborne
Violet Hamers
These scamsters are creating personas similar to actual authors and passing their plagiarised work via the Kindle Unlimited Subscription.
Please help actual authors who do this for a living and their livelihood!
A delightful and enjoyable read. I really didn’t compare this to a beauty and the beast type of story but I read it with the H/h in mind and their circumstances that put them in an awkward position. Although it did not have full blown compassion and love scenes that I typically would have liked, however the progression without it was written in a way that it did not need it. It was a personal story for her and that for him that ended with the two having their HEA.
This book deals with quite a few issues of life in a sensitive matter and the subtle guidelines for dealing with inter alia tragedies and abominable family members can still be applied to-day. The growing love between the two protagonists is well depicted. The short easy to read sentences make that any one with an understanding of written English should be able to read and enjoy the book.

Isadora’s father is a baron, he is in financial trouble. She doesn’t want to court “Earnest Chapman, the Earl of Dunmay” he is pompous and has shown her how cruel he can be, not with actions but in his demeanour.
Many times she has refused him. He goes to speak with the baron to ask permission to wed her but is refused. On passing he tells her he isn’t finished and will have her.

What will happen next? Won’t let you know here but tell you this, something unexpected happens.
My disclaimer…
I was given a copy of this book for my honest review.
Any book or novels I leave reviews on are not dependent on the book/novel review author’s opinion. No one influenced my voluntary review for any of the books or novels I read, they are my own opinions.
Loved how Elliot spends time each evening with Isabella as they slowly get to know one another. Persuading him that he can be and is loved was slow but beautiful as he eventually feels comfortable in public after the beginning humiliations.
A young man tragically scarred; with horrible things said about him stays hidden for years. Decides to marry so he won’t be lonely. She is young and terrified of him from all the stories; yet has never met him.
I thoroughly enjoyed this read. Although by the name you can guess the reference, yet I am always intrigued to discover anothers’ take on the story. The only critique I have, there is a build up of romance that doesn’t offer a completion. This could have become a very moving and touching love making moment and it was ignored…
boring
The unknown is scary for most of us and was no different for the main character. You come to know the Duke is quite the gentleman. He is judged by appearance as we often judge others. This story gave me insight into how I may view some others and I am encouraged to rethink my expectations and not judge others when I do not know their history. The story may have been set in the past but the message is still a current event today as we often jump to unfair judgement of others. When we fear the future our insecurities cause us to grab hold of the easiest conclusion which mostly is proven to be worst. It often takes a good friend to point out our mistakes and to give us another point of view. I enjoyed the story and the strong characters that could admit when they needed to change. Several parts of the story hit close to home as I reflected on how I have handled like situations.
Good story and no yukky sex to wade through.
A sweet Beauty and the Beast retelling!
Overall, I enjoyed this fairy-tale retelling. I sympathised with the Duke and cheered for him and Isabella. Isabella was a bit immature at times, but I think that she developed her character over the course of the novel. Also, I excused some of her behaviour because she was only 20 years old (compared to the Duke’s 38).
The writing did feel a little bit stilted at times, and the letter from Isabella to her friend followed a bit too much of the ‘tell’ and not ‘show’ pattern.
However, the premise of the book was interesting and since Beauty and the Beast is one of my favourite fairy-tales, I did enjoy the novel despite some of its faults!
I enjoyed reading this book and found it entertaining.
Emotional content is built well.Always enjoy overcoming one’s past and building courage and a useful life.
I loved the story
A lovely take on the “Beauty and the Beast” story.
An interesting look at families and love
This is a quick, beauty and the beast read. Nice story and well written
It got annoying how she kept being scared of his looks, get over it already.
Fun to read.
Not your typical historical romance. Great character development – I enjoyed it.
