Charlotte “Charlie” Mullins doesn’t mind putting herself in danger. She’s actually volunteered to hunt down Kade Lessing, a feral alpha bear who might be attacking and killing wolf shifters in Cascadia. Charlie’s not scared of the big bad bear, though maybe she should be…Kade Lessing isn’t really feral, though sometimes he wishes he were. God knows he’d be less tormented, and it would make … it would make things a little easier on him and his mate Daniel. When Kade hears a woman scream in the forest, he runs to the aid of a total stranger.
With one glance at the curvy, tomboyish girl left bleeding on the ground, he knows instantly that he’d do anything to save her – including fighting off the wolves who attacked her. When Kade carries her back to the cabin, Daniel feels exactly the same way.
They’ve saved her life, but can Charlie tell them the truth – that she was on a mission to take down Kade? Can their triad bond survive a battle between wolves, bears, and humans, or is their fated love doomed to fall apart?
A Bear’s Mercy is a steamy standalone novella about two rugged shifters in love and the woman they can’t help but claim as their own. Take off your sweaters, because things are about to heat up.

I have been loving this series so far however I didn’t enjoy this one as much. While it was still a great book, i just felt the chemistry was missing a little bit. I didn’t really feel it with charlie and the guys or even between the guys. There was a lot going on in this book so that might have been why but it was missing something.
The story was very suspenseful and engaging. Why was Charlie sent to kill Kade and why was the information to wrong. What is going on with the wolves? What happened to Kade’s sister? All of these were addressed in this book and I think they will be carried through out at least the next book.
I can’t wait to continue on in the series.
This book offered a good amount of suspense and heat. The connection between Kade, Charlie and Daniel was strong and steamy. An enjoyable read and addition to this series.
Charlie was sent to track down bear shifter, Kade, who accused of serious crime. Kade is aware of Charlie’s presence, and realizes too late that there are wolf shifters near. When Charlie is attacked by the the wolf shifters, Kade will fight them off and then carry her to his cabin where he and his mate Daniel will care for her.
Fascinating, sexy characters and an exciting plot with some suspense. Fantastic shifter romance with a happily ever after, I loved it!
I am voluntarily leaving an honest and non-incentivized review of this book.
Loving this Bear-Shifter Series!!
Charlie is part of a special task force of the FBI and the Department of Fish and Wildlife. Her mission is to tranquilize bear-shifter Kade and bring him in for killing two wolves. Kade knows she is there, and then almost too late the wolves that attack her! Daniel, bear-shifter and mate to Kade assists in her care during recovery.
No one knew Daniel existed, they believed Kade was feral.
As Charlie spends time with these bear-shifters in her recovery, gruff Kade continues to puzzle. When she realizes his sleeping by her on the floor is to protect her not keep her prisoner, she questions all the information she has been given.
Entertaining story of danger, misdirection and sizzling fated mate triads!!

A Bear’s Mercy is the third book in the Shifter Country Bears series, but can be read as a stand-alone. Charlie works for the government and is on a mission to bring back Kade, a shifter believed to be feral and a murderer. But just as she’s about to tranq him, she’s attached by wolves. Kade saves her, and along with his mate, Daniel, they nurse her back to life. As more pieces of the puzzle fall into place, Charlie goes into enemy territory to save Kade’s sister, but will she be able to return back to her men and complete their triad?
Wow, this book was full of secrets and sacrifices, as well as budding trust and romance. The pull to complete a triad is strong for both shifters and humans, and I have loved reading what the three will do for each other. Charlie was such a great character and I loved that she knew about and respected shifters, and had a similar job to Kade. Kade and Daniel were fun to read because they’re so used to being alone out in the woods, not really interacting with others, so some of their conversations were funny and so honest! I absolutely love how fate worked with this couple, bringing them together, forcing them to get to know each other, even while trying to hide their secrets – they still come out. The ending was really cool and I loved how everything played out and came together! I don’t want to give anything away, but I highly suggest reading this book and this series! It’s full of emotions, hunky shifters, and the strong woman to bring everything together!
I received a copy of this book from Book Funnel and I chose to review it. I love shifter books and this is a great one. It is well written. I read it in one sitting so for me it was a quick easy read. This one is worth your time and effort. I has a few surprises in it but since I don’t do spoilers you will have to get the book and find out what they are. Please remember this is a Ménage story with M/M scenes so if this bothers you this isn’t the book for you.
A Bear’s Mercy is a romantic, paranormal suspense. Like the previous 2 books in this series, there are 2 male bear shifters that are mates hoping to find a female to complete their triad. In this book, there are MFM and MMF sex scenes (I am not really into MMF or MM, but these scenes were quite steamy).
Charlie (Charlotte) is a member of a task force searching for a feral bear shifter and she is told that Kade is the culprit of 2 wolf murders. Just as she goes to shoot him, she is attacked by 2 wolf shifters. Even though she was out to capture him, Kade feels the need to protect at all costs. I really enjoyed all 3 characters. Charlie is strong, but as she gets to know the friendly Daniel and the hot and cold Kade, she realizes that perhaps her intel isn’t correct. The book is told from all 3 POVs which I really enjoyed and it has twists and turns that keep the book interesting. Feral shifters were mentioned a few times in “The Bear’s Protection” so it was good to learn a little more about them. Even though it is a novella, the characters are well developed and it moves at a good pace.
I received this book as an ARC and I voluntarily leave this review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
