One threat hangs over Paige’s head. Merry Eastwood is in Texas. After breaking the treaty between the shifters and the witches—in order to save the shifters, mind you—this could be the invitation Merry Eastwood needed to start a new war, putting the shifters and the Whiskeys in danger. But going home isn’t that easy. There’s a lot of trust that needs to be rebuilt, but with the stakes so high, … with the stakes so high, Paige has to try.
If that wasn’t enough, her grandmother is going senile. Also,, her fire-starter niece is hitting puberty, her bard nephew still hasn’t learned how to control his voice, and her demon-hunting boyfriend is still learning how to control his shift. There’s no safe haven for the Whiskeys.
So many enemies. So little time to regroup. How is Paige going to keep the Whiskeys safe?

I dislike tests. My guess is that Paige Whiskey really, really, REALLY hates tests! Particularly the one this book is about. I’ll stop here before I add spoilers.

Wonderful read!
Barrel of Whiskey by S. M. Blooding is an enchanting read that tells the story of a visit to Paige Whiskey’s witch family who lives in Texas. I really loved the story which is unusual with a great variety of paranormal creatures and situations which make it a great story! This book is full of magic, mystery, and plenty of excitement. This book is a can be read alone but it is tied to the Whiskey Witches Universe series. Any reader who enjoys a book with magic and mystery will love this book as much as I did. Barrel of Whiskey is a magical read!
Barrel of Whiskey is book three of the series and they just get better and better. The story is great, the characters are complex and interesting and the author does an fantastic job with the descriptions. Paige is back in Texas and as always crazy things start happening. I am looking forward to reading the rest of this captivating series.
The Whiskey clan is unique in so many ways, and so is Paige, the one who summons demons. This episode of the Whiskey saga gives her the chance at doing things over because she now knows how much she didn’t know before.. about being a parent, about the witching world of the west coast, and about the strength families can give, not just hurt and facades.
Facing down evil in the mundane world as well as in the paranormal world reveals that there are allies to be found among all the races, and enemies too– not only among the shifters and the witches but even among the angels. It looks as if Paige will get to be in her daughter Leah’s life just in time to save her from her hatred spewing grandmother. It’s the greatest stroke of good fortune and she couldn’t have done it alone.
The Whiskeys are kicking ass and making allies as they unify their clan’s talents.
I do enjoy this world and the characters, but I wish the main POV for the book wasn’t stuck in her head so much. The storyline is interesting and I liked seeing the earlier parts of this world. I will continue to read more in this world.

Once again I loved this book in the Whiskey Witches universe. Paige and Dexx travel back to Paige;s childhood home in Texas. They are following the Eastwood matriarch because they got word that she was headed to Texas. Murder, new babies, shifters,, kidnapping and dealing with having Leah around as well as the growing relationship between Dexx and Paige make for an exciting. fast paced story. Each book can be read as a stand alone but also each book builds on the previous stories. This is an incredible world and an awesome installment in that world. Each book is better than the last. I couldn’t put it down. The characters are realistic and the family dynamics could be any family, including mine (minus the magick). I can’t wait to continue reading this series.

I really MUST find time to read book 1! This is Book 3 in the series, takes place in Texas, has some adult content, and takes a LONG, full day to read.

Blooding gives us a fast paced action filled adventure that you don’t know what kind of curveball she will throw in there next. Paranormal communities keeps growing in each book to this series, and so does my love for the characters! In this adventure we are heading back to Texas with Paige and Dex. It hold so much uncertainty and contains so many surprises with each turn of the page, that it keeps you on the edge of your seat. I most certainly didn’t expect that ending whoa! Now to dive on in to the next book because I can not get enough of these Whiskey Witches!
mystery abounds as Dexx and Paige move back to texas to the Whiskey homested to find new jobs and more mystery, with a new pack of shifters and a bunch more witches and other suprnatuals in the dallas area.

Paige and Dexx are back home in Texas and surprisingly her family accepted the change in both of them. On the way home they met the High-alpha of Texas and agreed to make a new treaty with them. They also agreed to help one another if needed. Rachel drops off Leah at the house for nefarious reasons soon discovered. Rachel and Dexx also become parents to her murdered best friend’s son – who is also a supernatural. The angels are after him and they have to protect him. She was rehired at her old job but in a new position that fits her world. Dexx is also being hired to help out.
The Whiskeys take Rachel back to court over Leah and Leah has powerful powers as well. Now, shifters are taken and so is Paige’s family members and her grandma is fighting for her life after being stabbed. Many think it is the work of the Eastman’s…but it turns out it is not! We will meet the other witches that happen to be related to Paige in this book. So many new twists and turns in the book that keeps adding to the puzzle overall. Talk of going to Portland looks as if it will occur to help out many against the East woods. This is another action-packed book in the Whiskey Witches series! Each one keeps getting better and better with an individual storyline that adds to the bigger picture! I received this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Once again the Author does not dissapoint. I love the Whiskey Witches stories. They are a dysfunctional family of witches that fight and love fierce. The various types of magic and creatures in this book is great. It is a fast paced read that keeps you engaged from the start. I look forward to reading/listening to more in this series.
Whiskey Witches Origins:
S M Blooding, The Demon Whiskey – Has an overview, which I appreciate knowing what the book is about before reading it. Although I was disappointed with the last part of Whiskey Witches, I decided to read TDW. This book can be read after or before WW, without any spoilers. Well written, with realistic dialog and an interesting plot. By realistic, I don’t mean vulgar language, since nowadays that’s considered the real way to talk. This book is heavy with vulgar language, which I found distracting in both books, and caused me to start skimming after a few chapters. But at least the English out weights the profanity. The author and I butted heads, and while we agreed to disagree, we found we had similar backgrounds. I found Blooding a nice and funny lady through our emails. Minor editing needed. I contacted the author to review her books after reading Whiskey Witches. 4*
S M Blooding, Whiskey Witches #1 – Intense. This well written, interesting story hits the floor running and doesn’t stop until the last quarter of the story. The characters are believable and the twisting plot keeps the reader immersed in reading until the last 25%. The book then got boring and silly in places. Unfortunately, WW is heavy with vulgar language, which distracted me in places. I do credit the author with some restraint, since there could have been more profanity. Minor editing needed. This is my first book by this author and I will be reading The Demon Whiskey. 4*
S M Blooding, Blood Moon Magick #2 – The stories keep getting better. Another well written, intriguing, fast paced book. The suspense filled storylines keep the reader immersed in the pages, making it hard to put the book down. The characters grow more with each story and the new characters are just as interesting. Ms. Blooding does an excellent job with her vivid descriptions and action scenes; you’re actually there with the characters. Kinda hard when you’ve got a good imagination and everything is clear; makes ya lazy. More paranormals add to the mix, adding a good depth to the series. Needs editing. 4*
S M Blooding, Barrel of Whiskey #3 – I know why I love this series, the Whiskeys reside in Texas. Not really, it helps, but the author does a great job with her well written storylines and interesting characters. The plot rides like a rollercoaster out of control; the pace is fast and there’s nonstop action. The characters, good and bad, make this, amongst other things, a difficult book to put down. Vivid descriptions are the norm for this author. Needs editing. 4*
S M Blooding, Witches of the West #4 -I love that I got to chain read the last three books. I never got tired of the well written, intriguing storylines; the interesting characters; and the fast paced action. Ms. Blooding is an artist with her vivid descriptions and rollercoaster plots, which make her books difficult to put down. Read them in order for the best entertainment. Needs editing. 4*
Whiskey Witches Origins End.
** I received this audiobook free and decided to volunteerly review this wonderful book**
I absolutely loved listening to this book, it transports me away and I can actually visualize the whole story as though I am actually living the story myself as a character in the book and sometimes I will repeat the book cause I don’t want it to end yet. These books are absolutely amazing to listen to and even read.
