I just loved Alex and Julia’s story. Both their back stories enhanced my enjoyment of the book as well. The emotions jumped off the page. Before I even finished this book, I bought the rest of the series to read.
Paranormal books are not the genre I usually go for but I wanted to give this book a go because I have read two of Helen’s books and really enjoyed them.
I have to say I loved it, I found that I forgot at times that it was a paranormal novel, which helped me be pulled into Alex and Julia’s story.
I also though the Author set the background of …
This book is a great beginning of paranormal series,
…love the characters development and chemistry.
You get invested with the characters wanting more,
…can’t wait to read the rest of this series..
Alex is a vampire and has been in love with Julia ever since she was a young 14 year old girl but wanted her to experience life, go to University and hope that one day she would be his love forever. She does and for 14 years everything is good. But then something happens that she can’t stop and she needs Alex now more than ever.
I’m not a huge vampire romance reader and while I really tried to love this one it wasn’t totally my cup of tea. That’s all me though, and shouldn’t reflect in the book it’s self. I’ll list the things I did like. I liked the POV. It helped me keep reading. Even though Alex was a vampire I liked him and his feelings for Julia. It was a sexy read …
I keep telling myself I am not going to start another series but go and do it again. This one was so tempting I could not resist. This one went down a path that was least expected so it picked my curiosity. Alex wants Julia but it seems it will not be until something happens. When things really start to change this author grabs your attention. …
This is a very interesting start to a new series. It has real life situations. We know vampires are not real but dang! Bright does a great job making you feel like they are. If your into vampires, you really don’t want to miss this book.
Yes yes yes! This book gets you in every feel you can think of. It makes you laugh, cry, and will keep you up to 3am to keep reading!
The characters are so well defined that you can easily insert yourself into the story and feel powerful right there with them!
Absolutely loved this book!
A great steamy paranormal read. I love vampire stories and this one didn’t disappoint. I was drawn in and hooked from the beginning. I really loved the main characters Alex and Julia, the secondary characters were very interesting as well and added depth to the story. There are a lot of different perspectives in this book, and I quite liked it. …
As Alex and Julia’s relationship builds, Alex and Freya’s history unfolds. Their family dynamic was captivating with its drama and turn of events. Among the men running the business and the women in their lives there was lots of steam and bonding. Although a relatively minor character, Mel left a lasting impression.
This truly is a thoroughly entertaining read. A few too many narrators/change of perspective for my taste but it also ends up adding even more steam to a hot read. If you’re looking for a fun sexy vampire read where only jewelry sparkles this is a really good one!
