This is the first book by Frank Lucianus’ Mafia Series which is an enemies to lovers romance featuring Francisco, a hitman and son of the Giuliani family mob boss but falls in love with Jessica, and Jessica, attorney and daughter of the don of the Lombardi family. Francisco and Jessica instantly fall in love when they meet, but will their love lead to a bloody mafia between these two Italian mafia families, or will it end the rivalry between them. I highly recommend this edge of your seat novel with its great primary and secondary characters and a plot and an intense plot with suspense, intrigue, unexpected twists, and steamy attraction. This book’s ending leads the reader into the plot of the second book in the series entitled Sins of the Daughter.

A Mafia Novel Well Done! Terrific Audible Listen
Sins of the Son
The Frank Lucianus Mafia Series, Book 1
By: Frank Lucianus
Narrated by: Freddy Moyano
Frank Lucianus has an interesting take on organized crime and the Mafia crime famiies in NYC in his novel. It is a well written, well told story with interesting storylines that are reminiscent of the old school Mafia back in their heyday when several powerful crime families fighting for power aiming to be the rulers of their kingdom, to be in control of the ports, the streets as well as businesses. When corrupt officials were on the take and helped them by turning their heads. The characters were nicely developed. Francesco, the brazen son of the Giuliani family, is arrogant & narcissistic with his over the top criminal activity and itchy trigger finger. Jessica Lombardi is back with her family after living abroad and getting her law degree, she wants in on the family business but her brother and father are not giving her enough to do. She meets Francesco and finds there is chemistry between them and a relationship develops. With the FBI investigating the shootings, Agent Thomas Miller the lead agent has a hard time making any leeway in the case. This book is filled with action, drama, twists, some suspense and romance. I loved the ending and am looking forward to the next book in the series. I recommend this to anyone interested Mafia stories or looking to try something new and/or different.
I listened to the Audible edition, Freddy Moyano does a nice job narrating the story. He performs the voices for all the characters, he brings them to life giving them personality and attitude. He does a great job with the accents too. Thanks for this great and entertaining listen
The story line was great, the character work was fantastic, and the book had a fairly smooth flow to it. While there were some grammatical errors, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I was hooked from beginning to end. I look forward to more from this author.
This is my first time reading anything by this author and I’m very pleased that I decided to read this book. I love everything about it, the plot and the characters are wonderfully written. Looking forward to more from this author in the future.

This Romeo and Juliet with a Mafia twist. The book starts with a lot of description, but as the story continued, that description was needed to build a foundation. Once the story picks up, it takes off. Suspense, murder, romance, it has it all. Francesco and Jessica should never be together because their families are opposing mafias. But opposites attract and their story is sweet and filled with stolen moments. The ending is amazing. I never expected it, but it was worth the wait.
Freddy Moyano has a very heavy Italian accent. It gives the narration a realistic feel. I was very happy that the first few chapters were slow and filled with description because it gave me ample time to become accustomed to his accent. Once I was used to it, the rest of the story flowed well.
Sins Of The Son by Frank Lucianus is a mafia romance. I listened to this book on audio Narrated by Freddy Moyano.
Listening to book on audio and not having a printed copy in front of me I am not sure if in some sections the author wrote the same lines twice or if the narrator made a mistake and repeated a line. I noticed it a couple times throughout the recording.
The story drew me in and I had to know how it was going to end. I do have to say there was a lot of characters and moving parts so you really need to pay attention while listening to it. I look forward to reading future projects done by Frank Lucianus.
Freddy Moyano has a strong accent and was difficult for me to understand at times but it worked with the Mafia aspect of the story. It took a while for me to really get into his narration style. But I did enjoy the different voices he used for each character and the sound effect he used when someone was thinking something.
I would Recommend this book to anyone who likes mafia stories.
Great mafia story of romance and deception based in New York City in the 1990s.
