RoderickHe joined the MC for many reasons. To be able to financially take care of his mother and sisters, to have fun, to let loose, to meet women. But only casually. Only for a night or two. He wasn’t ready to settle down.Until one day, when the president gives him a job. Just drop the guns, get the money, come home. Don’t f— it up. Except everything goes to hell. And he has just six weeks to … he has just six weeks to find the woman who stole the guns, work with her to track down replacements, and try not to get too distracted.
The problem being, Livianna – the gun-running leader of a rag-tag group of arms dealers turns out to be one hell of a distraction…

Yes!! Roderick! I loved this book! Roderick was one of the more tame of the men in the club. Not because he didn’t have a horrific upbringing, a scary past that didn’t harden him but he had an amazing mother and 4 sisters to not only protect but to soften him. Roderick is a really great guy! Who finally met his match when he gets robbed on a run by Livianna and her little banned of misfits. Livianna and her crew are also gun runners so she is competition. I thought Jessica Gadziala wrote this book extremely well. I shed some serious tears. And I really once again would love stories about Cam, Astrid and Rodericks sisters who have apparently never been around the club! I could see one of the sisters getting involved with one of the Henchmen! My heart goes out to Grace, Roderick’s mother. That poor women had it the worst and I’m so glad she finally got the life she deserves thanks to Roderick.
Seriously, I don’t know how after 50 books (I believe this is book 51) in 3 years, Jessica Gadziala can still continue to write such spectacular books! Roderick is book #15 in the Henchmen MC series and we still continue to want more!
This one was a bit less drama filled but still packed an emotional punch. Both Roderick and Liv have had dark and difficult childhoods which made them the way they are now; with a strong protective instinct, determined in anything they set their minds to, and completely bad a$$!
Liv’s childhood was rough, she left her home as teenager and happen to learn the trade of running guns. During a gig gone bad, she met Camden and then when Astrid came along they created their own family and their own small gun running business. As for Roderick, he has been taking care of his mother and five sisters since he was just a teenager, so to continue to give his mother an easier life he joins the Henchmen MC. Along with being able to provide for his family, the Henchmen gives him a sense of freedom to let go a little and have some fun. But this is the Henchmen MC so they also run guns and this is where he meets Liv and her makeshift family. The way they meet is actually quite amusing, but running guns and the Henchmen’s reputation is on the line so Roderick tracks them down to resolve his mistake. What ensues is time for the two to get to know each other and find how perfect they are for one another. I loved the evolution of their relationship so much. I think what I loved the most was how Liv, who was always the “mom” in their makeshift family finally had someone else take care of her.
I can not end my review without mentioning Cam and Astrid again, Jessica Gadziala introduces such awesome secondary characters in her books that we all want their story. Cam, the strong and silent type, we find out a smidgen of the secrets he has been keeping and Astrid, seen as the wild child but with vengeance in her eyes. These two helped create a family and now with Liv finding her happily ever after, I want Cam and Astrid get theirs too.
Another great installment of the Henchmen MC series! Can not wait to see who is next!
Roderick ended up being a book that made me smile, but it took me a while to get into. I didn’t connect with Livvy right away until I started to see her through Roderick’s eye. It’s not a bad story, and it has some very interesting side characters. Cam and Astrid are fascinating. My biggest issue with this book, and it’s becoming a theme with the series, is that there is little to none MC in it other than the fact that the main character is a Henchmen.
4 Gun Toting Stars on Goodreads
Roderick is the latest instalment in the Henchmen series by Jessica Gadziala. It started a little slower than previous books. For some reason I didn’t really connect with Livvy straight of the bat. In fact I wasn’t sure if I even liked her that much. There wasn’t too much involvement with the actually Henchmen themselves and I missed this banter that would normally go on and I also missed the other characters popping in and out.
I did love Cam and Astrid, I look forward to seeing if there will be a book for Cam.
Overall it was enjoyable and I would defiantly recommend reading it.
Mr sexy MC arms dealer meets his match with a female arms dealer.
Roderick as a young man got his 5 sisters and mother away from a violent life in Puerto Rico. After watching his mother work herself to the bone to support them once he was old enough he took over supporting them by eventually joining a MC and running guns..
Livianna had a rough childhood and her best memories are when she was taken in by a older criminal. After he is gunned down she eventually meets up with a war veteran who doesn’t speak and a young woman with a past as bad as hers. The three of them form a bond and become their own gang of gun runners..
Roderick and the gang collide when they decide to divest him of his delivery.. This was a humorous outing in The Henchmen series and another entertaining read.
Roderick’s book is finally here. We have waited for this sweet talking man to meet his match and what a meeting it was.
Livvy, she comes swooping into the Henchmen world with a one goal in mind. That doesn’t always work out for people and it did not work for her.
Thrown together Roderick and Livvy have an adventure. These two together so !!!!
Also meeting some new characters that I can’t wait to see what happens with them.
Roderick and Livianna are stunning!
Probably my favourite Henchmen novel yet, Jessica Gadziala gave me ALL the feels with Roderick!
I love how close Roderick and Liv are, how much communication there was between them. I love the new characters JG gives us with every new book, the development of Cam and Astrid, and especially Grace.
“There were fates worse than death. Women lived with their potential reality every time they stepped outside their homes. Hell, or even stayed inside them.”
With every book I am reminded that Ms Gadziala is a woman of the true sisterhood, and that she uses that knowledge to give us beautiful stories about strong, and kind men; and women that have been beaten down, but never broken.
As much as it makes me sad that there are only two unattached Henchmen left, I am eagerly awaiting Jessica’s next story, no matter who it’s about! Worth way more than 5 ‘s!
Roderick and Livianna “Livvy” were everything I wanted and not anything that I expected… When Roderick “meets” Liv or rather watches her run away it ends in a pretty bad day for him. Their initial meeting is hands down my favorite “henchmen style meet cute ” ever Roderick and Livvy both have pasts that they prefer not to talk about; they both like to keep any type of relationship “light”. All of that changes with a super charged connection that neither one was prepared for
This was a more low key Henchman read compared to some of the previous books but it was still packed full of everything I love about this series…badass strong females, adventure, amazing secondary characters (Cam & Astrid), catch ups with the girls club and all the other members & all the swoon worthy moments. I loved this book so hard & I cannot wait for the next one
