The newest Rogue Rescue romance shocks readers with gripping emotions and thrilling suspense. Ian and Trick are two strong, captivating males that easily draw readers into their story. The relationship starts off with a hurdle to be overcome but then both move on the sizzling heat that burns between them while trying to adjust to the changes in their lives and on the team. The romance is sweet but with lots of emotional turmoil that adds depth and makes it easy for the readers to understand where these characters are coming from. Ian’s past plays a major part of the emotional turmoil and Trick is fundamental in adding a positive influence in Ian’s emotional issues, which surprises readers as well as the characters. There is a bit of a lopsided view of this couple as readers are given more detail about Ian and less about Trick, which readers may feel would make the romance a bit better, but doesn’t stop them from enjoying it.
The story is fast paced and flows smoothly from the pages with their searing romance but with added excitement of death defying rescue missions and an unexpected twists that answers some questions regarding Ian but adds more in relation to the team. The unique shifters and their roles in this fascinating world makes for a really great change in shifter romances and the author brings it all to vivid life with great detailing that makes it easy for the readers to imagine each and every scene. This romance can be read as a standalone story, but readers may find that reading the previous books gives them a better understanding of this fascinating world as the conclusion definitely readers know that there is more going on.
I enjoyed reading this book. I found the story captivating and a page turner. It’s romantic, sexy with lots of action and a couple surprises along the way.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is Shark shifter Ian Mackey and Shark shifter Trick Harper’s M/M story it is a well-written story that held my interest throughout.
Mia West has done it again, I like shifter stories, wolfs, bears, big cats. Not so much little animals, dragons and nevery water animals, but Mia has found a way to make them believable and interesting.
We’ve all heard stories of dolphins helping man, so this series
makes sense. I love the undercover of Coast Guard, they never get the recognition they deserve, so this make perfect sense.
I have now read the three books in this series and hope the will be more.
You must read Mackay’s story, you will enjoy it.

Some of the things people will do to get attention. Trick is a goner and does not even know it. But then again so is Mackey. Some surprises thrown in. I really like this story. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
Yowza! This book was hot and deep. Lol pun intended. Who knew the shark shifters would have hidden depths?
Mackey and Trick are so beautiful to watch. And funny, too. I love how the author describes their moves in a shark like way. Mackey does not just park his car. No, he “prowled the lot, up one row and down the next, before rolling into a spot.” The only thing missing is the Jaws background music.
These two have to be my favorite couple. They are attracted to each other immediately, but clash due to issues with authority. As in, one follows rules and the other does not. Trick is feisty and irrepressible and not afraid to take Mackey and his intimidating self on. No worries about bad editing or writing here! I had to fan myself a couple of times because the action and the sex was totally hot.

Is there a secret menu 6-star rating on here? I don’t care for one of the kinks. Hell, I don’t even like this genre. But here I am in the third book of a series having ~feelings~ and honestly, I’m furious about it.
Maybe my favorite thing was treating deafness as essentially a cultural difference. It wasn’t really the source of any conflict and instead only worked to reinforce the characters’ growing intimacy. Miscommunication is one of the easiest (cheapest?) ways to create conflict, especially in a romance, but that gets subverted in fine form here. Anytime the opportunity for miscommunication arose, it was either deflected or resolved within a scene or two, and I LOVE that. That’s a strong feature of most Mia West books I’ve read, it’s just especially noteworthy here given how easy it would be with a Deaf protag.
Whoo-boy! Shark shifters. I love Mia West’s characters and these two MCs rocked it.
He is a shark who has to protect others while they are doing their missions. He loves alone, he eats alone which he is very happy with. Then another comes along and things are about to get interesting. What is going to happen? Follow them and see
