PeytonI was having a cold coffee with my best friend Vivian when the whole world went upside down. Now there are gazelle-glowing-like-a-light-bulb aliens running around eating everybody, and enormous dark purply colored aliens that have a strong resemblance to bats, dive bombing from the sky. One of the bats says I’m his and i need to ease his mating rage. Yeah, not happening.Except, they tell me … happening.
Except, they tell me the fate of my world comes down to me sacrificing myself to him. Maybe this won’t go like I planned. But I figure, if I have to bend to the big guy’s will, I’m damn well getting something out of it.
Tahk
My Pythe is a human.
Weak as they are, I cannot fathom how she was chosen for me. The Commander of all Dahk.
But then she rises up for her species and I cannot help but notice her fierce heart.
I will slaughter all who dare harm her and her species, and she will be mine.

Buy IT! Read IT! Close IT! Ponder IT! It’s one of those books that stays with you in the back of your mind, and you can’t quite let it go like all the other fluff you might read. It’s a RE-reader.
Definitely a one-clicker!!
Make sure you have Home World ready to go, this book is a cliff hanger but you can get straight into book 2 to resolve it.
Such a good series.
Wonderful science fiction read, I’m totally hooked on this series. Riveting plot, excellent characters, action, sex, and lots of aliens. Highly recommended for sci fi lovers!
Wow. First the Defy series and now Pythen. I don’t know how Erin Raegan does it, what kind of magical tricks she has up her sleeve. But for all intents and purposes I am completely sold on her fantastic, genius and scary mind at work, creating these beautiful and heart gripping stories. While I like The Defy series more so far, I can confidently say that I am absolutely in love with Pythen.
The book had a bit of a slow start, taking its time to introduce characters and setting. Not to worry though because it pretty quickly went from 0 to 100 when the world as the characters knew it imploded out nowhere. The earthquakes, the chaos and panic, the running, the tragedy and best of all; the Aliens. Both the good and the bad. It all built into such a beautiful, dramatic, almost traumatic experience. And just as the aliens was out of this world so was the story. It dripped originality and passion and it all worked so amazingly well together that, despite its genre and fantasy-ish implements, it felt so real.
I especially enjoyed the romance of the story. Them not only being from completely different worlds, but different species and having to learn each other’s ways and get past both physical and mental differences. Their relationship, struggles and cultural clashes developed the romance almost perfectly and I really liked that they had such a strained start with both being … not exactly appalled by the other, but weary at the least. And then the mating rage and how they had to get past it and build a relationship from that, it made the romance all the more stronger for it
While the action and story was in full swing throughout the book, the romance kind of mellowed out after they hit common ground and fully accepted each other. Don’t get me wrong, I still very much loved them together, but it felt like after they dealt with the mating rage they got over their previous issues too easily. I would have liked to see a more clearcut conclusion and reason behind their acceptance and seen some more struggles between them throughout the book. I can’t complain too much however, partly because their romance and sweet moments were so addictive. And partly because of the dramatic ending of the book. With that kind of cliffhanger I just have to keep reading!
This book was so entertaining, I giggled to myself so much. I loved the whole intro. The communication issues were hilarious. I love the misunderstandings. My biggest pleasure was Colt. He was the surliest, cutest, old man. He said everything I wanted to. I applaud this author for finally writing a male human in an alien romance. It’s a nice change that not all the women were mated off. I’ve seen this book around but the cover threw me off. I want to see what comes of the Dahks having more than one mate. How that’s going to go over. There were so many great secondary characters. Colt, Hector, Viv, Uthyf, Fihk, and Brian. What happened to Grihk? There were some thing not discussed like how old the Dahks were. More about their culture. The world building was enthralling. I read some mating habits that had my mouth dropping wide open. I’m on to book 2 so hopefully it will be explained. I highly recommend this book. I have a feeling I’m going to binge read this whole series
This series is out of this world literally… I have beige read the whole series in a week… loved it
I really love Pythen. It draws you in. Wonderful story line, wonderful characters. Truly magnificent.
Planet Earth has been invaded by little light bulb looking creatures and Peyton along with her BFF Vivian need to get to Peyton’s home to meet up with Hector. (relax you get to meet everyone in the story along with even more engaging and entertaining characters)
Commander Tahk – another alien species – has been sent to protect earth when he gets there he finds his Pythe and she is human? Not wanting a mate of any species Tahk attempts to deny the truth. While still commanding the mission – Obviously this is not going to work.
I can’t describe all the entertaining events that occur in this story – It is filled with laughter, angst, action, suspense, betrayal – It has everything I want in an amazing story and so much I didn’t know I needed
Peyton is a blast – at times she is a bit selfish but I get it the planet is being decimated and a giant purple bat wants to keep her – I gave some leeway for those reasons
Tahk – when he was first described I cringed – I kept thinking there must be another who is more “acceptable” – nope it is the giant purple bat alien for the lover – another chapter or two and I was in love with Tahk
It is rare for me that an author can take such a ‘unique ‘ cast of characters and circumstances and weave her magic words in a way that made it all so believable – so easy to be a part of
If you enjoy sci-fi don’t pass this series up – it has everything a good series requires – fantasy – fun- suspense- romance – will definitely keep you entertained and have you wanting more
I don’t normally read a “sequel” because I get impatient waiting for the next book, but I was strongly recommended this book so I took a chance. I am so very glad I did!! This was a great read. I couldn’t put it down. Stayed up way to late and read it in a day. A must read!
I bloody adored Pythen: An Alien War Romance (Galactic Order #1).
I ticked every one of my boxes and more.
I happen to have a very weird affliction for aliens that actually look and act like aliens and the Dahk: Extra-terrestrials that are almost bat-like in their overall appearance certainly are very different to humans.
But what aided my enjoyment here was the pure humorous dialogue and situations that we were faced with.
This truly was hilarious in places: making me giggle immensely.
On top of that, the running storyline also managed to grab and retain my attention this was in my opinion really well done and I devoured every word.
This really is a love across the species romance and combined with An alien invasion from a different hostile alien race this was amped up almost from the beginning.
I adored both Peyton and Tahk though did find her a tad unreasonable near the end when Tahk was really just doing his duty and following orders.
Tahk I absolutely loved he had such strong and honourable ideals without losing one iota of his masculinity and he was also so bloody sexy.
So yeh safe to say this is one of the better alien romances and I am so looking forward to the next in this series which is a continuation of this.
If you like proper aliens and not ones that just look human then this is one for you fabulous.
All opinions expressed here are entirely my own.

I love finding new authors!
I know Alien invasions aren’t supposed to be funny but there were parts of her first book Pythen that had me laughing so hard I couldn’t read on because of the tears. Yeah, there is a sexy Dahk male who goes all ragey when he finds his mate, who happens to be a human but the story also hits on some of the funnier human ideas like anal probing (which if you have ever had a colonoscopy is pretty much the same thing). I can’t wait to see how Home World handles BoBo and with any luck the other animals like Noodle.
So, if you are looking for a new Alien read with some sexy Dahks and some hilarious moments check her out!
I liked Peyton. She seemed to have a normal reaction to all the events happening although just saying I might have been rocking in a corner somewhere. Tahk is protective, somewhat jealous , and a fierce mate. I thought it was well written, definitely kept my attention, and I almost cried when I realized it had a cliffhanger. It does have some dreadful events happen in this storyline but there is also humor and some definite steam in this book. I am looking forward to reading the conclusion!
For adult readers.
I liked this. Some of the alien conversions were lol funny, especially before the humans received translators and before Tahk gets his. I think Peyton is selfish and ungrateful, I REALLY dislike her character A LOT! The Vitat look like a condom with teeth and have a gamey taste, quite a visual for this alien baddie. So it’s worth the read for the laughs alone. Be ready for the “leaves you hanging” ending though.
