This unique read was very entertaining. A fun storyline captures and holds your interest. I really liked Atalanta and Hip’s romance and would love to see more books that are an intriguing blend of fantasy, myth, fairytale and royal romance.
Atalanta didn’t want to marry anyone and she thought she thought she had the perfect plan to avoid it. Then she met Hip and she knew he was different from other men she had known but still she didn’t want to be tied down. Hip wanted to get to know the intriguing woman he met but she disappeared in the wind after they were together. When he finally tracked her down he learned that she was a princess and that in order to see her he would have to race her for her hand in marriage. Atalanta was stunned when she saw who her competitor was but she didn’t count on him being so determined in winning the race. If Hip wins will Atalanta marry him?
This is an amazing story that will draw you in from the first word. The chemistry between Atalanta and Hip is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this to any book lover.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
I really enjoyed this book! The book blurb accurately describes this romance which is an interesting and original reimagining of the story of mythological characters, Atalanta and Hippomenes. It’s a sexy, fun, well-written, sweet love story.

I enjoyed reading about Hip and Atalanta. It was a very entertaining, short, novella. Her parents, the King and Queen, expect her to choose a husband soon. She decides to marry the man whom can beat her in a foot race knowing that it is pretty much impossible. Hip gets some magical help to hopefully win the race.
I was gifted an ARC in return of an honest review.
This story is really interesting and caught my attention from the beginning.
Atalanta is a confident and sexy woman who likes her freedom, but her parents want to force her to get married, since she is a princess.
She agrees to marry with only one condition, if she runs and wins, there is no marriage.
When Hippomenese sees this woman running past him, he is immediately interested. And when he meets her, he wants to marry her.
Will he succeed? Or will Atalanta escape the marriage?
I loved this story.
3 1/2 Stars! This is a fairy tale like story. I am not familiar with this myth/fairy tale and did not know a lot of the characters named. It is a fast paced quick read with HEA. If you enjoy the classic stories you will enjoy this novella!
GENTLEMEN, WE HAVE A WINNER!!!
Talk about getting one enjoyable, exciting, humorous, fast paced, action packed, page turning tale that hooks you from the start and reels you in for the duration. A refreshing storyline with lots twists and turns, unexpected events that will totally surprise you. I love Normandie’s style and insight the way she brings her characters to life with such realism it really draws you in. The scenes are so graphically described it’s easy to picture each scenario as it plays out perfectly. Normandie creates a world around us until everything else ceases to exist. Fantastic job Normandie, thanks for sharing this awesome read with us.
Odd but interesting. This book held my attention to the point that I did not want to put it down. I wasn’t completely hooked but was drawn in. Atalanta goes through men, alot of men, too bad when they are caught in her room they are thrown in jail because she refuses to marry them. OUCH. What will it take for her to settle down and marry? Her parents, the king and queen forcing the issue. Hippomenese, Hip for short, sees this woman run past him and is interested from the beginning. A very heated evening together, then Atalanta vanishes. I enjoyed the journey to their HEA.
