This journey is so exciting. I absolutely love this series and each book is better than the previous. I can’t wait to read the next one!
Raven is on a mission to save her mother. All she knows is that her mother was taken by the demons. Soon she joins shifters and a vampire to hunt down demons and go to Avalon. That’s where the Earth Angel is right now and that is where anyone should go if they want to fight against demons. But this journey to Avalon isn’t simple nor is it easy. Along the way, they face many trials. Lose companions and make new friends. Now it seems that this exciting adventure is almost over or maybe a new adventure is just beginning…
Although I missed Sage I was glad to read more about Raven. She is my most favorite character of this series. I love everything about her. She is human in the world of supernaturals still that has not caused her to lose her courage or determination. In fact, she seems to be right at home among vampires and shifters. Noah and Thomas are no less likable. In fact, all the characters are amazing and well-developed and each book in the series brings us closer to them. Every time we learn something new about them, what motivates them, what are they afraid of, how they deal with difficult situations, so on and so forth.
It’s a very exciting series and I can’t wait to see where it will lead us next. I think it’s a must-read for paranormal/adventure fans.
I love the world created by Michelle Madow for her Dark World: The Angel Trials series (and for the other related Dark World series by this author – though I can verify that you don’t need you have read any other series as I’ve only read a few of those books so far). It’s a nicely put together universe filled with demons and angels, and vampires, witches and (of course) shifters. I love Raven (and Noah, the wolf shifter she imprinted upon). She’s just the kind of string kick-a** heroine I adore and it’s been a gas following along in this series (which really is very much best enjoyed if read from its first book, even though this one can be read standalone). And now she’s finally getting close to the key stepping stone needed to achieve her goals, admission to the eponymous Angel Island. She’ll do what she needs, and it’s a fun filled exciting ride to follow along in this series Book 5 with its perfectly crafted supporting cast and superbly written plot. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.
Good story. The continuing saga of Raven and Noah plus a few others. Wonderful characters. Well drawn out situations and scenes. Making progress: two steps forward, one step back. I look forward to the next installment.
I received a copy of this book as a gift. I am leaving my honest review.
*** Spoiler Alert ***
The need to free the the hairy giant at the edge of the forest seemed overly obvious.
It would have been nice if the examiner had given more information about the four domiciles to choose from as he had so many of the other situations involved in accessing Avalon.
The end of this book is not particularly satisfying. I feel that the last chapter might have been better kept for the next book.
Wowza!! So many questions were finally answered in this book. We finally know the whereabouts of someone…can’t say Bc it’s a possible spoiler but man this book was by far my favorite. I have binged on this series. SO good!!
Raven’s story is moving forward, again I love how the story keeps coming up with new trials and adventures that are unexpected but great! Another page-turner loved it!
