He’s searched for her across centuries. But he’s not the only one . . . Paris, heir to a vampire kingdom he has never claimed, is adrift on earth and in the Underworld. The bounty on his head keeps him on the run. When he realizes the woman whose death haunts his dreams could be alive, he will risk everything just to touch Helen again. But her past can’t be erased, and neither can her old … enemy–a demon who will destroy worlds just to possess her.
Author’s Note: This is a standalone fantasy romance with vampires, witches, and mythological creatures.

Blood Prince turned out to be a high-octane twist on the tale of Paris and Helen of Troy! I absolutely loved how the author took bits of relevant facts from the real lives of the characters’ inspirations and created a new tale to share about the destiny of these legendary people. I’ve always been fascinated by history so I was happy to see some details that stayed true between the worlds of fiction and reality, but what made me even more ecstatic was how otherworldly this story became.
Time for me to convince you to get this book without revealing anything from the plot…
Helen had the face that launched a thousand ships and her romance with Paris is what is known to have sparked the Trojan War. So I knew to expect some type of epic battle in this book. What I got was so much more than I could have hoped for. There’s magic and demons and vampires and history and friendships and evil and goodness and so much more! There are gods and witches and wickedness and romance and hot sex and eternal love and I had the time of my life reading this book.
When looking for a story that will truly let you escape the drudgery of the every day, you can never go wrong with something from Celia Aaron. She’s been a one-click author for me for quite some time. Blood Prince shares some characters from one of her previous books, Incubus, and it isn’t one to be missed!
Is there anything that Celia Aaron can’t write? She’s given us fun and filthy stories, dark and dangerous heros, and now a fantastical spin on Helen of Troy. Ms Aaron’s imagination and fearlessness in storytelling is unmatched.
I’ve enjoyed her previous books that had a paranormal theme, and I loved this one too. Her idea of Helen as a fierce magical being and Paris as the heir to a vampire kingdom is well executed and entertaining. It’s a fairly fast paced story, complete with steamy passion, a bit of bloodshed, and a wealth of fearsome Underworld creatures. 4.5 stars!
Blood Prince is a incredible blend of modern and old with this tale of Helen of Troy and Paris. From page one I was swept away into another world where gods and goddesses exist as well as vampires, demons, and more fantasy creatures. I couldn’t put this down, Helen and Paris’ story had me enraptured! Helen and Paris were separated by death and destruction. But were they really? Elena is on the run from a demon who calls her wife, Paris seems to be her only ally. As they fight new and old enemies they have to fight their attraction and the past they shared.
Elena is a warrior through and through. She’s so bad@$$! Not only is she magical, she has the mind for strategy and war. When I say she can kick @$$, she can literally kick @$$! Paris, from the start, had me rooting for him. It’s been centuries yet his love for Helen has never died. He may be a rake, he may have done some questionable stuff in the past while missing Helen, but he is an honest man with a huge heart. These two will give you butterflies in your stomach.
Not only is the romance alive and well, the bloodshed and action is just freaking awesome! No one is scared of war, or a fight, especially when it comes to something they believe in! Celia Aaron took me to a place far away and now I’m wishing to go back in this amazing world!
I enjoyed Celia Aaron’s take on the tale of these classic lovers. It was different, but good different. She put her own spin on it and turned Paris into an immortal Vampire, Menelaus into a demon king, and Helen into a warrior for the goddess Artemis… but before Paris was a vampire and Helen was a warrior, they were the true Paris and Helen of Troy that met their untimely demise as mythology tells us. Although now, in Blood Prince, they are reborn into something else, separated by thousands of years, Paris hunting for his true love and Helen’s memories of her past wiped clean. It slowly became a tale of something more with a supernatural twist.
This author has phenomenal storytelling skills. Her writing is beautiful and elegant, using the most of her words to pull the reader into the story with actions and emotions. I really wanted to give this book 5 stars, but I held back because I felt like I needed more love and passion between Paris and Helen and the action overshadowed their reconnection. I mean, we are talking about one of the greatest and epic love stories of all time, so for me, I needed more of that undying love and devotion pouring out from these characters instead of strategic battle moves. But, I still enjoyed it and definitely recommend it to readers who love mythology, fantasy and paranormal.
Blood Prince is an imaginative spin on the mythological tale of Prince Paris and Helen of Troy. The lovers, parted for thousands of years are reunited here in this tale of demons and vampires and other mythological creatures. It’s a fantasy romance, a dangerous, passion filled adventure, as Paris and Helen aka Elena set out to retake his kingdom and destroy their enemies. Great characters, a spellbinding story, and Celia Aaron’s awesome writing skills make this book a wonderful read. I loved it.
4.5 Stars
This is a book within a series but is definitely a standalone book as I had no sues reading and understanding. I truly loved the characters and 5he history involved within this story. My on,y issue was that it seemed to have man false conclusions. About 3 different times I thought the story was done, only to continue. Not that it’s a horrible thing, just something that bothered me. Otherwise, great story with interesting characters and a amazing world built by the author.
What would happen if Paris of Troy didn’t die but became a vampire instead? If that’s a question you’ve always wanted an answer to, then Celia Aaron is your lady and she will more than happily tell you.
Paris and Helen were happy in love, but then Menelaus came and sacked Troy, looking for his wife. He killed Paris and Helen killed herself to get away from him.
Flash forward several centuries and Paris is now a playboy vampire prince who is cavorting with Artemis because he found out that his beloved Helen, who he thought was dead, was actually one of Artemis’ warriors and chief strategist. The problem is, she doesn’t remember him because Artemis took her memories. When Menelaus takes Helen from the streets of the City of Lights, Paris rescues her. Then, they decide they need to do something about it.
Elena/Helen is a BAMF. She is fierce, a fighter, intelligent, wily, and tricksy. She knows who she is, at her core, even if she doesn’t remember Helen, she still knows that she is a strategist and is extremely magically powerful in her own right. Paris isn’t threatened by her. He knows that the best place for her is at his side, for so many reasons. Together, they can be an unstoppable force.
5 BLOOD PRINCE STARS!! I felt like I was in this mystical story watching from the sidelines with these characters. This author is a word musician with her descriptive words that sucks us into her enchanted story lands. Paris and Elena story is beautiful, exciting, sexy and so much more. Celia Aaron can write any genre and keep us readers invested in her stories. I high recommend this book and what a perfect time to read it.
I am 100% completely in awe. Celia Aaron’s talent is such that she took a reader who is not normally a fan of paranormal and made me a convert. I was captivated from the very first page of this brilliantly epic story of Helen of Troy/Elena and her true love Paris. Aaron spun a tale that was truly entertaining. It was funny, sexy, emotional and heartstopping. The story moves at a fast pace and I was unable to put the book down, racing through to see what would happen next. It was action packed and exciting and filled with otherworldly beings. And the chemistry…..oh the chemistry! Elena and Paris were intense and they burned slowly until they completely combusted. Holy hotness! Their attraction and love for one another is off the charts! I absolutely adored these two fabulous characters together! All of the secondary characters blew me away as well. Their connections complicated and intriguing.
Aaron’s imagination knows no bounds and her readers reap the rewards in spades. Blood Prince is a story that will grip you from the first page and not let you go until long after you close the book. It’s an epic story that is not to be missed.
This Blood Prince made my blood hot!
This is the story of Helen of Troy (aka Elena) & Paris with a paranormal twist, & I absolutely loved it! The world Celia Aaron created was enthralling, & I couldn’t read fast enough to see how the story unfolded. I loved that Helen/Elena was a warrior, not some damsel in distress. Paris was all man that made me hot, & their intimate scenes were hot! I also loved that he fought for Helen & knew she was his equal. The villains were just that, villains that made me root for Helen & Paris to vanquish them & get their happy ending. If you want a book that is completely enthralling with a paranormal twist on Greek mythology & characters that are engaging, then this book is for you!
I really enjoyed this suspenseful and steamy romance! I haven’t read a paranormal story in awhile, but this cross between Greek Mythology and Supernatural beings was fun, exhilarating, and very sexy. This story was so refreshing and creative as Ms. Aaron melded two worlds together. Paris is a Vampire Prince who has refused his throne. He thought he lost his soul mate only to find she is alive and captured by a powerful demon. He will stop at nothing to rescue her and keep her safe, including going back to his kingdom. Helen doesn’t remember her time with Paris, but her heart tells her to trust him. Helen is a powerful war strategist and has her own ideas on how to free herself from the Demons hold. Paris has his hands full with this independant, kind, and sexy woman, and that is what makes their chemistry so fiery. As they spend more time together their souls reconnect and the passion is explosive. I loved all the many intriguing creatures and beings that make this so fun and breathtaking. This story is fast paced with some twists and turns that keep you totally engaged. This was a fun, exciting, and sexy journey to another realm!
Blood Prince by Celia Aaron is a second chance paranormal romance and a retelling of Paris and Helen of Troy’s story.
I enjoyed the action and being submersed in a world with paranormal and mythological characters. It was engaging and exciting.
For some undefinable reason, I could not connect with the undying love our main characters share. I didn’t feel it and didn’t quite understand why it was so epic.
Their past is not explored in any depth. I believe, for me, this may be a reason I did not connect with their relationship. Their love, in the present, has to do with what they built in the past, which we don’t get to experience very much. We are told versus being shown.
Helen eclipsed Paris as a character. She is strong, hard-headed and a fighter.
Paris, on the other hand left me wanting. I didn’t see much growth in him as a character. He has to earn back his place and I don’t believe he actually proved himself.
Overall a good read that is recommended to those who enjoy an action-filled paranormal romance.
I received an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
“Blood Prince” was an enjoyable read steeped in mythology, love and passion.
A second chance romance featuring the fabled lovers of old Helen of Troy and Paris.
The second book in this series and I would suggest reading them in order to get the most out of this fascinating world.
Though technically this can be read as a standalone as all the components are there: I just thought for me that it brought much more to the whole experience to be so fully immersed in this world.
Paris an aged vampire has been mourning his lost love Helen across the ages.
Unbeknown to him she is now a goddess’s handmaiden the battle warrior Elena and has absolutely no memory of there long history or even who she was.
To also add confusion to the mix there is also a psycho demon Ex-husband who will stop at no lengths to win back his obsession.
So this one had a bit of a slow start for me but once it got moving then it was great a visual delight of passion, adventure, magic and mythology: this is one read that was packed full of action.
A real edge of your seat ride that I enjoyed so much.
There are so many directions that this series could head: the possibilities are endless.
A really imaginative fresh take on an old legend: this one definitely gets my seal of approval.
I voluntary reviewed an Arc of Blood Prince
All opinions expressed here are entirely my own.

Paris has fascinated me since he graced us with his presence in a previous book ( Incubus )
I knew that I’d drop everything to read more about the mysterious Vampire.
I loved the connection between Elena and Paris this book sees their past, present and future collide in an epic adventure with a variety of mythical creatures.
I love the thought that went into them, they were imaginative and really made me shudder.
Paris didn’t disappoint he’s charismatic, alluring and lethal. The Striking Vamp ticks all my boxes and I love him even more now.
Elena what a badass heroine. This woman is a warrior through and through. I liked her feisty nature she made me laugh a few times too with her witty side.
If you’re a fan of PnR stories you’ll love this book. Celia has done a great job and I was riveted from the beginning.
There were some amazing characters so I’m crossing my fingers for more. I loved Apollo that guy cracked me up.
3.5 stars
“Even now, after being separated by an eternity, she was everything I wanted.”
Blood Prince was my first fantasy romance by Celia Aaron. I was curious of what I would discover and I she didn’t disappoint. However this story is much different to the ones I’m used to read by her. Most of all it’s not as dark as I suspected it to be.
“I had a million questions but seemed to forget every single one when he kissed me. I could focus on nothing but him.”
This book is a great combination of vampires, underworld and Greek mythology. If you are into all of those or even one or two, you get your perfect fill with the story of Paris and Helena.
Blood Prince is well paced and well dosed with flashbacks. It has a great story-line and it’s thrilling, spiked with steamy hot scenes.
“His fangs were a weapon. When he used them against me, I couldn’t defend myself from the rush of pleasure.”
Blood Prince by Celia Aaron is the story of Paris and Helen/Elena.
This is a Greek mythology romance story of Paris and Helen. Paris and Helen are in love but the demon Melenaus has Helen where he hurts her out of desire for her. But tragedies happens that leave us thinking they are dead but the story picks up years later where time has changed along with Helen. Helen doesn’t remember anything of her previous life and thinks that she is Elena a warrior goddess. When Melenous corners her she knows that he is someone evil and she escapes from him to end up with Pairs. Elena doesn’t know Paris but she does feel some kind of connection toward him, thinking he is the lesser of the two evils she goes with him. Elena’s goal is to keep her sister warriors from the evil Melenous. Pairs feels nothing until he happens to see Helen with her warrior sisters, now his feelings are full force. But Pairs learns that Helen doesn’t remember anything and knows only herself as Elena. Paris sets out to keep Helen/Elena safe and to bring back her feelings for him.
My gosh what a page turner….hopefully I didn’t give to much away..this was just so good I can’t stop writing about it. Loved it!
I am in love with the first (standalone) story in this world: Incubus; so when I found out that the author was writing another story in the same world I was beyond excited. This book did not let me down. While this story is a romance, I found it more like a mythological adventure with some steam between the two main characters. It was a wonderful rendition of Helena of Troy. There is not slow section of this book, so get ready to read it all at once; once you open it you will NOT put it down.
What made this story unique and well worth reading were the liberties or non-typical rules that the author employed in regards to the vampires, demons, mythology and the like. It was a unique take on each; they were familiar yet different enough that you have not read these types of supernatural creatures before. There was mystery, passion, legends and mythology that all weave together to create an amazing story. I highly recommend this story (and Incubus) for any reader looking for a steamy adventure. I received an ARC and am leaving an honest review.
