I have to admit that i couldn’t wait for this book.
Brian really is a player, but he’s also a man who thinks no further than his own wants and has no regard for what his actions do to other people, family included. After all being the little brother to the world renowned Mark has gotta have some benefits, right?
Brian Fox isn’t the most likeable man, and in the first book i really was torn between softening towards him or still disliking him. I might be a little evil but the end of the first book left me feeling content that this egotistical man finally got to feel what it was like on the other side of the coin.
That feeling didn’t last long, once again this author has blown me away, with her depth of characters and how they feel so down to earth and real.
Brian really surprised me, after losing everything, and i mean everything, his journey to not only redeem himself but to really look inside made for a captivating and emotional read. I really couldn’t put this book down and i got so wrapped up I suddenly found myself definitely leading the cheer for Team Brian. The relationships throughout this book just flow right into your heart, with no apology. Vivian crushed Brian, but his fight to not only redeem himself but to get his girl will leave you on such a book high !!! This is what romance, family, love, commitment and forgiveness is all about, add in those hot sexy Fox men and you can’t fail to know you have read a book you will want to re read again and again !!!
Can Brian Fox redeem himself? It Ended with A Lie ends with a huge cliff hanger as Brian has found himself in love with Viv. Fast forward a few weeks and this book shows Brian working through his redemption. The cocky Brian Fox of the past gets taken down a few notches. You will love the second half of this duet and the continued adventures of Vail.
Lisa Suzanne has done a fabulous job inIt Ended With The Truth is the second book in the Truth and Lies Duet. Brian’s fall from grace and his redemption are captured in such a way I felt like I was right there with him. The highs and lows of his past, present, and future come together to create the perfect conclusion to his story.
Recapping Book 1, It Started With A Lie, Brian Fox Lost everything. His best friends and the company they started together, the woman he loved, and the life he knew. I had a love/hate relationship with Brian’s character. He’s a smart businessman but also a manipulative liar. I don’t actually put all the blame on him though because those around him have always forgiven his indiscretions. Until now. His one saving grace is that he is not a willing participant in being a home wrecker. He’s been down that road before.
Vivian Davenport, aka “The Fixer”, was hired as a consultant to fix the companies financial mess. She never expected to fall for the one who lied and manipulated those around him and created the final mess the company was in. But she has secrets of her own.
They say the truth will set you free. But free wasn’t meant to hurt so much. In It Ended With The Truth, both Brian and Vivian have to deal with the ramifications of their actions. While Brian relies on his family to pull him through, Vivian is on her own. Vivian’s strength is mixed the right amount of weakness. At first, the Brian’s inner strength is misguided as he seems to want a pity party. As his story progresses, he works on redeeming himself. This redemption is not just of others but of himself too. He never thought he was worthy of certain things in life. That a happily ever after was not meant for him. Redemption can be a hard lesson to learn.
I received an advance copy of It Ended With The Truth in exchange for an honest review.
Wow! Just freakin’ wow! Lisa Suzanne has, once again, made my day! This book was so good that I savored every minute of it, yet the ending came way too soon. This is the type of story that you don’t want to end because you are so in love with the characters that the thought of parting hurts too much.
In this book, Brian has just had his entire world as he knows it, turned upside down. He lost the woman that he loved. His job. His friends. And all because he did the right thing, coming clean about his lies. Once the shock begins to wear off, he decides to try and move on. Luckily, big brother steps in to help once again. What he wasn’t expecting, was to cross paths with Vivian again so soon. Will he and Vivian finally get their happily ever after? Will he be able to redeem himself and reclaim all that was lost?
It Ended With The Truth was a gripping story about forgiveness and second chances. It was full of passion and emotions. Brian and Vivian really stole my heart, but that’s okay. They will always have a part of it anyway. Please do yourself a favor and READ. THIS. BOOK.
Wow, wow, woo! Congratulations Lisa Suzanne! Brian has been redeemed! I absolutely loved how this strong, arrogant player was brought to his knees. I felt his pain & his heartbreak. I love that Mark & Reese played such a major part in this time Brian’s life. I’m glad that we got to watch him crumble, evolve & realize what is truly important in life.
