The Confectioner’s Truth, Book 3 in the Confectioner’s Chronicles by Claire Luana
5 out of 5 stars
This book is action packed, fast paced, and heart pounding. Long after I had finished this book, I was still feeling the affects of the twists and turns this story took. Wren is back at it with her friends, companions and allies. Two weeks after the events from the last book (which if you have not read, you should stop everything that you are doing and go read Book 1 and Book 2) Wren and her group are out exploring the new lands. We meet a few new characters who add a lot of depth and interaction to the already well established characters in this book and those what have been in the entire series.
Wren goes through a period of self doubt. She has made some grievous and very costly mistakes in the recent past and she is trying to learn from them without letting them shake her. A feat easier said than done. I loved the different points of view within this story and appreciated the different aspects that each one brought to the story. My heart broke for those who suffered major loss and I was angry for those who felt that they were on the outside of justice.
Overall this book is fantastic. This was an amazing conclusion to this beautifully written series and this author did a fantastic job closing this series, with no loose ends. I recommend this entire series for all thriller/romance/mystery/suspense lovers.

I was so excited to read the final book in this series and what a conclusion it was! This is by far my favourite series from this author – I have loved every single word that I have read, with every turn of the page I got deeper and deeper into this exciting world that Ms Luana had created. The author wove a beautiful tale over these books full of twists and turns and with amazing characters. I have loved reading about Wren over these books; she has been a fantastic female lead! I loved that the author introduced some new characters into the book even though it was the last one; they blended well into an already well established series.
I truly have loved this series and I cannot recommend it enough – this was the perfect ending in my opinion!!
The Confectioners Truth by Claire Luana is the third book in the Confectioner Chronicles. This book is the epic conclusion to an amazing series. I would highly recommend reading these in order as they won’t make much sense if you don’t.
Wren and her allies are on the run and facing a new a greater enemy. Will they be able to triumph?
This series has honestly got better and better with each book. I could never wait to see what would happen next. I loved jumping back into Wren’s adventure with each new story in the series.
As always with this author the book was well written and utterly captivating. The way she draws you in and keeps you engaged so effortlessly through the whole series is addictive. Whenever I pick up a book of hers I know to set aside a chunk of time as I won’t be able to put it down. I cannot recommend this book and series enough.

The Confectioner’s Truth is the third and final book in The Confectioner Chronicles by Claire Luana. I was both excited and sad to get my hands on this book- excited to continue the adventure, but then quite sad that this incredible journey has come to an end. I can honestly say that this series is one of my favourite discoveries of the year! Ms Luana has such a fantastic imagination- and her stories reflect her masterful storytelling abilities and superb creativity. This book/series is an exceptionally good fantasy, which has been intricately woven with action, adventure, danger, mystery, suspense, humour, fun, tension, drama, and so much more. I was on tenterhooks the whole way through, and I loved every minute.
The story is a multi-layered delight, with spellbinding scene setting, vivid descriptions and exquisite world-building- which brought the whole story to life right before my eyes. I especially loved that we got to explore more of the ‘world’ in this book.
The characters are so beautifully crafted- quite dynamic and multidimensional individuals who all added to the story. Again, as with the other ‘Confectioner Chronicles’, I was completely enthralled from beginning to end and I read it all in one sitting.
All I can say is Bravo!
Now I really can’t wait to see what Ms. Luana does next!
Thank you, Ms. Luana!
The Confectioner’s Truth (Confectioner Chronicles Book 3) by Claire Luana is a fantasy, thriller, romance story. It is also the last book in the Confectioner’s Chronicles series. Claire once again has woven her magic with the perfect blend of mystery and suspense, action and danger, romance and intrigue, heartache and love, humour and fun. It’s another page turner that is so engrossing and enthralling that it feels like it is over before it began. Wren is heartbroken and still reeling from the loss and betrayal of others. On the run, tired, scared, hurt and faced with her past all the while the political unrest continues and Wren wonders if she will ever have her family back and lead a normal life again. Once again it is a book that should be on everyone’s to read list.
Claire Luana Confectioner Chronicles final book has me still thinking back to the first book. The Confectioner’s Truth exceeded my own imagination of how the story will end. Now if you have not guessed yet this is a series that you will want to read all the books in order. There are magic, secrets, skeletons in closet that show themselves, and danger around every corner. Wren is my book sister if I could choose to have a sibling. She is fierce and I enjoyed her character very much. You do go for a ride and it is a bumpy ride at that. So I advise to sit down, grab your favorite beverage, your comfortable blanket and read the The Confectioner’s Truth.
What a fantastic ending to this series! For greatest enjoyment, readers should read this book in the order presented. These books have taken me on such an amazing journey. I have become quite invested into these characters. I am still at a bit of a loss for words since finishing the book. Luana has another winner. Loved it!
A great read about decisions. After King Imbris’ death in the last novel, Emperor Evander rules over the kingdom of Alesia and people ad guild members alike are forced to swear oaths of loyalty. But when a baker goes missing and citizens start acting strangely, Wren and her friends try to escape with their lives before it’s too late. On the run, they search for Lucas and new allies so they can stad up to the emperor and free their people. But is anywhere truly safe from the might of Aprica?
A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns that I just couldnt put down. well developed characters in new allies like Ansel as a harsh exterior but caring underneath or Dash as more than just a soldier and Hale’s struggle to do the right thing was emotive and perfectly written. A spine chilling villain in Daemastra. i loved the sense of family sticking together no matter what with Imbris and family not always being related with the Confectioners which was emotive and beautifully written.
I loved the visual detail throughout the novel with hidden bays full of secret beauty with its forests ad wild sea with the hardy sailors and warriors. And the sense of colour in the fruit markets o the island. also the contrast with the Apricans crisp uniforms and the too white kitchen was perfectlyl written.
Once again the sense of exploration as the characters go further outside of Maradis with more islands and lands out there, with maps at the start to make locations clear to the reader. Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars.
Original Concepts of Magic
Very exciting story. I was completely so caught up in it that I thought so many times that I personally had no way to extricate myself from whatever difficult situation that was happening in the book. The characters were great, and I read it every spare moment for days.

The story The Confectioner’s Truth (Confectioner Chronicles Book 3) by Claire Luana is a thrilling/fantasy/romance book. It is the final story in the Confectioner’s Chronicles and is one that I loved reading. It is a page-turning book that had me wondering what was going to happen next, who was going to be victorious, and would all the characters survive? There is action, adventure, and danger. It had me hooked until I had read the final page. Wren has been the one character that I really loved reading about in this series. She is strong, independent, and loyal. The beginning of this story finds her feeling guilt, heartbroken and wondering what to do next. She feels the sting of betrayal and the loss of others. Will Wren be able to pull together an alliance that can defeat the new enemy that now rules Alesia? Will they be successful or will those who now rule Alesia be too strong to defeat? Can Wren’s shattered heart be pieced back together? Read this book to find out. The story is fast-paced. I enjoyed reading about the additional characters, many of which have already been introduced in the first two stories. I have grown to love many of them and wanted them to be successful. There are also new characters introduced. There are times when questions are raised by actions that are taken. Evil plans are in motion and must be stopped. The book had my heart beating a little faster with each chapter that I read. Awesome read and one I highly recommend.
What a fantastic end of series book! It was delicious, witty, heart wrenching, it was awesome! I’m sad to see the series end but also glad it ended so beautifully! Miss Claire did an amazing job. The characters are surprising, the world building is outstanding and the storyline is unique! 5 plus star’s
This is the conclusion to The Confectioner’s Chronicle series. I highly recommend reading the previous books in this series before this one, it is a must read story. This story is full of action and took me on a magical journey with creative characters. I loved the characters, Wren is my favorite. She has a mind of her own, determination and strong. What will happen when her past comes crashing into her present? Will she find her way back home or is her magic to tasty to refuse?
