All either of them wants for Christmas are some jingle bells, to deck the halls, and for everyone to stop finding them dates.Macie Zimmerman would love to get married and start a family. But after so much searching, she’s sick of having hope that something will work out. All she needs is a good six months of no dating– time she could spend building her business, Paws and Relax, and hanging out … and hanging out with the animals who show her all the love she needs– to be able to face it again. If only she can keep everyone in town from trying to find her a husband.
High school teacher Aaron Hall plans to never get married. He got engaged once, and it turned out as awful as his parents’ marriage had. But that doesn’t stop all his married friends from trying to convince him otherwise. And worst of all, his students are now determined to find him a wife before the end of the school year.
This Christmas, Macie and Aaron are teaming up to make everyone believe they’re dating each other so they’ll quit trying to line them up with others. But as this fake relationship takes them to holiday parties, events around town, and his school’s winter formal, and “fake” starts to feel “real,” can they both overcome their own relationship fears?

I absolutely adored this fake relationship romance! The characters were amazing – both together and themselves working through their own issues and hang ups. This book has so much development of the characters and wisdom. Lots of fun times and family.
Entertaining fake dating romance
While the story wasn’t the most believable (his students making him an online dating profile? That was a bit much) , it was still fun with a very heart-warming view of marriage & family.
It engaged me right away and kept me immersed, even with a few eye-rolling moments along the way, right up to the end.
Great when you’re looking for the diversion of a lighthearted Christmas romance!
*Clean romance level: sweet kisses
Kelli and Parker know each other from work. They had one bad date two and half years ago and since then he never asked her out again. They have become competitors at work now. He pulls pranks on her and she returns the favor by pulling them on her.
Parker was to be marrying Stephanie near Christmas and having a Christmas cruise for his honeymoon. Only the wedding never happened nor did the cruise. His parents had scheduled their 30th anniversary cruise over the holidays because they thought he would be on his. He convinces his parents to still take their cruise and that he would be fine.
Kelli’s father had gotten married and excluded her the trip he was taking with his new wife and her three daughters. Thus leaving Kelli to figure out how to spend Christmas by herself. Work had given them two weeks off so she could not occupy herself with her work.
Anyway the company that Kelli and Parker work for take 12 employees on a retreat every year. The twelve people they take on the trip are people that are spending the holidays by themselves. This year they are going to a magical resort in Myrtle Beach.
Check out the fun and romance that is in the air. This is the first book of Meg Easton’s that I have read and it certainly will not be the last. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and think you will too. Can’t wait to read more by this author.
This was a sweet Christmas romance story that reminded me of a Hallmark Movie! It was a fun story to read and perfect for the Christmas season. I really liked the main characters and the town Macie lived in reminded me of Star’s Hollow. This is the second book in a series and I haven’t read the first one, but didn’t feel lost at all. I haven’t read any other books by this author and am excited to read more. *I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily writing a review. *
A sweet, clean holiday romance. Macie and Aaron are great as a couple and have good chemistry. A story about love, family, and faith. Macie and Aaron learn about faith overcoming fear.
I liked the part about the Zimmerman Christmas stockings and the rings. I also liked the small town atmosphere of community and friendship. Aaron and Macie struggle a bit, but end up with their own HEA.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book received from the author.
Can two people who don’t want a real relationship keep a fake one fake? Macie and Aaron give it a try. Loved the meddling students, friends, and family that give them enough of a shove to make it real. Enjoyed seeing Nestle Hollow at Christmas time.
Two strangers meet accidentally (as in a slight accident). They meet again later and enjoy getting acquainted. They both are trying to stop their friends from setting them up. So they decide to fake date. The direction that takes is soon more than they expected, but they aren’t sure the other feels the same. It is a really nice story, and brings in all kinds of fun.
