This book is about the authors experience of losing her only child and her journey to live life again. On August 2, 2007 around 2:45 a.m., she received a phone call from her son’s job informing her that he had was killed in a trucking accident. Cynthia screamed from the depth of her soul while slowly going to the floor in disbelief. In one unexpected moment, her life was in a whirlwind. She kept … kept saying,”This is unbelievable” ” This is crazy.” Little did Cynthia know that she would be saying this phrase over and over again for many reasons and for many years. She was desperately seeking help in her shattered world of grief and loss. She knew her search for understanding was the key to healing. Her healing process began when she joined a grief support group. She was tired of pretending, of wearing a mask of normalcy. She realized she had only blocked the experience out of her mind, which had prolonged her healing process. Cynthia confronted the loss and began an active pursuit to heal in a healthy way. During this pursuit, she realized loss comes in many forms (e.g. divorce/ relationship, job, homes, death, etc.), but the stages of the grief process are the same.

This is Crazy is a new spinoff series by Natasha Madison. This is the first in the series and I think it’s off to a great start. I thought this was a truly entertaining hockey romance.
Even though I said this is a spin off series, you don’t have to read her Something Series to enjoy this series. Natasha does a great job filling spaces where there might be some questions. This series focuses on the youngest daughters of Cooper and Parker Stone (H & h from Something So Right)
This is Crazy is exactly what I have come to expect from a Natasha Madison book and a sports romance story. There were all the feels you want, but it was also the perfect mix of feels, hockey and drama. I found the storyline intriguing and the characters lovable and relatable.
This is Crazy is the first in this newest series. It is told in Dual POV and is a standalone read. Yes there are previous characters who play a part in this story, but like I said it isn’t necessary to read any prior books before reading this book.
What happens when a joke text turns into something real??
That is the question that is answered in this story. This story focuses around Zara and Evan. Zara is one of the twins of Cooper and Parker Stone. She is all grown up and working her dream job. She’s been dating Ed for over a year, so when he says he wants to talk she thinks it’s headed in a positive way (engagement) But when Ed shows up and breaks her heart, she is quite upset. So she sends out a tweet to Evan Richards, the pro hockey player who Ed is a huge fan of. Color her surprised when Evan answers and sets up a chance to meet. Throughout the course of the book we watch Evan and Zara become friends and get to know each other. Can they turn something that was just a revenge joke into something permanent?? Will they find their HEA?? Read this story to find out.
As I have said before, Natasha’s book continue to get better and better the more I read. She has found a fan for life in me. I don’t think there is a book out there that I wouldn’t recommend to all romance readers.
So if you are a fan of Natasha’s and have read her Something So series, then you definitely don’t want to miss this new series. But if you are a fan of a sports romance, then this is one you will want to read!!!
Once again we find ourselves embroiled in the lives of the Cooper Stone Clan.
Zara, one of Cooper and Parker’s twin girls, is all grown up and trying to recover from a break up with #pencildick.
Revenge is the name of the game and Zara approaches @EvanRichards, her ex’s hero, to crash his upcoming nuptials, as her date!
What follows is the sweetest, most romantic coming together that you can imagine. Evan is the quintessential gentleman and Zara falls at his feet.
Evan gives her brother and BIL a run for their money in the ‘protecting my woman’ stakes which effectively opens the door to the mighty Stone family.
Our hero is just that. He’s totally swoon-worthy and Zara, as well as many readers I’m sure, could become faint, if on the receiving end of his natural charm.
He proves time and time again that Zara, and her happiness, is his number one priority.
The brat, that we have known Zara to be, has disappeared at the hands of this magnificent hockey star and is replaced by a starry eyed temptress!
Starry eyed is exactly how this book will leave you… In fact 5 starry eyed!!
WOW!!!! I think this has to be my new favourite Natasha Madison book! Evan and Zara are EVERYTHING!
This is Crazy is book 1 in a new series, but has our favourite characters from the amazing Something So series also feature throughout the books.
This story follows Zara (Parker and Coopers Daughter) and Evan.
When Zara’s Boyfriend drops a bomb on her out of the blue, she thinks she’s lost the love of her life. But when she discovers her ex is getting married, she finds a way to get him back. Queue Evan.
Evan is the hottest NHL player in Texas right now and is used to getting attention. But when he gets a tweet from Zara Stone, THE Cooper Stone’s daughter, he doesn’t hesitate in responding.
What starts as a revenge plot, quickly turns into something so much more. But with them living in different states and certain family members out to ruin things, can they really make it work? Or will the whistle blow early and end the game?
Where do I begin with this book? This is Crazy is a MAJOR swoon fest from beginning to end. Evan has to be her swooniest, most romantic Book Boyfriend yet! He knows Zara is a game changer from the minute he meets her, and every time they are together just confirms it for him.
What I love about this couple is that they are honest and open about their feelings, their emotions and fears. He’s alpha but not an arsehole. She’s independent but not a bitch. They both have strong careers and are successful in their own right. They are loyal to the core and respect each other greatly.
How Evan treats her, takes care of her and loves her just melted my heart. I know we all love an arsehole sometimes but it was refreshing to read about a man actually respecting a woman from the get go.
What I also loved was the relationship Zara shared with her twin sister Zoe, as well as the rest of her family. Evan embraces it and respects it wholeheartedly. His nicknames for Max and Matthew cracked me up! The guys never fail to entertain us with their Uber alpha ways, although Vivien’s one liners definitely gave them a run for their money!
There are so many laugh out loud moments throughout this book, and even has hints that remind me of Tempt the Boss!!! There’s a bit of everything in this story. You will laugh, cry, shout and swoon and I loved every single moment of it.
A GINORMOUS 10 from me, but for goodreads benefit I’ll give it 5/5
