I have really enjoyed this series and was so happy to read a new one!
This addition has been my favourite one yet, there was something special about it and it was perfectly paced.
Thoroughly loved Nathan and Tiffany’s story!
Loved it
Raven has a tough case. Tiffany is a 30 something widow, who is tired of being alone. Dating isn’t working for her. She married her soul mate and lost him way to soon. All she wants is a sensible arrangement. A man to share her life, a home, and to grow old with. She doesn’t expect to find love again. She is hoping Raven can help her. With no close friends Raven is stepping into the roll they would normally take.
Nathan is 45, divorced, with two daughters in college. He is tired of being alone. Scrolling through and laughing at dating sites, he comes across Raven Swann. Intrigued, he reads every testimonial on the site, sees all the happy couples in so many age ranges, he decided to take a chance. He enlists Helen his 82 year old neighbor and friend and his daughters.
Sweet, a little steamy, second chance at love romance. Loved Nate and Tiff”s story. Helen, and Beth, Tiff’s 18 year old personal assistant, a hopeless romantic, are great support characters.
I love Rocklyn’s books they are an automatic buy for me. I know I will get a great story. Can’t wait for the next book.
arc review For honest review. This is a story of raven a marriage broker so when tiffany and Nathan want a spouses they call her. This was such a cute story and beautiful love story.
Before I start a Rocklyn Ryder book, I have to block out about an hour , so I can read it straight through without any interruptions. As always, endearing characters, an upbeat writing style and a HEA.
Mrs. Tiffany Henries-Rowe is not looking for “true love”, which she tragically had with her first husband, who died a week after they were married, from an undiagnosed congenital heart condition. After years of being alone, she is now looking for a “sensible arrangement” for companionship and security. Yet, she turns to professional and expensive marriage broker, Raven Swan, to find her a husband. But Raven warns her “what’s right for us is never quite what we are looking for”. Raven is very good at her job and picks Nathan Wright as the perfect man for Tiffany. He has been divorced for many years and his two daughter, who he only got to see every other weekend, are now adults. He is lonely and wants to fill his empty home and empty bed with someone who will love him. He stumbles upon Raven’s web page and fills out the application, having his daughters and his neighbor be his team. They are all thrilled that he wants to marry again. Can Tiffany let go of her notion that she would be disloyal to her first husband if she falls in love again?
The 11’th book in the Arranged Marriage series, but absolutely stand-alone. I love these books! Short and sweet with a little steamy! Told in dual POV with HEA. Tiffany knows exactly what she wants when she hires Raven to find her a husband. Raven knows the difference between what Tiffany wants and what she needs. Nathan hires Raven because he is a new empty nester. Even thought these stories are short the aren’t rushed. I loved it and highly recommend!
Our awesome Raven Swann has definitely got her hands full with this latest match. A young widow who doesn’t believe she is capable of love, only a sensible arrangement. A divorcee who is finally willing to attempt at love again.
Tiffany is a very young woman who is a widow, not married long at all before an accident takes him from her. She told Raven she is not interested in love. She owns her own book store, and has shut herself off from getting close to anyone, in fear of losing them too.
Nathan is a man who had a bad run with love. He is divorced from a woman that treated him poorly. He is a father of two grown daughters, who mean the absolute world to him and the reason he didn’t date much, they were first. Now that they are adults, he realizes he is missing the companionship of a wife/lover/friend.
A dinner date with chaperones is the first step. Nathan is not thinking that the woman he is meeting is going to be as young as she is and a widow. Tiffany isn’t expecting this extremely hot man to be the one she is meeting for dinner. During the dinner Tiffany notices that all the women are trying to get Nathan’s attention, but he only has eyes for her. There is quiet moments that get drawn out, but once they start talking, they realize how easy and comfortable it is.
At the end of dinner, both of them do not want to just let this end so soon. There is another chance to spend some time together when Nathan asks her to coffee. That coffee leads to much more intense getting to know one another, and in a very delicious way. It is like a perfect union, both feeling the connection they share. Someone gets really scared, thoughts of things in life being replaced, and runs.
Nathan is really at a loss, he doesn’t understand how it felt so right and so very good, to her not being able to even discuss it, just gone. It happens to take someone in Tiffany’s life that overhears the reason being Tiffany’s actions. She gets a hold of Raven, and Raven calls Nathan. Once Nathan hears and realizes what Tiffany is feeling it makes him really go the extra mile to show her that he is not giving up. In fact he doesn’t even realize he is already in motion to get to her until he shows up at her bookstore. Once there, there is a very brief moment of nerves on both their parts, but that quickly fades and he ends up surprising her as well as himself, and only in the most awesome way.
Raven has done it again!! (Really wish there was a real Raven Swann for some of us out there!) Nathan and Tiffany are together and traveling down that happy ever after road, and not just in a sensible arrangement.
Another excellent story by Ms. Ryder in the Raven Swann series. It was great to get a glimpse into this matchmaker’s personal life. Thank you for this Ms. Ryder. As expected the characterizations are very well done. I especially enjoyed the inner voice dialogue of the main male character. He was simple scrumptious! The female senior citizen character was pure delight throughout this story! Super sizzle between the two main male and female characters. A lovely match-up, great romance and sensual scenes. An absolutely wonderful way to spend a couple of hours. Thank you kindly Ms. Ryder for the enjoyment!
I voluntarily received an advance review copy of this novel and I am leaving and honest and unbiased review. I have no affiliation to this author.
Where do I begin? I really enjoyed this book for many reasons. I liked the fact that this story was about an older couple. Both looking for a second chance at love. Though Tiffany seems to think her time has come and gone since she was widowed. Nathan did not have a good marriage the first time around. The second reason I I enjoyed this book is the fact that Raven was more hands on with this match than she has been in the past. I also liked the appearance of her husband Duncan. We get to see how supportive he is of the work she does with her clients. Tiffany may have only been looking for someone to share the everyday things one may run up against. She got more that she could ever want in Nathan. I liked how he was patient with her and willing to help her see that what they have is real and that it’s okay to be happy and love again. Great story and great HEA! I am looking forward to more books in the future. Glad to see Ms Ryder is back and ready to let us experience more of her great books.
