This book has been re-edited and reformatted.Michelle is my addiction. She’s sweetness and light wrapped up in a delicious package. Almost as delicious as the confections she makes. Until now, I’ve kept my distance to make sure my darkness doesn’t taint her. She’s better than a killer who sits behind a scope. I watch her from afar. Getting dragged under her spell a little further with every sweet … with every sweet smile and mischievous grin. I know I’ll cave one day, give into the craving to be near her. Being in her presence is a feeling like no other, one I can’t seem to resist.
Unfortunately, I’m not the only one living under her influence. While I was watching her, someone else was watching too. But she belongs with me, no matter what anyone else wants.
Now I need to make sure she gives me my next fix of her, even if she’s too stubborn to admit she wants to. She’s my addiction, cure and redemption all rolled into one. Her soul calls out to my own. I’ll make sure she’s as addicted to me as I am to her. She’ll crave me – if it’s the last thing I do.

A fun yet exciting sequel. This is an enjoyable series and the characters are fun and likable. Damon is the epitome of strong silent type, but after two years of avoiding shell he gives in. Not that he has been idle those 2 years. He has spent that time chasing off any unworthy would be suitors. Now that Shell has given in he will do anything to keep her safe and happy. But not everyone is pleased they have finally got together and danger is about to burst into their lives.
Update: I apparently downloaded a draft copy of this book. The editing is complete in the new version I have, so I’m upping my rating to 3 because the annoying “seriously, get an editor” feeling is now gone!
This book could’ve been much better if the author didn’t rush through plot points to move the story along. Michelle and Damon had an antagonistic relationship for two years to hide their attraction to each other, until Damon decided he’d had enough of stalking and standing on the sidelines, watching Michelle live her life. Damon was gruff and could be sweet, but Michelle was annoying. I wish that Michelle had been less childish, because that would’ve made for a better story.
I was hoping that this series would improve, but the annoying personalities of the females are turning me off. The one redeeming quality is the friendship of the men. They’re what you’d expect: funny, a little immature, and supportive of each other. If the next woman is less annoying, I may give the series another chance. I really hope that less annoying and less immature is in the cards for this series.
A sweet romantic read that brings Damon and Michelle together…finally!!! Damon is one big sweetheart. Add in some laugh out loud moments and you have a thoroughly enjoyable story!! A great book in this series. Those big, bad SWAT alphas are swoon worthy.
The second book in the SAPD Swat series, there is stalking, burglary, kidnapping, and attempted murder, suspense, drama, danger, a villain, and a love story. A fun book to read. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book is the perfect blend of heartwarming and hilarious. There was no stopping once I started reading it. I am looking forward to the next book by Ms. Mays. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
Damon has wanted Michelle in his life but can’t bring himself to do anything about it. He sees himself as all darkness and she is everything bright. That didn’t stop him from basically stalking her and driving away any guys that showed a smidgen of interest. Michelle is attracted to Damon but the way he acts makes her kick herself for that attraction. He is a jerk, grunting and such, ignoring her so she figures he hates her. When Damon hits his breaking point, he figures he isn’t good enough for her but he would be stupid to let another guy swoop her up. Now he has to convince her that he has had these feelings all along. Will Michelle take a chance on a big grouchy hot pain in the butt named Damon?
I usually don’t read a lot of romantic comedies. The stuff that usually happens in them isn’t funny or believable so it comes across as ridiculous and annoying. This is not one of those books! Addicted to You was funny, sweet, sexy, scary and totally believable. Damon is a tad clueless as most guys are. Michelle is a strong chick with vintage fashion sense and a strong sense of self. Her and Damon along with their crowd of friends are magic! This is the second in a series but I haven’t read the first one yet, so I can honestly say it stands alone. It did make we want to go read the first one as soon as I can. I loved every moment I spent with Shell and Damon and I can’t wait to see what Nikki Mays brings us next!
