I enjoyed my time with these characters and this unique story. It’s got a great message and really demonstrates character growth, especially for Cyrus. I really loved his interactions with Elara and seeing how they find a way to cope with their new reality together. Can’t wait to see what’s next in book two.
This is just the kind of sci-fi/fantasy that I love. It’s got all the makings of a well-written, intriguing book that will have you craving more. The author did a wonderful job of introducing us to the main characters and weaving together a one-of-a-kind story that you just want to learn more about. I am not one to give away spoilers, but I will say that if you are looking for something otherworldly (as in traveling to other planets!), with witty and real dialogue, then you should definitely check this one out.
I am so excited to JUMP into book 2!
So first of all, TEAMJAX!
This has a StarCrossed/KyleXY/ Roswell feel and I love those two shows! So I was very pleased when I found out what kind of characters I was getting invested in!
I really enjoyed this book. I literally could not put it down. I had to know what happened next!
I was totally in as soon as someone came out of thin air and appeared. scratch that. When a mysterious figure was hiding in the shadows!
I laughed, I held my breath l, I even yelled at one point OUT LOUD at one of the characters in this book. lol.
The plot moved at a good pace and the characters were relatable. Real. I wish they were. I need Jax to be!
This is a great first to the series and I can’t wait to dive into book 2! Good thing I have it already!
J.M. Buckler! Well done!! I’m looking forward to entering the world of Aroonyx!
I’m blown away by this urban fantasy, science fiction, and romance novel starring the delightful characters Elara, Cyrus & Jax! The author enthralls us with her story, which includes relevant characters with typical struggles, yet there’s something else….
“Once I stopped focusing on what I found to be his faults, I began to see him in a lighter way,” ~ I love how the author teaches lessons and morals to the reader through the growth of the characters!
Each of us could learn a lesson from Elara, she’s such an amazing and typical young lady, quite possibly could be my daughter, your daughter! Excellent job! All too often in life we judge others, critique them and try to change them; when in reality we should just accept them. Such an amazing journey Elara is on and I enjoyed riding along, as she developed into the character she needed to be for the story!
But wait, not only did I fall in love with Elara, she’s captivating, but what about Cyrus and Jax? OMG, such amazing characters! Girls everywhere are going to <3 them both!
Eager to read the next book in the series, I'm hooked as a reader and as a teacher, this book will be in my library for my 6th graders to read, as the book will develop as they do, growing along with it.
