“Honeybee, I haven’t a drop of honorable blood in my body. I’m cold. Selfish. Hollow. And I greatly enjoy the reputation my cruelty has gained me.”They call him the Winter Wolf.Nicholas March has few morals. fewer friends, and a notorious lack of honor. And his heart? What remains of it is cold, desolate and locked away. He learned long ago the lessons of betrayal. Never trust a woman. Recognize … woman. Recognize others will expect the worst. And no matter the cost, always retain control of any situation.
Grace Willsdown has no patience for Society’s silly games and no desire for the imprisonment of marriage. When a secret lien against her home is revealed, everything she treasures lies clenched in Nicholas’s palm. She must make the Devil’s bargain to save it all.
Five nights of pleasure and the claim will be dissolved. But neither Nicholas nor Grace anticipate the depths of their desire after their first night together. Consuming. Tender and brutal. Boundaries become distorted. What is the bargain? And what is true emotion?
Will they brave the storms and fires to unlock their love? Or turn their backs when the five nights are done?

I absolutely love the chemistry between the two main characters, as well as the supporting characters. Can’t wait to read next book in the series.
Sexy
I would have liked a little more background on the main characters, but I loved the story.
Too XXX for my taste.
08/10/2021 “The Untamed Duke” (nook) kept my interest from beginning to end. Nicholas had been ill-treated by his abusive father and turned his heart cold. Grace was strong and determined. She fell in love with Nicholas and would not give up on him. The story is sad, full of angst as well as emotional turmoil. I went through several tissues before the HEA.
Nicholas August Harris March, Duke of Richeforte AKA The Winter Wolf was handsome, rich and I loved him in Chapters 1-2, then proceeded to hate him in Chapters 3-33 and he started winning me over in Chapter 34 to the end. He really had some terrible problems – it just was so hard to have any sympathy for him.
Grace Willsdown doesn’t care about society and their silly rules; nor does she have any desire to marry and give up her freedoms. Her parents have died and she just wants to get back to her estate and her loving horses. Grace is eavesdropping and hears that Nicholas holds a lien against her property and that threatens her horse breeding business and all of her plans. Grace decides to make a contract with the Duke, which after negotiations ends up to be 5 nights spent with him. After she gives herself to him for the 5 nights, he will give her a paid note freeing her and her property from him.
As much as I disliked Nicholas, I loved Grace and the secondary characters were very likable! Her love for her stallion, Llyr, and his antics were fun and the barn fire was a very emotional read for me. I loved the story that April Moran created – it was full of emotion, some humorous bantering, lots of sex but I didn’t let that ruin the story, a HEA!
This historical steamy read was my 2018 find of the year. If you like old school authors like Susan Johnson & Brenda Joyce, you will love this book.
While Grace tries to figure out a way to save her beautiful land and horses she is forced to make a deal with a handsome devil… Nicholas that is he is the Duke that owns her land. It is either sell her body to his grace or have to marry the dreadful Tristan. She chooses to let Nicholas have his way with her and finds that she is falling in love with the man. This was my first read by this author and I loved every minute of it. I find her characters to be well written and you will be rooting for their HEA. I look forward to reading more by Ms Moran.
This is book 2 of The Taming series, but it can be read as a standalone. I did not realize when I read it that it was part of a series. It is also my first historical fiction type of romance that I’ve read.
I was impressed. The the female character has a big personality just as much as the main male character. She’s definitely an independent gal despite the time frame the series is written. She fights for what she wants. It’s hard to say who tamed who, but they each have to put in quite a bit of work. Very sweet, kind of steamy romance. Definitely worth reading.
I have never gotten into historical romance but this would change my mind!! It was sassy and steamy! I loved how strong willed she was and their love story was truly beautiful!!! Had my laughing and crying, it had all the feels!!
Wow, wow, wow! I haven’t read a historical romance in a very long time however I couldn’t resist reading this book after having read the blurb. There is just something about historical books that I love and this book was no exception. I loved every single minute of this book and I simply couldn’t put it down. A mix of steamy and sensual delight, a must read. I highly recommend this book.
