Dawn Henderson has never met a man like her new contractor, Garrett. He carries impossibly heavy equipment, and he’s strong and committed in an old-fashioned way she’s never seen in her life. From his sparkling amber eyes to his unbelievable muscles, there’s just something otherworldly about him. When danger threatens Dawn’s new home, she might be in for a big, furry surprise.Garrett Wilson is a … Wilson is a giant, friendly bear of a man with an actual grizzly inside him. When that grizzly sits up and proclaims that his curvy new client is also his mate, he’s ready to get his capable contractor hands on much more than her house. But Dawn knows nothing about shifters, and Garret can’t just throw her over his shoulder and stalk off to his den, bear style. He’ll have to take it slow, and hope she doesn’t run when she sees his growly side.
As things get steamy between Dawn and Garrett in Silver Lake, danger is threatening to sabotage everything they’ve worked to build. But their enemies are about to see that this teddy bear can get downright dangerous when the safety of those he loves is at stake.
Love at Furst Sight is the first book in my Built Fur Love series, and can be read as a complete standalone! It contains a commitment-obsessed bear, a shifter work crew who treat each other like family, and small-town shenanigans with a little mystery on the side.
MY BOOKS WILL NEVER CONTAIN: Cheating, unfaithful heroes, or an ending that is anything but happy.

Dawn had messed up parents, no family who ever cared about her except for her grandfather. Now that her grandfather has died, Dawn has decided to leave the city and love her grandfather’s dream of country life. After such an awful family, Dawn is paranoid and nontrusting, she lives her life and job through the intranet. Dawn hired construction people to build her a small home, 3 hunky men. She is drawn to Garrett, can she let him in?
Garrett is a bear shifter, own a construction company, has a family of a cougar and wolf shifter. Garrett talk Dawn about building her a small home out in the middle of nowhere. Garrett had a feeling Dawn was his mate from the moment he heard her voice. Will his easy going attitude be enough to get through to Dawn?
** spoiler alert ** Garrett knew the second he laid eyes on her, that Dawn was his mate. Dawn has only had one person she has ever been able to trust. Will she learn to trust him? Will they find out who wants them gone?
I loved these two characters. I loved how Garrett admitted that he wanted her, but was determined to not push her to far. I didn’t blame Dawn for being hesitant, given her past, but loved when she opened herself up to the possibility of them. Good read!
Dawn was willed property from her grandfather who raised her most of her life. After his passing she wanted to build a dream home on the property. She calls BCW to build it. When she meets gorgeous Garrett and his two co workers Grayson and Hunter they are a sight to see. Garrett knows that dawn is his mate the first time she talked with him on the phone. Only problem is he is a shifter and she’s a human. When her property is being messed with Garrett and his friends find out who is doing this and too keep his mate Dawn safe. Could dawn be his mate? Or think he’s Looney and push him away. Great read
Okay, I have to admit, I can’t resist reading anything by this author. I’m not even that big into shifters, but I snatch up every book she puts out as soon as I see it. I got hooked on these books with the Date a Dragon series, which was an interesting and new (to me, at least) concept, and I fell in love with the characters she creates and the optimistic world-building. Man, I wish these shifters were real! I read all the books in this three-part (Built for Love) series one right after the other, and I was sad to see I was out of books in that series when I finished the last one. They are just fun, relaxing, and what I would call a “beach read,” with that all-important HEA at the end!
I love everything that terry writes because is easy, fast and enjoyable! She is the queen of shifters dragons series! And this one feature a Bear, wolf and a cougar. Sexy combination!! This was Garret and Dawn story. Great introduction to the three friends and the big teddy bear getting his mate!
After the death of her grandfather, Dawn Henderson moves to Silver Lake and hires contractor Garrett Wilson. Garrett knew there was something special about Dawn when he talked to her on the phone. Garrett knows she is his mate but he is a bear shifter and while his bear is ready to claim his mate, Dawn needs to come to know Garrett as a man before he reveals what he truly is.
This was different for me because Garrett seemed so gun shy to make his move on Dawn. Good story, slow burn.
Ooh, a new series from one of my favorite PNR authors, Terry Bolryder! Only she would be so brilliant to create a series around handsome, studly construction workers. What I like best about the series is that each book stands on its own — no cliffhangers in sight! A must-read for PNR fans. Five paws up!
