He’s a scribe looking for answers. If only a cagey—and frustratingly attractive—singer will let him help.Summoned to the Gulf Coast of Louisiana, Rhys of Glast, Irin archivist and scribe of Istanbul, must convince a legendary Irina singer to trust him. His success could shift the balance of power all over the Irin world and give singers an important key to their past. Meera didn’t call for Rhys’s … didn’t call for Rhys’s help and she doesn’t need it. The scribe’s mission is to bring more martial magic into the Irin world while Meera has been looking for a path toward peace. She’s convinced that some other motive is at work, and his stubborn arrogance doesn’t pass for charm in her hallowed opinion.
Discovering ancient Irina magic should be something both scholars can agree on, but can these two rivals find any common ground? Neither Rhys nor Meera can ignore the simmering heat between them, but will attraction overcome the caution that has shaped both their lives?
THE SEEKER is an all new, standalone, enemies-to-lovers supernatural romance. It is the seventh book in the Irin Chronicles, a romantic contemporary fantasy series by Elizabeth Hunter, USA Today bestselling author of the Elemental Mysteries.

Audiobook review: Oh Rhys! I have liked his character from the very first time he was introduced in this series. I had hope that he would find his one and only. Meera makes a great fit for him! The story is interesting and entertaining! The characters are likable and relatable. The narrator did a great job with providing unique voices for each character and appropriate tone inflections for each scene.
Elizabeth Hunter brilliantly continues writing these epic storylines. ‘The Seeker,’ is the seventh novel in the Irin Chronicles; Our focus is now on Rhys and Meera, and their knowledge seeking journey, in finding the Wolf. These characters are wonderfully written and beautifully paired. Their journey together takes place in New Orleans… and having just visited this very rich location, I can tell you that Elizabeth does an amazing job at transporting you there! This novel has become a fast favorite! It is a beautiful story and a must read!!
Just finished Book 7 of Elizabeth Hunter’s Irin Chronicals. The Irini are the offspring of Angels and humans mentioned in the Bible. This is my favorite series from Hunter, who has the most creative and imaginative way of weaving her magic. Although each of the seven stories in this series are about related characters, you could read any of them alone and have perfect understanding of the unique story line , as it is presented afresh with each story. All seven stories are written with a sensitive insight into the human, and at times the divine inclinations of humanity.

Another fantastic journey into the Irin world!! I was immediately captivated by the strong beautiful characters that Elizabeth created in Rhys and Meera, especially incredible sexy snarky banter between the two. It was so much fun learning about a new part of the Irin world with a characters that I already enjoyed from the previous books.
Elizabeth has this amazing ability to continually add worlds that she creates without them becoming absurd, repetitive or or predictable which happens with many longer series while allowing both the new and old characters room to develop and grow. As with all of her other books had major problems putting this book down and definitely was not ready for it to end.
I am always excited to see where she will take us next!!
Wow! Rhys has finally met his match! Meera and Rhys have instant sparks. I love their banter and Rhys’ persistence. The overall series storyline is unfolding and intriguing. Vasu is still around and making things interesting. I enjoyed seeing Damian and Sari again. And the smalls doses we saw of Malachi. Can’t wait for more! Full of mystery, passion, love, trusting your heart, action, and family.
With the release of “The Seeker,” Hunter invites her readers on a ridealong in the romance of one of the original Irin characters, Rhys.
I’ve been panging for Rhys’s book since The Scrive released back in 2013. Five years was a long wait, but it was well worth it. In Meera, Rhys has a counterpart that matches his wit, his mild arrogance, and his love for the passions of life. She’s a tough cookie, one who, even in the Irin world, has a status that keeps her somewhat removed from it. Rhys and Meera join forces to find who may be one of the oldest Irina still remaining, a journey that takes them into ancient American cultures and modern geopolitics.
Is there romance? Yes, of course. Hot, steamy, make-you-question-why-men-like-this-don’t-exist romance. But Hunter’s worlds, plots, and characters have always had a lot more at stake than a hookup. Showing that the Irin and Irina aren’t immune from the human condition, there’s also elements of death, cultural legacy, posttraumatic stress, and mental illness.
There’s also beignets, and damn, but you have a good book where there’s beignets.
The central themes of the Irin world are still at play here, namely the duality of complimenting personalities, and the multidimensionalism of women in and out of their relationships.
Another stellar installment in the series.
