The Daughter of Beaston is hurting. Remington Novak is stuck in a city, her whole life altered for a man who didn’t keep her. A life change comes in many forms, but for Remi, it comes as a newspaper clipping, sent by her best friend. A Last Chance Crew up in the mountains is looking for help, and her skillset matches the requirements. Must like animals? She was a grizzly shifter. Must be okay … with crass jokes? She was raised a Grey Back in one of the roughest Crews in existence. She could surely handle a few rowdy boys. When she shows up for the interview though, it’s clear she’s made a grave mistake. Kamp demands her inner bear’s attention immediately, but he’s dangerous to her body and soul. Something’s wrong with that lion shifter, and the more she tries to figure him out, the deeper she falls into a dangerous admiration for him and these mountains he’s claiming as home.
Kamp is out of options. His days are numbered in his Crew, his lion needs to be put down, and every day looks just the same. Wake up, fight the Alpha, fail at his job, sleep, repeat. He’s lost too much to recover, but one look at the fiery-eyed beauty, and this lion shifter lumberjack aching to change his destiny. It might already be too late, but now every day is worth fighting for just to see the growing smile on Remi’s face.
Two damaged shifters, one fate, one helluva mountain to climb to get this Crew to C-Team status. No one could’ve got him living again, but maybe…just maybe…the Novak Grizzly can save him.

T just knows how to write a story like no one else I read! Novak Grizzly is the first in a new series that brings us back to the mountains and makes you remember why you loved all her previous books and characters so very much!
I always am sad when a book ends but I know that soon I will be reading a new one and coming home!
Oh this book tugged at my heartstrings. I just felt like all the guys in this book just needed a hug.
These shifters are in what they call the last chance camp. They feel like they are one step away from either killing each other or needing to be put down. Kamp is the most reasonable one but he also has demons of his own. He is the only one who cares about keeping their jobs and meeting the quotas.
Remi doesn’t know this until her friend and father intervene that she is in need of a purpose. She is sent to the men to help straighten them out and takes an immediate interest in Kamp. Slowly to figures out what makes them each tick and also who there issues are to help them get along and at least care about one thing together.
When you find out why Kamp is so heartbroken, you can’t help put fall a little more for him.
Contents is meant for adult readers.
I loved the original crews from Damon’s Mountains, and I am super excited to read about their children. Joyce does “broken” so well. I liked these books because the pain of these shifters comes through the written words. I like the family feel of the stories. I think these are really great books, well written, well edited, wonderful characters. Can’t go wrong reading T.S. Joyce.
A great story with fun characters, I loved this story! It has An interesting plot that centers on a bunch of broken lions and a special bear. I loved the crazy personalities and the concept of the guys trying to kill each other every night, like that was just normal days. Remi and Kade have chemistry and their personalities mesh, they create a lot of steam, but the meat of the story comes from Remi trying to fix this last chance crew. It’s been a while since I’ve read this author, I’d forgotten how good her writing is. I’m definitely reading the next in the series!
WOW! I love these books! All of them!
This author quickly became my favorite! I have loved every single book I’ve read and now I automatically buy all her new releases with needing to read the description.
The daughter of Beaston – Remi has been discarded and made to feel less than, when she is encouraged to make a move that brings her closer to her destiny. Kamp, devastated and broken from his loss, has his eyes and heart opened to have hope. Such a wonderful connection between these two. And then toss in the adorable Raider. But you will have to read this story to find out how he fits into the Rogue Pride Crew.

I returned home to Damon’s Mountains…
Omg where to even begin…First and foremost, if you have read any or all of Damon’s Mountains like myself, you should already know that this book is amazing.
I sh*t you not when my mom recommended Bear My Soul (Fire Bears Book 1) by T.S.Joyce to me, I was instantly hooked, and if you saw my kindle list you would see I read every book related to Damon’s Mountains, one after the other with no other book or author in between.
So when I finished her Crow Series (5 that series for sure) and saw we were returning “home” I could NOT contain my excitement!!
My mom, sister and myself were sitting around the whole of September waiting patiently for this book/series and when it finally went live, we were reminded of how freaking amazing T.S.Joyce is and how much we truely love the mountains. Just when you start to think, “how could this book be any better than the others,” She throws you Beastons badass daughter, one sexy and messed up Lion, a crew of nutjobs and a bag full of old favourites!
This series brought all the feels and all the love I have for these mountains, with 40+ books and not one bad thing to say about them, you bet your a** I’m going to be recommending this book beyond highly to you all.
*Note: if you have not read any of the previous books from Damon’s Mountains, I suggest you do. You will appreciate this book even more.
Lastly if you HAVE read Damon’s Mountains and you love Beaston as much as I do, then this book is for you!!! #girlslikethingsthatmatch
T. S. Joyce
This is Remi and Kamp’s story. Remi is the daughter of Beaston and she’s been living in California for a few years, because of a college love and denying her bear. But things don’t work out with her boyfriend and she makes her way to Oregon by via Juno and her dad. Another crazy crew maybe worse than the other crews. These are lions and they are all broken. Remi might be the glue that helps them. With her humor and bringing memories from her home here. Pretty good and relateable to the other groups.
I love every book this author writes. You can’t go wrong with any of the series. I’ve read every single one & look forward to when new ones come out.
I love T.S. Joyce’s books and this one did not disappoint.
** spoiler alert ** Remington Novak is struggling with a break-up and being stuck in the city. Kamp is struggling to contain his lion and knows that he is on a last chance crew. Fate is working for them. Will Kamp and Remington be able to work together to overcome their struggles?
I’m a sucker for a T.S. Joyce book and this book was no different. I loved how despite what had happened to her, Remington saw the good and was able to recognize the potential! I absolutely loved how despite his struggles, Kamp was there for her and how he was different with her! Absolutely loved this book and once I started I couldn’t put it down!
