She’s sworn off men. He treats life like a game. When a deadly bell tolls, can they ring in the suspect and still make their own sweet music?
Wedding planner Zoe Plum will never risk love again. But when her latest meticulously organized event implodes, the dog-loving gal’s hopes for financial independence and the down payment on a house go up in smoke. And things only get worse when she’s … worse when she’s forced to work with an overly laid-back wedding singer who just rolled out of bed.
Levi Dolson works hard to live up to his phony rock ’n’ roll charisma. So when he lands a gig that will put him side-by-side with the one woman who’s managed to resist his appeal, he vows to charm her into a sexy duet. And he certainly won’t stand by and watch her life snowball into a series of disasters, so he leaps at the chance to prove he’s better than advertised.
Dogged by inexplicable attempts on her life and a shadowy enemy, Zoe realizes Levi’s unwavering support is tempting her to end her six-year-long dry spell. But Levi’s persistence has its limits, and he’s prepared to hit the road if he can’t melt her heart.
Can the unlikely match drop their masks, survive the saboteur, and quench their own desires?

What a great book. It was an opposites attract romantic comedy with all the feels as well as having a suspense subplot. The characters were well developed, complex and relatable. Highly recommend!
Zoe Plum is trying to be the best event/wedding planner in San Francisco. She is an intense type A personality. As a side gig she is a sex toy representative. She was stood up at the alter 6 years ago and has not dated since.
Levi Dolson is a very laid back musician and lead singer of a rock band waiting to make it big. He is also a groomsman in the latest wedding Zoe is planning. They flirt like crazy but she only wants him for his body, he wants more. The
Levi works his way into her heart as they deal with a sick parent, a possible arranged marriage, a vicious news reporter and her best friend ‘s wedding all while trying to elude a killer and adopt a psycho puppy.

I don’t know what I loved most about this book. Levi? Freddy? Zoe? This book had all the feels. I “fell in love” with Levi the moment he entered the church all disheveled and ready to fill in as a groomsman. He was so charming that it was hard not to like him. I think I want to name him as my next book boyfriend. You don’t usually expect a rocker to have a softer side to him, but Levi was funny, kind, and sexy without being a jerk.
I loved Freddy! My nephew owns a dachshund and she is so much fun. Every time Casey wrote the inner dialogue of the dog, it made me laugh because I can so picture our dachshund doing the same thing. Dachshunds are the best!
It was easy to like Zoe, and also feel sorry for her. She was strong and feisty. She was very independent without being a total feminist. I liked her banter with Levi. Their chemistry was palpable. She had so many things happened to her, but she never quit doing her best. She was loyal 100%!
This was just a fun book. I loved the friends, the dogs, and the villains. There is a huge shocker at the end. I totally did not see that one coming and I’m usually great at guessing the villain.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
A Wedding Planner’s Romance/Mystery…Bark!
This time is the rescue series it’s Zoe the wedding planner and Levi, the wedding singer who are out to solve the mystery of who is trying to kill her and why.
The characters from The San Francisco Dachshund Rescue Center are present again to add continuity and spunk to the overall arc. It’s also where Zoe finds Freddy, the adorable Wire Hair Dachshund to adopt.
Along with this mystery there is Zoe’s mom who needs help recovering from a TIA and trying to curtail her matchmaking.
As with the other stories in this series, the tone of the book is lighthearted and easy to read. I most definitely recommend this story and the series for your reading enjoyment. PEACE.

Zoe Plum is a wedding planner. She is a sexual health representative on the side. She encounters the flirtatious Levi Dolson at the most harrowing wedding of her career. She hopes the Wedding Expo will help boost her business even higher, only to find herself running into Levi again. The sexy rockstar refuses to take no for an answer. A series of accidents threatens to ruin all of Zoe’s plans for her best friend’s wedding. Can Zoe pull off a miraculous wedding for her friend Piper? Will she finally open her bruised heart to Levi?
Levi Dolson is the lead singer for a promising rock band. He agrees to be his college friend’s last minute, stand-in groomsman. Levi cannot conceal his growing interest in the cool and aloof wedding planner. In hopes of furthering their association, he signs up for the Wedding Expo. However, Zoe continues to play hard-to-get. When a series of disastrous incidents follows her, Levi tries to help her uncover the saboteur. Can Levi sway Zoe to take a chance on them? Or will he be forced to give up on her for good?
I cannot help but like and admire Zoe. She is the ever practical, responsible, and confidant one of her trio of friends. However, Zoe has been hurt in the most horrendous way possible. I like how Zoe’s past heartache and pessimism does not interfere with her business. She strives to make every customer’s dream come true on their special day, regardless of their bizarre demands. What I adore the most about Zoe is her steadfast dedication to her two best friends. There is little she would not do for Piper and Addy, even jeopardize her life and business for them.
What is there not to like about Levi! He is such a fun character! Levi’s outgoing personality really balances out Zoe’s cool and collected demeanor. I admire Levi’s determination to follow his own path and dream rather than the one set up for him. He knows better than anyone what would make him happiest. What I love the most about Levi is his determination. He never once gave up on Zoe. Levi knew that she was well worth the wait. He realized that she first needed to heal before she could open her heart again.
A WEDDING TAIL is the third book in Casey Griffin’s doxie-themed series, A RESCUE DOG ROMANCE. The author received the rights back from her previous publisher to this fun series, which gives her the chance to reintroduce it. This story got a touch up too, as with the previous two. It is shorter than its 2017 release. I do recommend reading this series in order. Each story can stand alone; however, there is a background plot that spans the three books. Also, readers can get a better understanding of Piper, Addison, and Zoe’s close bond.
A WEDDING TAIL is a remarkable tale of one woman finally letting go of the past to heal and discover love again. I am delighted that the author announced there will be a fourth book. Yay! More dachshund books to look forward to. I cannot wait to see who is next!

I won a copy of this book from Goodreads giveaways. I was not compensated or required to give a favorable review. This was a wonderful story about a wedding planner that seems to be having a lot of unfortunate things happen to her. Starting with a wedding disaster because of her assistant, then the a mix up with her place at a wedding expo, her friends wedding dress being dress along with her van, and while this is all happening there have been a rash of murders going on in the area. She is being targeted for everything that is happening. Between replacing her rescue Dachshund, meeting a new guy, dealing with her mothers fall and financial issues. Zoe just feels like nothing is right. It was a wonderful story.
A Wedding Tail was a super fun, fast paced novel with romance and a suspenseful mystery. I loved the first two books in the Rescue Dog Romance series, but this one may be my favorite.
Before I go on, I want to mention that I worked in the wedding industry for years and could totally relate to the wedding scenes, including the unhinged bride, underhanded competitors, and the myriad of disasters. It was like all my funniest and worst wedding nightmares rolled into one.
The main character, Zoe, was a delightful blend of competence and ambition combined with a ton of quirks and a wide streak of crazy. This mixture made her feel real to me, like a friend I wanted to shout at and hug at the same time. I especially loved that she had a sex toy business on the side and was an expert on the subject, but had chosen to not have an intimate relationship with anyone.
Laidback Levi was the perfect stubborn guy to pair Zoe with romantically—and to help her untangle the mystery of who was laying traps and sabotaging her business, not to mention killing people. Levi and Zoe’s banter was fun, the tension and frustration between them was palpable, and the sizzle was unmissable.
A Wedding Tail isn’t as dog centric at the first two books in the series, but that was fine by me. It gave this novel a different feel rather than imitating the others. Plus, Freddy the dachshund made up for lost pages by being a total hero in his own right.
If you’re looking for a fun, fast paced and tense mystery with humor and romance at its heart, don’t miss A Wedding Tail, in fact read the whole series starting with Must Love Wieners and enjoy all the characters’ journeys from their beginning.
A Wedding Tail by Casey Griffin is the third book in A Rescue Dog Romance series. Zoe Plum is a wedding/event planner (owns Plum Crazy Events) and a representative for Pure Pleasure in San Francisco, California. She has been working on the Fisher-Wells wedding for the last year with an extremely difficult bride. Zoe needs the commission from this wedding to help her purchase a home of her own. The wedding day, though, has not been going smoothly. A sick horse (that was going to pull the carriage), a drunk uncle, missing groomsmen, air conditioning on the fritz, doves on the loose, the brides dress does not fit (a little binge eating), and now the organist is ill. Zoe quickly recruits Levi Dolson, guest turned groomsmen turned organist, for the job. The Fisher-Wells wedding quickly deteriorates and Zoe is out a commission. She hopes to get some new clients at The Wedding Expo where she was to have a prime booth location. It seems that it is not Zoe’s week. She finds her booth moved to a back corner right next to Levi Dolson. Levi seems intent on pursing Zoe despite her disinterest. Then someone attacks Zoe’s van and destroys an $11,000 wedding gown. This is just the beginning (so much more) of problems that begin to plague Zoe. Someone is targeting her, but she does not know why. Levi wants to keep Zoe safe and show her that they can have a happily ever after (despite her beliefs).
A Wedding Tail is a light-hearted romance novel with a mystery woven through it. There was one zany incident after another in the book. I am sure most people will find it amusing, but, after a while, I just found it ridiculous (plus the incidents made me nervous, stressed-out). My mother was laughing at the antics in the beginning, but then she agreed it was over-the-top. My rating for A Wedding Tail is 3 out of 5 stars. I felt too time was devoted to Zoe’s sideline of selling sex toys and her copious use of them (she really should invest in rechargeable batteries since she goes through so many). The mystery was uncomplicated. Most readers will pick out the identity of the culprit long before the reveal. A Wedding Tail can be read without having indulged in the first two books in A Rescue Dog Romance series. I am not the right audience for this type of story (I am too pragmatic). Readers who enjoy comedic romances with a light (airy) mystery will like reading A Wedding Tail. It is the perfect book to read while on summer vacation (and lounging by a lake, beach, or pool).
