Delightful little mystery page turner….
I struggled a bit. Slow paced. Never read Christie before so thought I’d try one. Meh.
Miss Marple’s character well defined in this mystery.
One of Agatha Christie’s best as far as I’m concerned. Miss Marple turns her extensive observational skills on the old, established Bertram’s to reveal what lies under the newer mysteries.
Miss Marple takes a step back to observe the interesting and somewhat ‘off’ events at London’s Bertram’s Hotel. Enjoyable Agatha Christie.
It has been some time since I read this book, but I enjoyed it. After reading several Agatha Christie books I want to read all of them as soon as I can.
This is classic Miss Marple, the most unique character in mystery writing from the best mystery author ever. If you are an Agatha Christie fan you’ve read this, if you’re not an AC fan – what’s wrong with you? I’ve read all the Poirot and Marples – love them all to some degree. But this one is especially charming, and the ITV production is beautiful. An intriguing story, don’t miss it!
