Can two broken halves make a whole? Ruining sh*t is what I do.
So big surprise when I get kicked out of the band I was gigging for because I bashed the drummer’s face in.
What? He deserved it.
But Willow, I can’t ruin you.
And not just because you were always the good girl growing up.
God knows you’re no girl anymore.
You’re all woman. Beautiful. Selfless.
Taking care of everyone else’s …
God knows you’re no girl anymore.
You’re all woman. Beautiful. Selfless.
Taking care of everyone else’s needs before your own.
But you can’t save me. I can’t let you.
Because what you don’t know? That little crush years ago wasn’t just a crush for me…

There are no words to describe how much I love Jaxson’s books, and WYDK just proves that point. I loved Travis and Willow’s story.
This book is an emotional journey that will break your heart from the very first page.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves an emotional, heartbreaking, but amazing read.
Travis and Willow absolutely deserve to find their happy ending after everything life has thrown at them.
Give Jaxson’s books a chance and you will absolutely fall in love with the time and emotions that he puts in to everyone one of them.
Another superb piece of writing by Jaxson! If you are looking for hearts and flowers this is not the book for you. It is raw, gritty and real. This book is about human emotions and the way in which we deal with what real life deals us. Travis and Willow are a world apart, he’s one of the local bad boys and she’s the goody two shoes, nerd trying to fit it with the cool kids. Willow is friends with Travis’s little sister Julie and completes her assignments for her. After a tragic event he runs off to make a new life on the ocean. Years later in a time of need he calls his best friend Sam to come and collect him so they can take a road trip together. Sam can’t go, so he asks Willow to go for him because Travis needs someone. Of course she does because she is all about doing things that make other people happy. He was her first kiss, she’s always loved him and now she’s standing here looking at him. It’s a tug o war, a push and pull of right and wrong, want and need. Facing the past dead on and discussing the one thing that has broken him and made him run. Are they able to find and live with themselves, with so many miles separating their lives?
Wow!!! WOW!!! Jaxson has done it again! This is heart wrenching, at times painful, beautiful love story. Travis and Willow have a painful shared past. Travis deals with it by leaving town and Willows resigns herself to selflessly help the one she loves, because there was a time when she couldn’t do that. Travis reaches a point where his self destructive ways get the better of him and his best friends asks Willow to go and check on him. What no one knows is Travis was her first crush, and heartache, but she agrees to go. Their journey is more than trip home, it’s a journey through their pasts, their present and the possibility of a future they both desperately want. There is so much more I can’t put into words….it’s such a touching, beautiful story…you have to read it for yourself, you will love it as much as I do!!
Wow. Where to start. This book will send you on a rollercoaster ride of emotion like never before. You will laugh, cry, scream and possibly throw your kindle in frustration (I keep pillows handy so I don’t break mine) but you won’t be able to stop reading the story of Travis and Willow. this author gives us the true raw emotion that stays with you for a long time to come. Along with that emotion this author treats sensitive subjects with the respect they deserve, almost as though he has experienced them himself. I definitely recommend this book, and this author. Can’t wait to see what is next on his list to be published.
What an amazing story
I loved this book is was so well written. Such a roller coaster ride of emotions. Travis and Willow are great together but their story takes you on a ride to get to their HEA.
Awesome and amazing Jaxson’s books are so heart felt and they have you hooked from the 1st page! Love your writing and cant wait for your next book!!!
Jaxson Kidman’s writing always breaks my heart, ALWAYS. And yet, by the time each story is done, my heart feels a little bit healed because slowly as the pages go by his characters start to make me smile a little. I think Travis and Willow are two of his most damaged yet, especially Travis; and I kinda like that. They’re ordinary, regular people, both with damaged souls, carrying lots of demons inside them, who find a way to love each other.
When Willow’s friend Sam begs her to go to their sort of mutual friend, Travis, and convince him to come back to their hometown, Willow’s only too glad to go. Travis has always held a special place in her heart, was her first love, her first kiss. But, Travis will break her heart over and over by the time they get back to their hometown because their shared past still has its claws on him, and if he doesn’t learn to deal with it and let go, he’ll never be in any shape to love Willow the way she deserves, the way she wants.
If you’ve never read Jaxson’s particular brand of heartache, What You Don’t Know is a great place to start – it’s emotional and heartbreaking, and beautifully told with characters that you’ll always remember.
