Due to darker themes, more mature content, and possible triggers, the recommended reading age for this third installment in the enchanting Alinthia series is eighteen and older. This is upper YA/NA crossover reverse harem paranormal romance which gets steamier as the series develops. This is not a standalone read. Full-length 86,000 word novel.more
I honestly don’t know what I thought of The Warrior Princess. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great story with twists and turns and being on the edge of your seat… but it got a little dark for me at times, especially at the end. I’m not sure I can deal with Tori’s reaction to Dane. It kind of goes against her superwoman persona that she’s been this far. and don’t even get me started on Kylie and Daniel.
Also, not nearly enough of my favorite boys in sexy situations.
This read is a little different from the previous two books. Here Tori/Alinthia is showing here true colors as the savior of the galaxy and powerful woman. She tries to stay strong even being held captive by the authorities. Will she manage to survive? Who are her allies and enemies in that new circumstances? Whi can she trust? And that the hell is Zorc agenda!??
Guys are also held captive, but by the daughter of Darkness… what will happen to them? Will they sty whole in the end?
No one can expect what will happen next as twists and turns are thrown at us constantly!
I NEED book 4 like RIGHT NOW!
WOW! The Warrior Princess had me on a rollercoaster of emotions the whole time. The whole journey through this latest installment had me laughing, crying, punching the air in excitement, and so much more while I flew through the chapters as usual. Alinthia’s strength through every new and confusing obstacle is so empowering and I can’t wait to see what else she overcomes before this series completes.
*I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book
Third installment in the Alinthia Scifi RH series. As ever, a rollercoaster of a read-lots of action, drama, sexiness!!!
Tori has been captured by a government run facility while her ‘boys’ are being tortured by Tori’s arch enemy, Alandra. How is she going to escape? Who can she trust? Be prepared for twists and turns!! Another thing, I always appreciate how Ms Davis deals with sensitive social issues in her books. This time she tackles male rape and abusive relationships. Excellently done.
Can’t wait for the next enthralling episode!
Holy smokes, The Warrior Princess is a great addition to the series. As you know from the previous book, Tori is separated from her guys and let me tell you, some crazy things go down before the reunion happens. From scenes featuring whimsical scenery to others that make you cringe so hard you consider fast forwarding until it is over.
To be honest, the cringe-worthy scenes were my favorite because the lead villain was so freaking evil, and I just loved how vile this character was. Siobhan couldn’t have written that character better.
After the bad, we get to the good, and oh my, it is so so good. I am not the one to spoil anything; therefore, you have to buy this to find out. You will not regret spending the cash on this one. I will say that the guys are unbelievably hot, and I couldn’t think of a better group for Tori. I also love that I don’t have a favorite. I love Beck the sweet geek, Dane the troubled alpha, Cooper the sexy flirt, and Maddox the hot jock equally!
I believe the best part of the book for me was finding out this is not the last in series. This ends with the beginning of another plot, and even though I was bummed this book was over, I was ecstatic to find out there will be more. I can’t freaking wait!!
I received a beta copy and volunteered to review it.
WOW!! Just when I think that Siobhan couldn’t deliver any more surprises or get any more grittier, she out does herself.
The Warrior Princess continues on where book two left us and there is no slowing down. Siobhan delivers another action-packed and slightly darker edge to it, but I loved every word of it.
The growth in these characters, especially Tori/Alinthia, with each book is amazing. And it’s not just the physical growth, but also maturity and mentally – I love that I can sense that without Siobhan ever truly saying anything in her words.
Siobhan touches a subject in here that may be difficult for some to read about, but she handles it so well. I can’t express my words enough in stating that Siobhan has always done a spectacular job in writing difficult situations with the utmost care and understanding – it’s something that very few authors are able to handle correctly.
Overall, this is the best book so far in this series. I love how it feels as though everything has been upped and we are just getting to the grittiness of the story. I cannot wait for the next book to see where Siobhan takes us next!
Another excellent installment in this series! Way to go Siobhan Davis!!!! You have pulled me in yet again and want to just keep reading and reading! Definitely way more suspense and grittiness to the story. I hate spoilers so I’m not putting anything in here that could give it away. Just READ this series! I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.
Alinthia is now the captive of a secret government agency; subjected to tests and forced training with the goal of making her a government weapon against enemy alien invasion. Her trainer- Zorc. For now, she will play along. Once she learns that her men are being held by General Arantu and his daughter Alandra she realizes that she must get stronger and learn to control her powers if she wants to escape and save her men. Alinthia finds allies, gets stronger, makes plans but it all comes with a price. She’s straddling a fine line harnessing the darkness to gain strength quickly. She realizes that Zorc is attempting to control her with the evil side of power but she is desperate. Her human side once thought of as a weakness is her best chance to stay in the light. Her love for her men is her motivation and once the bonds are reinforced she is more determined than ever to get to them. Arantu is the great threat, Alinthia is the only one who can stop him but she knows she must have her men beside her for this fight, for her happiness and well-being. Without them, nothing else matters; together they can accomplish anything.
The Warrior Princess is excellent. The best book in the series so far. It is not an easy read, however. It’s painful, ugly, emotionally devastating. There is betrayal, abuse, torture, and estrangement. But also new friendships and allies, the renewal of the oldest friendships, the deepening of love, and a new sense of hope. It’s an emotional roller coaster! These characters may be mostly aliens but they prove just how alike we all are. Some act selflessly, bravely, thoughtfully. Others are self-serving, wicked, and vile. They are each placed in situations made to test their very being; some thrive, some fail. Survival is the goal but not everyone makes it. Not everyone deserves to. The action is intense in the latter part of the book and the outcome is never certain. I realize that I am offering no details and that is intentional. The impact of certain scenes should not be spoiled because Siobhan has outdone herself!
One last warning. There are parts of this book that will upset you. There are things done that will offend you. Decisions are made, you may not agree with. Lines are crossed. Damage is done. The scars will be deep. Characters and relationships will not bounce back automatically. They will NOT BE OKAY. In the future, maybe, but not now. It’s shocking but serves the storyline to perfection. It hurts but it is so well-written. Place your trust in Ms. Davis and her characters and hold on for the final book.
Trigger Warning: Sexual torture, sexual abuse.
Oh my goodness! My heart! I found myself not able to function through life until I found out what happened. I had to keep reading, and getting through work was torture because all I wanted to do was keep reading through the pages.
Its hard to say anything about this book without spoilers but I’ll have to tell you that you won’t be sorry to pick this one up. I will say it was awesome to follow Alinthia and watch her blossom. You’ll get hit so hard with suspense, romance, friendships, emotional turmoil, and a whole lot of fingernail biting as you turn each page.
I will now be waiting very impatiently for the next book!!
What can I say about this book without giving away any spoilers?
Well I can say this and that is I thought this book was awesome and I’m going to leave it at that.
Siobhan Davis definitely knows how to weave a story that hooks her readers and keeps them hooked until they get to the end of the book which like always a blasted cliffhanger is always waiting. Lol
But even with that cliffhanger this story was awesome and I definitely can not wait until the next book is written because I have to know what else happens to Tori and her men.
So anyway yes I highly recommend this book but if you haven’t read the first two then might I suggest that you do otherwise you’ll get a little confused as to who’s who and what’s what.
The Alinthia series has definitely brought Siobhan Davis out of the YA genre. The Warrior Princess is the third book in the series. The first two books make you fall in love with Tori/Alinthia and all of her boys. Each of the boys bring out a different aspect of Tori’s personality and the first two books show the deep bond between all five of them. This book begins with ToriAlinthia separated from the boys both physically and telepathically. As they each organize escape/rescue plans, help is offered to Alinthia by a mysterious organization while hidden motives are revealed, friendships are tested and the galaxy is on the brink of war. The storyline takes a dark turn as they face events manipulated by a truly heartless and selfish person. I would definitely recommend this series to those over 18 only. I am eagerly waiting for the fourth book for the continuation of Alinthia’s story. As a member of the ARC Team, I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
“Wow” is a common first word from me after finishing one of Ms. Davis’s works and, man-oh-man, is that what’s going through my head upon finishing The Warrior Princess. I actually think it is my favorite book in the series thus far, and I usually don’t pick favorites, since they always are so different!
Of course there was some romance and some hard to read material in this installment, but most of it was action and drama. Those elements are more up my alley these days than romance and sensuality. And when the action is all magical and the drama is all heart-wrenching and character-driven like in this book, all the better! Add Ms. Davis’s amazing writing skills and characters I care about… and I’m hooked.
I really enjoyed seeing Alinthia’s personality develop and watching as her powers expanded!
I’m also glad we still get to see a bit of Tori’s old friends and family as well as watching the growing connections with her protectors and new contacts. Elder Glennev, Donovan, Tav, and Ellya all seem like great characters; I can’t wait to learn more about them and watch their interactions with Alinthia and the guys, as well as find out how all the relationships end up growing and shaping!
Wonderful Tori/Ari is learning to really kick a** and make good decisions for the kingdoms. She’s also meeting and making new friends too.
