Ellie Gorman hasn’t had a vacation in years. Working herself to the bone day and night on Wall Street has kept her mind from wandering too often to the only man she’s ever loved. The man she left fourteen years ago after their high school graduation. When her best friend lures her to join a girls’ cruise, Ellie relents. The sun will do her good. Relaxation is her top priority. No stress for a … full week.
Noah Seager has spent more than a decade fulfilling his dream of joining the Navy SEALs and serving his country. But he’s exhausted and worn out. It’s time to retire, find himself, and start a new chapter in his life. A vacation with his best childhood friend is the perfect way to decompress. Even better—a cruise.
Neither Noah nor Ellie are prepared to run into each other at the bar on the lido deck as soon as they board the ship. They’ve been set up, and they plan to toss their meddling friends overboard…as soon as they can find them.
Fourteen years ago they’d been very much in love. They’d known. Everyone had known. And then the bottom had fallen out of their worlds. Ellie has a secret she has never shared with a single person. Noah has lived with the pain, hurt, and frustration of being dumped for unknown reasons. He never should have let her go, and that realization slams into him with a powerful punch as the two get reacquainted.
While Ellie struggles with admitting her deep feelings for Noah have never subsided, Noah fights his own internal battle. She insists she can’t and won’t ever reveal the nature of their breakup. Can Noah convince her to let him back into her life anyway? And more importantly, can he let their past go, bury it, and live a fulfilling life with the woman he never forgot, knowing he will never have all the answers?

In an adult version of the “Parent Trap” scenario, one unsuspecting Navy SEAL and his ex are tricked into being trapped together in some very close quarters–the same cruise ship cabin! Obviously, things are going to get real hot.
I love a second chance romance and this one is a great one.
This is one amazingly emotional romance!
As much as I loved this book, it just about broke my heart.
Ellie and Noah were high school sweethearts with everything planned out between them. Well, almost everything. The night of graduation, Ellie broke up with Noah and ran and hid from everyone. No one understood why she did it and she refused to answer any questions. Fast forward ten years, and her best friend, Karla, is begging her to take a vacation and relax from her high-stress job in New York. Ellie finally agrees but things do not work out as she plans… and maybe that’s what friends are for.
It’s really a heartbreaking story but it has a happily ever after that had me sobbing, more than once, throughout the book. But it was so worth it!
I received a free copy of this book via the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Noah and Ellie fall in love during high school after graduation they have big plans in their lives. Ellie becomes pregnant she breaks up with Noah because she wants him to continue with big plans. Their best friends make plans to go on a cruise as boys only and girls only vacation because they haven’t seen each other in some years. The best friends really didn’t book the cruise for catch up instead they book the cruise for Noah and Ellie to get them together after 14 years. It’s amazing how you can feelings and love each after all those years.
Hot Seal, Red Wine was a story that has you intrigued from the start and the secret that Ellie has kept locked away for fourteen years keeps you on the edge of your seat. They say first loves are forever and in the case of Ellie and Noah this could not be any closer to the truth. Fourteen years ago Ellie walked away without a proper explanation, but that did not stop the fact that their hearts only beat for each other. Thrown together after all this time by meddling friends, Noah has decided he is not going to let her walk away again. With walls erected high around Ellie’s heart and the secret that she keeps buried deep inside her it will take all of Noah’s training to complete this mission. Becca Jameson never fails to disappoint with her alpha males, her strong female characters and stories that claim your heart. Fill up your wine glass, grab this book and sit back and savour the words that will hold you hostage as you float along with Noah and Ellie as they finally face their pasts.
Hot SEAL, Red Wine by Becca Jameson is book 5 in the SEALs in Paradise Series. This is the story of Ellie Gorman and Noah Seager.
Ellie and Noah about fourteen years ago were in love but things changed because of a secret. Now years later they happen upon each other again which starts those feeling that neither got over up again.
This was a good hot second change at love romance.
Noah and Ellie were both great characters and had fantastic chemistry. Secrets are revealed as Noah works to win Ellie back. Loved this story and it was a fun and fast read. The two had some mutual friends that sort of set them up. Loved it.
This was a great second chance romance, Ellie and Noah were together 14 years ago until Ellie turned around and out of the blue told him they were over just before he left to join the Navy. Now they are stuck on a cruise together due to being tricked by their friends and not only are they stuck out in the ocean but also in the same room. There is plenty of dancing around their feeling and Ellie dodging the big question of why she dumped him, which leaves Noah no choice but to win her back with every dinner, outing and day and night they are stuck on the ship together. There are plenty of will they, won’t they, please give it ago and some steamy times that have you hooked until the end!
This is a really great story. Sometimes best friends really are the best. Ellie and Noah were high school sweet hearts until the day of graduation. Meeting again 14 years later they still have the same chemistry. I really like the way this book is written with the mystery of what happened to break them up. How it effected both Ellie and Noah’s lives and made them the people they became. It is a great plot that is well developed and intriguing. I really enjoyed reading this story and look forward to reading the other books in this series.
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest
Ellie loved Noah for forever, but she had to let him go.
Noah tried to forget Ellie, but he never could.
Now, they are presented with a second chance.
Will they take it? or Will they let the past stop them ?
The characters + storytelling were very captivating
It has all the ingredients that you need for an awesome book!
Well if this isn’t a summer beach read I don’t know what is. This book was so entertaining and fun, it fit perfect with a day at the beach. This is a second chance romance, with amazing characters, a fun plot, and wonderful dialogue.
This is the story of Noah and Ellie. In high school they were together and the epitome of very romantic dream relationship. They were the ones we all dream about. But, as with life, things tore them apart and life was never really the same. Ellie had come to grips with the fact that she would never be with another man, as even after all the years (14 years apart) she still only wanted Noah. Life is never that easy, even when you know what you want. This story was not an instant love at being reunited, yes they both still loved each other, but reconnecting takes time. Trust and faith in each other needed to be rebuilt and that was the beauty of this story.
If you have never read this author before, I would encourage you to take a chance on this book. This author knows how to create amazing worlds; fun characters and dialogue that will not leave you head for days. The intimacy and humor that the author somehow can write into each story is what makes this one a worthy read.
I am really loving this new multi-author series as they take on this SEAL Team with their go to drinks as their handles. I have to go out of order for a moment for this release day, but I will be reviewing them all.
In this one best friends pull off a really dirty trick. Noah and Ellie run into each other at the bar where they were expecting to meet up with their best friends. Fourteen years have passed since Ellie broke up with Noah and while seeing him opens wounds best left hidden, they both figured they could deal. That is until they realize they would be sharing the cabin.
Ellie had her reasons for breaking up all those years ago, and trust me when I say my brain was working overtime to figure out her secret.
Noah wants to know the why, even as they make the topic off limits. I found myself wanting to smack some sense into Ellie as they plan to enjoy the cruise and the excursions.
It’s obvious these two belong together and Noah certainly pulls out all the stops to break through her barriers and learn the truth.
Sweet, tearful, fun and romantic, I could put this book down.
This was a sexy but sweet story. I really enjoyed it, really to the point that I did not go to bed. HA! Ellie and Noah were high school sweethearts until for some unknown reason, she breaks up with him. Hmmmm…..
Fast forward 14 years.. OMG they are stuck together and forced to get along. Ok, that really doesn’t fit it. They are forced to come to grips with their feelings for each other and the fact that they still love each other after all this time. Ellie has a secret and fears even attempting to let Noah back in. I loved the journey to their HEA. There are ups and downs. There are time I wanted to slap both of them.
All of that said, why the 4 star you ask. Even though I loved it, it was not the five star book that Ms. Jameson usually writes. That is the ONLY reason it is not a 5.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
Ellie and Noah were high school sweet hearts and then they broke up. Fourteen years later, the couple meet up on a cruise. Ellie is successful on Wall Street. Noah is a Navy Seal. Will the couple be able to have a relationship? Will Ellie be able to talk about her secret? A good second chance read.
Lovely story .
I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy of Hot Seal Red wine . I was pulled in from the start . This is such a great story .
The characters are fantastic and I really enjoyed reading this story . It’s a beautiful second chance romance . Well written . I highly recommend taking the time to read .
Phenomenally well-written, STEAMY, EXCITING, and ENTERTAINING! Another MUST-BUY second-chance HIT!
This one kept me up all night; I could NOT put it down! Author Becca Jameson has written the most remarkable love story! Noah and Ellie had been the pain in their high school class voted “most likely to marry and stay married.” But that didn’t happen, and fourteen years later they meet again and find that the flame still burning in their respective hearts for each other is now an inferno ready to consume them. The question is, are they ready to dance in those flames and risk getting burned or do they choose to walk away, letting the hurts from their past keep them separate? For this reader, it was so much fun to watch the antics, so emotional to hear their complete story, and so wonderful to experience the promised happy ending, that “HOT SEAL, RED WINE” has earned a 5+STAR review rating! I really could not put this book down, reading into the wee hours of the morning just to find out what happened between Ellie and Noah. As a result, the French toast for this morning’s breakfast was burned! (They did get orange juice with their cereal and milk, though.) What I do know is Author Becca Jameson has a MUST-BUY mega-hit in “HOT SEAL, RED WINE”! While I voluntarily read “HOT SEAL, RED WINE”, and this is my honest review, “HOT SEAL, RED WINE” is a novel that I will be purchasing also to support this amazingly talented author and so I can place “HOT SEAL, RED WINE” in the FAVORITES collection on my Kindle. I STRONGLY suggest that you purchase your copy of “HOT SEAL, RED WINE” today! Happy pages!
