In the mood for a steamy, second chance romance?Blake Brigham knows she’s got a bad track record in her choice of men. Prime example: her ex-husband who’s about to marry his very young and very pregnant new bride. Stupid exes. Now she’s seeing Chase, and he’s downright delectable. No, really. She could just eat him up. Have you seen the abs on a hard-working farmhand? They look even better when … farmhand? They look even better when they’re shirtless and rippling with his laughter, at least from what she can see blinking through the humorous tears.
She’s ready to go all in and sample the goods, right about the time Hunter falls onto the scene. You may not know Hunter yet, but you know the type. The best and the worst type all rolled into one. The type with history. The first love, first kiss, first everything. The kind of man who only looks better with age, and now he has the experience to top it off. Did I mention he can’t seem to keep his hands off her?
Oh, she’s got a choice to make, all right. And she’d better make it fast before she loses them both in the process.
Two Man Red is a standalone romance novel that will have you laughing, biting your nails, and will probably leave you just as torn as Blake on who she should choose … at least until you’re not! It’ll probably get you in the feels a little bit, too, but the HEA is pretty darn satisfying. Go ahead and jump right in!more
Two Man Red is book number two in the Big Man Blue by Nicole R. Locker. This is Blake Brigham’s story.
Wow! What a read! Blake is still coming terms with her divorce and her ex-husband upcoming marriage. She has been dating Chase Charleston who is a friend and farmhand for her brother. She is about ready to take a chance on this relationship then an old boyfriend, Hunter Haley, moved back to town. Will Blake choose Chase or will she choose Hunter? It’s a roller coaster ride but Blake does make choice. I loved her choice but I also felt bad for the other guy. I hope he gets his story in this series.
I enjoyed this fun and entertaining read with hot chemistry.
FYI, contains mature content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I am never a fan of love triangles and when I received Two Man Red I was not sure how it was going to be for me. I am beyond thrilled to say that that although there are two men vying for Blake’s attention that there wasn’t a nasty love triangle going on. This story is more about where Blake is in her life and what she wants for her future. There was no good versus bad in this sweet romance but there was definitely heat! This story can be read as a standalone but I actually wouldn’t recommend that. There is history with Blake’s brother and her best friend included in this story and there is a swoony, swoony, piece of their story included in this one that is truly meaningful if you had read the prequel. Seriously, swoony…read the prequel, ha ha ha.
I loved that this story was told from multiple points of view. I was able to understand what was going on with Blake, Chase, and even Hunter (the other man). Like I said there was no “bad guy” in this story. I liked both Chase and Hunter and loved that as a reader I too was able to debate along with Blake as to what guy would be best. That was kind of fun. It was a hardship for Blake because both guys in this story offered a wonderful path. I liked deciding what I would do and seeing Blake along her journey to her choice and that is what this story really is about, Blake’s journey. She had been terribly hurt and she did not want to make a choice that was not best for what she wanted for herself.
Two Man Red was just a deliciously romantic story where both guys are swoon worthy in their own respects and I love that there was no big drama between any of the characters. There are moments of sweet romance as well as some rather hilarious moments. There was everything a romance reader would want in a story and it was a quick read. That might be because I didn’t want to set the story down, ha ha, it was too cute to stop reading! There is a happily ever after that I thought was a little too HEA because things moved along really fast but it was sweet. Overall, Two Man Red is a romance that would be a fabulous beach read to add to your sizzling summer TBR pile!
This review is based on a complimentary book I received from Author, Nicole R. Locker. It is an honest and voluntary review. The complimentary receipt of it in no way affected my review or rating.
I really enjoyed reading this book & don’t presume by the title it is a menage-type of story as it is not! Blake is a divorcee who has learned not to jump into a new relationship & lose her heart to another man. She’s in a comfortable relationship with Chase but feelings are all over the map when Hunter, a first love, re-enters into her life after a number of years later. Blake needs to look deep into her heart to decide which one of these 2 men are deserving of her love & heart forever or is it too late & she has lost both of them!
This is the second book in the Big Man Blue Series. This story can be read as a standalone. This was a sweet and emotional romance. Love triangle isn’t my favorite sub-genre, but the story between Blake, Chase and Hunter is well written, with genuine characters. I love the ending and the beautiful HEA. I also love to see the characters from the first book. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Blake aka Red is still getting over her divorce and all of the emotions tied to that. But it has been about a year, and in that year, she has been building a relationship with Chase. Chase is a family friend and works on her family’s farm. But while out with Chase at a romantic dinner, she runs into her high school love, Hunter. Old feelings come up and she has a choice to make.
Chase gives her the space she needs to make her choice even though it kills him to do so. What will Red’s choice be? Can they have their happy ever after?
What a great story of new love and old love. This is very funny, romantic, thoughtful and a HEA. I received an ARC of this book from the author.
Is book was given to me. I am leaving this review freely. I enjoyed this book as much as I did Big Man Blue. The continuation of this story is fun and great. Hope you enjoy as much.
This is the second book in this series, which is also a stand-alone. It was a great summer read! It was sweet and beautiful, while also suspenseful! I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out who Blake would pick!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own
