Writing love letters to a dead woman was the sum total of Owen Tremaine’s romantic prospects without Addy Jacobs in his life. When he learned she was still alive, and that she’d suffered far worse than a broken heart, he had to fight to regain her trust and convince her he wasn’t part of the machinations—by friend and foe alike—that had put them through hell. So much has changed in the decade … changed in the decade he and Addy lost—but their love never died. Owen’s learning to be a father to her boys—one of them his own son. They’re putting the pieces of their lives back together, beginning at the point they left off.
And now it’s time for the wedding their enemies denied them so long ago, but can Owen put her dreams ahead of his fears when it comes to a dangerous choice they have to make?

Owen and Addy are at their best in this romantic, and charming second chance, love conquers all, happy ever lasting story. Adeline has blossomed as a woman, as a mother, and as Owen’s one and only into what she was meant to be despite the horrors that she endured under her ex-husband’s cruelty. She is a mother that has reconnected with her eldest son with dignity, courage and the understanding that going back is worthless when you have a lifetime full of opportunities ahead. Adeline’s love for Owen is sweet, sincere and joyful. Owen couldn’t have been more fascinating and romantic towards the love of his life or more adorable as a father and uncle. Owen was simply wonderful.
One of my favorite scenes in this book happened while the girls were planning Addy’s bachelorette party, and they guys were doing the impossible to gather info about what they were planning, their beautiful camaraderie is priceless. Owen and Addy’s wedding novella is also the book with plenty of answers to the questions that were nagging at me from Forsaken Duty.
I am so happy to see Owen and Addy get their happy ending. They have been robbed of it ten years ago so they very well deserve it. Their their wedding vows were absolutely beautiful. I really do hope they him and Addy will be able to have more kids in the future.
Owen is a natural when it comes to being a father and I love his interactions with his sons. I am happy to see Augie is slowly coming around.
Also I have to mention how I loved the way Addy made Owen lose control. I think she is the only person who can accomplish that.
And I hope that Casey and Lion will find a way back to each other once Casey is of age. Really hoping for a series for the pride boys, or at least a short story that would show what kind of lives they leading.
The interaction between Bastion and Selena is seriously hot and I honestly cannot wait for their story. In fact I am curious about the spin-off series as a whole. It shall be quite interesting.
LOVED IT!!!
I just loved everything about the story. She didn’t give us the ending of the Red Team that I feared it would be, but a teaser for the beginning of something new and more exciting. I laughed so many times, just truly laugh out loud. I’m so looking forward to reading Liege’s Legion, so grateful she gave me something else to look forward to. The build up to Bastion & Selena, they are going to be phenomenal together.
I’ve been following the Red Team series from the beginning and I’ve never been disappointed. Each book is as unique and creative as the characters she writes. You can tell that she spends a great deal of time and energy and puts an enormous amount of effort into each one trying to give her readers the best experience that she can and after all these year’s it has done nothing but get better.
Definitely a five star read! Elaine Levine writes romance with suspense like no other! Owen and Addy finally become one and the side stories just keep you begging for more!
