A fun read. Good strong characters. The story keeps your attention and rooting for them both. I loved the journey and the ending.
I really liked this book. Want to read more in series
If you’ve ever read a Celtic romance, you’ve read this book. If you’ve ever read a romance, period, you’ve read this book. It’s not a bad book, but it is very predictable and full of the lack of communication between the main characters which often passes for suspense. It builds up to an action climax that never really happens and then dwindles off, setting up other books in the series. Will they or won’t they get together? If you can’t guess, I won’t spoil it for you.
Loved these characters!
Sweet, clean romance with some spice and machismo.
I couldn’t get into it. Just wasn’t for me.
it was ok
The Warrior’s Mission is the third book in the Warriors of Eriu series by Mia Pride. I thoroughly enjoyed Flynn and Maggie’s story. I absolutely loved the heroine in this story. She is sweet and kind and very vulnerable. But as the healer of her tribe, when duty calls she is able to focus on her passion of healing others. Flynn is a great hero too. Can’t wait to read more!
Maggie has fear of men for good reason. She has seen it first hand by her own father, and the demise of her mother. She does not want it to happen to her. But when she sees Flynn, her heart stops, ans it’s hard for her to comprehend he would ever hurt her.
Flynn has had the alluring affect on Maggie, and he will do whatever it takes just to see her, even get medical care for a scratch. He has always wanted her, but his duty to the King trumps having her.
Whilst Maggie is carrying for Flynn, she accidentally sees his um….. I had to laugh because she is a innocent, and it was never her intention on seeing him in this manner. Things get hot and heavy, but he is still loyal to the king, and has to do his duty to the King. And she will not force him to leave his King.
I loved how they came together, and how in the end all that mattered was their desire for each other, but also being unselfish in what they want and their desire to protect each other.
Ireland, first century AD. A special healer, weary of men and loud voices. What could have made her that way? Maggie the village healer has only seen abuse in her life given my men to women. That is all she knows and is very skittish around men, even though she has to use her healing gifts around them. Flynn, son of one of the legendary Sisters of Danu, has grown up vigilant to constant attack by the enemy. He has not allowed himself any time to have romantic feelings for a woman until he meets Maggie. Can Flynn get Maggie to trust him when they are thrown together? Mia Pride has brought to life the era in which this story is set and the characters seem real with their strong emotions. This tale is so true even today as woman and men have faced much heartache at the hands of others. Follow the journey of this heartfelt story that will make you sigh at the end. Good can come out of evil although it takes a gentle hand to push it along.
A FANTASTIC READ!!!
Wonderfully written, easy to follow read with twists and turns that keep you captivated from the beginning. Relatable and well developed characters you grow to love as their personalities transform. With scenes so realistic you feel as though your transported back to ground zero. Emotions run high as the sparks fly when the main characters finally come together. Mia did an excellent job with such vivid detail to bring this read to life. Great job Mia.
