It was just okay.
Didn’t take long enough to develop the characters. Made it hard to follow. Jumped around. Disjointed.
A wonderful, realistic story of courage, determination in the face of daunting challenges, faith, risk, and forgiveness
A very compelling story.
A baby is dead Callie Stillman blames herself. Haunted by memories of the tiny coffin Callie can’t understand how God could expect her to put her heart on the line a second time.
Callie
Wonderful read about overcoming, redemption, and allowing the Holy Spirit to be in charge even if it’s a struggle 5
Character buildup is spot on. I experienced their emotions. I wanted to reach out and hug Sam and Iris. I wanted to offer encouragement to Callie. Life lessons off of the page and into my heart. A must read!
I got so caught up with the characters I couldn’t put it down!
Awesome book. I could not wait to se how the girls turned out. I do want to read the entire series of her books.
I found this book to be very good. Full of Wonderful Christian inspection.
Uplifting
I prefer books like this where children are being helped by very stable people who take a risk and there’s a good outcome. I know that romance novels are very popular but there are only so many plots and this book is a great story without romance being the theme or even main theme.
Good story with a happy ending!
I enjoyed reading Callie! It is an original story which is absolutely possible in this day and age. Thank you for such insight!!
Callie is the first book by Sharon Srock I’ve read, and it definitely won’t be my last. The first in “The Women of Valley View” series, Callie is an intense, through-provoking story that drew me in from the very first page. The characters were realistic; people I could see myself being friends with in “real life.” Each of these friends gets her …
Reunions
This is a beautiful story of how Callie devastated by helping someone and seeing the child lost. To try again with a friend of her granddaughter’s. Iris is a quite young girl in Sunday School and it bothers Callie. Iris talks about Sam, which is her older sister. This beautiful 17year old mom is trying to keep the rest of her family …
This was an was read and nice story. I liked the characters and how they lived their faith. There are a lot of bible quotes so if that turns you off do not read this book. It is part of a series but can stand as an individual story.
Love these books, the characters become your friends that you are hoping thee best for them. Love this book, can’t wait to read all the others in the series
