An American celebrity chef and an Italian chocolate maker cook up a magical recipe for true love.In a tiny village in the hills of Tuscany is a statue of Cupid with the power to grant the deepest desires of the heart to all who ask. The village is home to single mother Valentina, who runs a struggling chocolate shop. All she’s ever wanted was to fit in, determined to provide a quiet, normal life … quiet, normal life for herself and her daughter. She works hard to keep it together, asking for nothing…especially not Cupid’s help. Not when that would mean admitting to herself and everyone else that her deepest desire is to find the love of a woman.
American celebrity chef Andie should be having the time of her culinary life while on a PR blitz in Tuscany. Instead, a tabloid scandal that threatens to destroy her career has her hiding in a remote hillside village. With nothing to do but worry and wait, she spends her time avoiding shame and infamy by flirting with a local chocolate maker who’s as irresistible as the sweets she sells. She’s shocked by the discovery that her heart longs for much more than a temporary distraction, but even if she can convince the reluctant Valentina to give her a chance, how can she balance a relationship in Italy with a career in the States?
When it comes to realizing the deepest desires of their hearts, it just might take an act of divine intervention for these two women to find their future together!
Letters to Cupid is the fourth book in the Americans Abroad series of stand alone romantic comedies. Don’t miss Waltzing on the Danube, Stockholm Syndrome, and Holme for the Holidays!

‘Letters to Cupid’ is a feel-good romance that hits all the right notes. It’s the story of Valentina, a talented Italian chocolatier firmly in the closet. Living in a small town with gossip being one of the main activities of the populace, she fears her secret coming out. Meeting celebrity chef Andie, a woman keeping a very low profile, she begins to question her life choices. A certain statue of Cupid in the town is reputed to show those who ask the face of their soul-mate. And the people of the town are apt to believe it. I liked Valentina and hoped that she could find the happiness she deserved. Andie was caring and fun and her feelings for Valentina were obvious from the start. Miranda Macleod has a talent for humorous writing that can have me laughing out loud one minute and then feeling so emotional the next. She made me believe in the love story between the women, made me root for them. The setting was beautifully described and I could easily imagine why Andie loved it so much. The romance was tender and loving and very hot. This book left me with a very happy feeling. 5 Stars!
I was given this ARC in return for an honest review.
I worked for Fanny Farmer Candies for many years. Unfortunately, they did not have a store in Italy. Anyway, another solid and totally satisfying romance from Miranda MacLeod. I was so happy to receive a free copy of this book from the publisher because she is one of my favorite authors. I love her humor, and she really is a good writer. A step (or several) beyond your typical, cheesy romance.
A beautiful story of burning passions that are enriched by food, countryside and what can only transpire between two women, who are learning about themselves and of each other.
This is a slow burn of falling in love with all the flirtations, innuendo’s, the lingering looks that lead up to sweet whispers on the cusp of one’s ear, and the brush of her lips ..
There is so much about this book that I loved that if I wrote it all down I would give away the best parts and I don’t want to do that. 😉
Have about all of Ms. MacLeod’s books and I haven’t been disappointed.

MacLeod writes a well crafted story with charming and engaging characters. This love story is the perfect book to toss in your beach bag and lose yourself in while on vacation. Your cheeks will hurt from smiling at the characters’ predicaments and antics. This book is well worth reading! MacLeod’s books have become my new guilty pleasure!
As a person who loves to read, I find Miranda MacLeod an author whose writing style and depth of characters make reading her work entertaining. Combine that with clever wit and an ability to create locations that feel so authentic, you wonder if they are real places, and altogether it makes Letters To Cupid a terrific read. And her descriptions of the chocolates and foods had my mouth watering, and left my taste buds wanting.
Valentina is such a colorful character and a beautiful person at heart, that you cannot help but feel connected to her. The four generations of women provide plenty of laughter and drama throughout the book, then add a brash American celebrity chef and you have a recipe for a delicious adventure. MacLeod has a talent for drawing the reader into the world she creates and giving us a vacation that is a joy to visit again.

I really enjoyed this book. It was very well written and easy to read. The story was fun, whimsical and Just lovely. Once I started I didn’t want to put it down. The characters were well developed and complex enough to keep me entertained. I liked it so much I’ve put it on my ‘read again’ list. I received a free copy of this book from the pulisher.
Letters to Cupid is an excellent romance novel, even without an abundance of sex scenes. What it lacked in bed time, it made up for in character development. Valentina and Andie are fun characters who are legitimately likable, and stumble along like real people. I would love to read a sequel to this book!
This book was given to me free of charge. My review is written voluntarily.
I received a free copy of this book from the publisher, having previously read and enjoyed books by this same author.
What I like most about MacLeod’s books – including this one – is that the characters are engaging and sometimes surprising. Yes there is romance, but there is so much more than just the romance.
Letters to Cupid takes you into an Italian village where 2 worlds collide, Andie’s and Valentina’s. MacLeod manages to portray the complexities which both characters face in their lives, one with tradition and family and the other with the politics of the corporate world.
I found it a delightful and diverting read; an ideal book to escape into.
Miranda has written another wonderful love story! It has a mythological cherub, lots of sweet enticements, an amazing setting, and lovable characters! Be sure to eat a bit of something before you start reading! The food and chocolate descriptions had me almost smelling and tasting the delights! What more could you ask for in a story about love? Andi and Valentina are brought together by fate or was it an accident? In the setting Miranda puts them in, it’s easy to see why they fall in love! I stayed up really late to finish this one, so be prepared to lose some sleep! I really think you’ll enjoy this story!

Letters to Cupid was such a funny, sweet, and entertaining story. The two main characters were realistically portrayed with many endearing qualities. Andie and Valentina were smart, friendly, and mature women. Their open lines of communication and dialogue were so refreshing that this made the story flow very smoothly.
Aside from the fact that the plot was totally engaging, the setting was another added plus to this story – a Tuscan village and a chocolate shop. The descriptions of each were very vivid that you could almost feel the tranquility of the Italian countryside and taste the richness of those homemade delights.
This story will keep you entertained with many laugh out loud moments with its many memorable and interesting characters… even that troublemaker Cupid! Very highly recommended!
