“Cecy is topping my list of must read authors. She makes me cry. She makes me laugh. Hale Wilder hasn’t always been popular among the rich and famous, once upon a time he was the boy from the wrong side of the tracks; one who wanted “the girl” from the right side, but was never quite good enough in her families’ eyes. Growing up he spent hours upon hours secretly swooning over his best friend Becca Shields, she may have come from the ritzy side of town, but she never acted like it, nor did she treat him and his buddies differently because of it. But her family always made sure to put him in his place, often showing him that he wasn’t what they wanted for their precious Becca, but little did they know, Becca loved him just as much, and didn’t care at all what their opinion on the matter was. That is until one night she professed her feelings for him, and it caused an uproar, one that left them both broken-hearted and alone.
Through the years they have secretly kept tabs on one another through their mutual friends, but never really finding the perfect time to reunite and hash out all their old issues. Every time they have ran into one another at a party or something, it was always a bad time, but fate has decided it is time for them to get things worked out once and for all. Hale has just found himself in a whole heap of trouble with the government, and Becca just so happens to be the perfect person to help him clean up this blemish on his reputation. Now these two find themselves thrust together to sort out Hale’s mess, and of course deal with all this reignited chemistry that is swirling around them too!
Infinite is breathtaking tale brimming with heartrending emotion, sizzling chemistry, and unimaginable loss. Be prepared to have your heart wrecked by this one; the moment these two wounded souls walked onto the page I was completely taken with them, and mesmerized by every word of their touching reunion. This was such an enjoyable read; it had the angst and emotion I crave, the sizzling chemistry to keep things nice and hot; and two characters that completely stole my heart, I could not have loved them more! I highly recommend you get your hands on this one, it is certain to wreck your heart, in the best possible way!!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
Couldn’t get over character portrayals
I loved the premise of this book. I actually loved Hale and Becca. They were both very dynamic characters. The plotline was excellent. What bothered me was that this story waxed and waned between being contemporary romance to becoming a cheesy romance novel. When the scenes would become cheesy was when either character would go on poetically about their love and feelings. It was a huge contrast to who the characters were. It almost felt like there were two different authors writing this book. The best part of the book for me was Sean. I really thought I would love this book, but I couldn’t connect the two different characters portrayal.
4.5 STARS
Somehow Cecy Robson weaved together a second chance/friends to lovers romance to give her readers a beautiful book full of emotion!!!
From the very beginning, I knew this one would capture my heart, and it did. My heart broke for Becca and Hale within the first few pages of this book. The two had been friends almost their entire lives. Hale knew what Becca had to endure at home, and he tried his best to be her friend and protector. On the eve of them starting their lives as adults, Becca finally got her nerve up to show Hale that she loved him much more than a friend, but tragically that was yanked away from them. Becca had to choose which path her life would take, and unfortunately, it would be a life without Hale.
Fast forward years later, and both of them have successful lives…he is dubbed the “Anaconda of Wall Street,” and she is a PR queen who can turn anyone’s reputation around. The two have seen each other since that painful night, but misunderstandings and misconceptions have continued to keep them apart. Now, with Hale in big legal trouble, Becca will do whatever she has to do to help him. This could be the chance they have been waiting for.
Hale and Becca grabbed ahold of my heartstrings from the beginning of this book. Both are such good people who definitely deserve one another. I was devastated when they were torn apart. But, fate had other plans for them then. That night so long ago, Becca didn’t choose her family or Hale, she chose herself. That takes AMAZING courage! Every success she has ever obtained was from her own hard work. She epitomizes independence and tenacity!
Honestly, Hale is a lot like Becca. He worked hard for his success as well. He will have to depend on that strength to get him through this hard time, along with Becca and their friends.
As in all of Robson’s books, she creates a great cast of secondary characters who play an important role in the story. She gives her readers just enough about them to pique our interest, and thankfully includes some of them in future books of the series.
I have long been a fan of Cecy Robson. Her romances are always so much more than just romances. They are full of emotion…she can break my heart and make me cry tears of sadness, and then she miraculously pieces my heart back together, making me cry tears of joy! I always know that no matter what she writes she will have my heart and soul, and this book was no exception! As always, I’m eagerly anticipating what book will be next!
I remember while reading Eternal thinking that Becca and Hale had some kind of crazy backstory. Now reading it, I find I was right. Their second chance is full of all the feels, beautifully written with heart.
Becca and Hale had been friends for years until the night when Becca finally decided to let Hale know she wanted more from him. And to find he felt the same way was a revelation for her. Then it ended badly, really badly, when her abusive father intervened, and Becca and Hale walked away with broken hearts. Years later, Hale’s in serious trouble with the Feds, and Becca, the PR maven, is on the case. Even though Hale may hate her, she’s never, ever gotten over him, and she’ll do whatever it takes to fix this for him. But will he let her into his heart, too? Let her explain what happened that night so many years ago?
I loved this second chance story. Becca is awesome – sassy, sweet and has a huge heart that really beats for only Hale. Oh God, Hale. That man is such a swoony, broody man. He may be the Anaconda of Wall Street, but he’s a true southern gentleman. The way he and Becca reveal themselves to each other, all the pain and the heartache from years past, I may have shed a tear or two. But thank God this really isn’t very angsty, it’s just a tad emotional and sweet, but with a few bites of sadness and darkness, mainly from Becca’s horrible, horrible family and the secrets and heartache Hale discovered within his own family.
I’ve really enjoyed this series so far, and am hoping there’s more to come from this circle of friends in Kiawah.
The kind of mix of heartbreak and humor I love
Book 3 in the Carolina Beach series, I hadn’t read the first two books before reading this (though I have read the author before). Although Trinity from the first book has a relatively large role here, I never felt like I was missing out on any background information reading this book first.
I really connected with Becca; I loved how caring and supremely competent she was, and her reasons for trying to make it on her own made a lot of sense to me. As for Hale, I loved that, as angry as he was, he wasn’t too stubborn to admit what Becca meant to him. There were several great supporting characters as well; Nessa, Mason, Sean (omg, Sean!) and Trinity, even Priscilla, all had a part to play and added to the story. Nessa and Mason together already have me intrigued for what I assume will be the next book in the series.
I’m not always a fan of second chances stories but I really enjoyed this one, mostly because there are so many more layers to the story. It’s about how friends are the family you choose. It’s how the storyline of Hale’s scandal was a great setup to bring Hale and Becca back together, and the mystery and suspense surrounding it helped to suck me in and keep me engaged. And it’s about coming to terms with one’s childhood and seeing it, and the people it in, through adult eyes.
Along with the engaging plot and great characters, this book has the kind of mix of heartbreak and humor I love. Now I just have to catch up with the first two books while I wait for the next. Fingers crossed it’s Nessa and Mason’s. 5 stars

My Review:
Cecy Robson is a recent find for me and each time I read her work I adore her even more. Infinite was well-crafted and evenly balanced between heart-squeezing family dysfunction, heartbreaking insights, swoony romance, and amusing wit. I relish Ms. Robson’s clever humor and comedic observations. My curiosity was captured and held throughout each well-paced and engaging storyline. I fell hard and fast for this couple and was reluctant to put my Kindle down. There were just a few sensual scenes but oh my, they left me breathless. Cecy Robson has the word voodoo and I will gladly fall under her spell time and time again.
Becca Shields has a friend that she wants to be more than with. Hale Wilder learned a hard lesson in the past. Can a couple from the past reunite in the present? If you like a romance that comes with a second chance then this may be a book for your library.
With this story, the author goes about developing her characters and their scenes before she has us thinking relationships. One secondary character I enjoyed was Hale’s assistant – she’s an experience you will enjoy. Two more characters you will enjoy are Mason and Sean – one seems serious and the other will have you chuckle. Besides creating great characters she does a great job in creating the heat between our main characters as well as the tension that goes along with it. A mystery is revealed very slowly because she’s built the suspense first – she waited for the perfect moment before slowly unraveling things.
But will their past get in the way of what they could have now. Because of all the mystery surrounding Hale, he can use all the help that’s being offered. Becca is willing to do all that she can but I liked when she let her sassy side come out and play. One thing the author gave them in common was a family unit that was far from perfect. So they found a family elsewhere.
This may be part of a series but you could consider this a standalone. If you want a little background on our couple you may want to check out Inseverable. The setting is what these books have in common but little else. Kiawah Island actually exists so I may just have to add it to my bucket list. In the meantime, I can enjoy it from the comfort of my recliner or a nice spot on a beach somewhere.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Becca and Hale grew up as friends but the night their friendship takes a turn ends up a nightmare that separates them from years. After both succeeding in their chosen careers, they are reunited when Hale is brought up on charges of insider trading. Becca is just the person to help him recover his reputation despite Hale not wanting her there. But Hale can’t hold out long because Becca has always held his heart and he’s realizing that she always will.
I enjoyed getting to know this couple. Becca was strong and feisty as well as independent and nothing slowed her down. Hale had felt the hole left behind by her and could never fill it, dating women he would never fall for. They are both sweet characters that belonged together. The drama in this story comes from both outside forces as well as relationship issues and yet it never felt really angsty except near the end when they both have to face their pasts.
This is a relatively fast read with some wonderful secondary characters that gave me some laugh out loud moments, as well as a couple of villains that I wanted to rage at. I was never really sold on this couple’s chemistry, even though I liked them both separately and together, and despite the explicit scenes between them I would label this as medium heat due to that lack of connection. However, I was still engaged and never skimmed and I would definitely read other books in this series.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book provided by NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This book is filled with all the feels and so much more. Hale is the known as the Anaconda of Wall Street but when the FBI suddenly storms his office and arrests him his world is thrown upside down. Becca is the PR powerhouse for the Carolina Cougars who brought the football team from the brink of destruction to practically do no wrong with the media but when she finds out Hale is in trouble she is on the next plane to New York to help. Ten years after “the incident” that broke them apart and all the near misses in the years in between cannot keep them apart. Hale and Becca were meant for each other from the beginning and working together to clear his name and restore his reputation brings them closer. Great characters and wonderful settings. This can be read as a standalone.
Wow. Becca is an amazing, strong woman. Her family is shocking in their attitudes and behaviors especially towards her. After an incredibly horrendous confrontation, she pulls herself up and builds her own life away from them. But she also pushes away the one man she has ever truly loved, Hale. Hale is shocked when Becca chooses her family over him so he leaves to start his new life in New York. For years, these two build successful careers but remain apart. Then Hale’s world is shattered when he is accused of insider trading which brings Becca to his aide as an extremely accomplished PR person. As Becca works to rebuild Hale’s reputation, they find being close to each other again is a challenge. Will these two find a way to forgive each other? This is a rocky road they travel; will they find it’s easier to travel together? Or will they let past hurts keep them apart? I loved their group of friends and how they have built a unique family that supports each other no matter what. The chemistry Hale and Becca share is precious and electric. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
***5 ‘The Shark’ Stars***
After finishing Eternal, well, in truth it was while reading Eternal, Hale and Becca’s relationship peaked my interest. There was so much tension between them that I NEEDED to know what their deal was, so when it was made known that Infinite would be their story I was all in and let me tell you I got everything I had hoped for and so much more. This one hit all the feels and when I say all, I mean All. Of. Them. in one form or another and it made it very difficult to put the book down and had me wanting more even when there were no more words to read.
Hale. I adored the man. I did. At his very core he is an honorable and caring man. A good man. One who’d be there for those he calls his own when they needed him and whatever capacity, but…But, the man has a chip on his shoulder, one that is understandable to an extent, and it’s turned him into a man who tends to be at odds with his own heart and what it truly needs.
Becca is a fighter and I adored her. This woman is all woman. From her strength of will to the vulnerabilities she hides away in the deepest recesses of her heart. She has moxie, is sassy, snarky and can throw down with the best of them, no matter the arena, and loves hard and deep.
Becca and Hale’s journey was and wasn’t what I expected it to be and I enjoyed each moment as I got to know them and all that they had been through. Their road was rocky and filled with so many things left unsaid (for one reason or another) and assumptions that I expected things to be much more angsty, but I was pleasantly surprised with how they dealt with all of the issues between them. This isn’t to say there was no angst, but they acted not only like adults, but like people who had been friends and really wanted to reconnect. I loved their bantering and the flow that existed between them had me wanting to see them get the HEA they deserved.
This one hooked me real quick and I had a difficult time putting it down. The first person dual POV was done well and I liked how all of the issues Becca and Hale faced were dealt with. There are a couple of things I wanted a little more of, but that’s more of a me thing than anything else. I loved spending time with Trin and Callahan, Trin is all kinds of wonderful, but Neesa, Mason and Sean totally took this book to the next level for me. I loved the energy they brought to the book ~ especially Sean. OMG Sean. Loved him, but man…lol ~ and simply enjoyed getting to know them. So, if you love second chance romances then this is a must read!

Robson is my go to for a story with captivating characters and irresistible romance. Infinite is a reminder that perfection is not a requirement when it comes to love. Happiness is. Hale is a fighter. His life consists of making things happen for other people. Yet life seems to pass him by. He measures success by the almighty dollar and not the emotions he’s locked away. When his life is touched by scandal, his past comes back to haunt him in the form of Becca Shields. Will she calm the storm or get caught up in the tempest of love? Cecy Robson has a talent for stepping outside of the classic fantasy and rebuilding the fairy-tale. Realism and connection are mighty weapons and she uses these to the fullest.
