A new standalone romantic psychological thriller, from the author of the Falling Small Duet.Love stories don’t usually start with tripping over a dead body. But mine did. That’s when I met him.I never thought taking pictures in the woods would be dangerous. Nothing ever happened that far out in no man’s land. But when I stumbled upon a dead body and a man with a mysterious accent, I knew I was in … upon a dead body and a man with a mysterious accent, I knew I was in over my head.
Sometimes, choices aren’t simple. Sometimes, things aren’t as they seem. And now, I can’t tell if he’s my savior, or if I’m his prisoner.
When your only choice is the devil you know or the devil you don’t…
How do you choose when it’s not just your life but your heart on the line too?

Okay this story was raw, romantic and suspenseful all in one. I loved every minute of it from page one to the ending and the ending well I will say I was expecting something different but hey what I got I liked.
Another thing I loved about this story was that it was set in 1989 where there are no cell phones or any gadgets that can be used out in the open. You have nothing but what is at hand and nature.
Rosie goes out in her backyard to go take pictures when she stumbles upon a dead body and a man named Xander. At first she does not know what to do so she trusts Xander and together they are going to get through this. Xander takes her to his house and vows to protect her. I loved Xander and how he was willing to protect Rosie no matter what happened.
What will happen to Xander and Rosie? Will they kill Rosie? Will they kill Xander or is he the killer? You have to read this book to find out!
I can definitely say Rebel Ferris is becoming a favourite author and this book is another great treat.
I loved the pace and that it was a bit different from the Small Duet books.
The characters feel as true to life as if there is a way to meet them in life just like that and maybe even ask them for their story.
The style is so visual that it is easy to just be in the story and the twists are really to die for.

Left me a bit shocked didn’t see that twist coming
This starts out with a steady rhythm and slowly built till my heart was pounding and I wasn’t sure who was lying and who was telling the truth
This starts with “insta-lust” – possibly a bit of hero syndrome – but it works so well – the story takes place when life was a bit simpler – The lack of insta information, cell phones and the like added a unique twist to the storyline
The story is narrated from Rosies POV – I’m not sure if that increased the intensity of the scenes or not I do wish Xander had a bit of a say
Xander is quiet, protective and almost the perfect book boyfriend – Almost
Rosie is smart, quick to respond under pressure and doesn’t back down – I enjoyed the tenacity of her character and the way she processed what was happening just made the storyline that much more approachable
This was a solid psychological thriller that kept me engaged and never quite sure who was what -Definitely would recommend
I received a comp copy of Snapshot
So I really enjoyed Snapshot: my first book by this particular author it really was such an easy interesting read with such a tantalising mystery at its very centre.
This was actually quite a simple story mainly revolving around its two leads Xander and Rosie.
It was also rather instalove in nature which wasn’t altogether a bad thing as it did work rather well.
The story its self-takes place before the digital age which helps explain its believability.
Though events here mainly feature Xander and Rosie there was still enough going on mystery wise to keep me engaged and interested.
Though I do think Snapshot would have benefited greatly from some input from Xander’s POV not just Rosies.
Because of the lack of insight into Xanders perspective, I do think it took me a while longer to feel a connection with him and also by extension his interactions with Rosie.
I think the onesided POV was mainly used to retain the mystery but in my opinion, wasn’t really needed.
I understand this is a standalone prequel to a duet written about the daughter so will definitely be checking that out: it also explains the open-ended ominous feel I took away from this.
This really was a great first time experience with this author and I am happy to recommend.
I voluntary reviewed an Arc of Snapshot.

A snapshot only catches things as they are for that one moment in time. It can be good or bad, it just is what it is. You never know until it happens. Rosie had no idea that taking a picture could come to mean so much. . . but it did. In that moment her world flipped and was never the same. He was intrigued. It had never hit him like that before and he wanted to explore that tingle that she made him feel. He didn’t understand the draw. Intrigue, action, a whole twisted mess that turned and changed them both. Lies and distortions, death, confusion, longing this book has it all. Two people that didn’t think they would ever have love, acceptance and all that comes with it. They both find out so much about themselves and Rosie finds out that love and friendship are more than skin deep.
Awesome read. I personally was ok that the story was more than just romance. The action and twist just kept coming and I loved every bit of it. I haven’t read much of her work but I have enjoyed everything I have read!!!
I really enjoyed this book, it a romance with a twist,
no cliffhanger, but there is sure to be another book
cant wait for the next book

I thought this book was a total mind blow. The story takes place in a desolate area where she decides to go for the day and take pictures of the cliffs. Unfortunately it turns her very boring life into an almost impossible journey. It was a great adventure. Very entertaining.
The book is an interesting suspenseful mystery story that is captivating. Characters are intriguing and engaging. I appreciate reading this book.
Love over a dead body is not usual but it was for them as that is where they found love. Who is he? He helps them to escape and into his home. Is it a safe place? Is a prison? Is he a saviour or the killer? Follow the story and find out

Sooo Good!
Holy heck! An absolute attention getter right from the start sending you through a non-stop bundle of nail-biting gripping suspense and head shaking eyes bugging out twists you never see coming! Intense, edgy, exciting, entertaining, wicked twists and sexy chemistry! An amazing must read that will be impossible to put down as the adrenaline kicks in and sends your fingers shuttering at lightning speed through the pages!
This is an intense and suspenseful story that had me glued to the pages right to the end. The author does a great job bringing strong characters and creating a story filled with twists and turns as well as the romance. I loved this story and would recommend reading.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
An unconventional love story that instead of eye stares and butterflies, you get a dead body and the shuttering of a camera.
I was so hooked to this story because its different. The passion and doubt of what you think and what you should feel oozes off Rosie. I felt like her twin because even though I wasn’t there I felt her.
The twists wrapped me up good and tight. I had to know what happened. To experience Xander and Rosie get what they deserved after that nightmare was well worth it

Mind Blown
I really can’t and won’t give away any teasers, I have read this authors previous works and I was not at all expecting the outcome of this book. I read the last part in this book and my mouth hit the floor, This author is wicked and will have your brain going in circles, she really weaves a crazy complicated web, that keeps you guessing and biting your nails. This read was a ton more action/mysterious I loved it. Xander and Rosie met at a decomposed murdered body. How crazy is that, it was phenomenal and I can’t wait to see how this author tries to drive me crazy with her next release. I happily read this ARC to share of love for Snapshot.
Romance, suspense , twist and turns will keep you flipping the pages of this book. The author has a very unique writing style. I thought for sure I had the plot figured out. The author would then give you another piece of the puzzle and you would be back to guessing. I really enjoyed this book .
I LOVED! LOVED! LOVED! the characters, the weird story, the creepiness, the fear I kept feeling of turning the corner with the characters. Reading Snapshot was a consuming experience!
