After losing her boyfriend and her job in one fell swoop, Noreen has no idea what her next step is. So she puts on a new pair of sneakers and a seriously outdated pair of exercise pants, and walks. Before long she’s joined by two neighbors as lost as she is and figures out time flies and fitness is actually fun when you’re walking with friends. Throw in a road trip to Seattle for a lavender … festival, a career-coaching group that looks like a bad sequel to The Breakfast Club, some terrific romantic comedy twists and turns, a quirky multigenerational cast of supporting characters, and the result is a tribute to female friendship that will inspire you to pick up the phone and call all your old friends–or maybe even start your own walking group.
Join Noreen, Tess and Rosie as they walk and talk, talk and walk, tally their steps, share their secrets, and begin putting their lives back together. You’ll be lacing up your own sneakers in no time.

What’s a good rainy day read? Any story set on a sunny beach! This book is a fun quick read. I enjoyed the characters and plan to visit the place they visited in the story this summer.
I loved the “MUST LOVE DOGS” series but the Wildwalking Walking Club is more about introspective, self appreciation. I found the idea that Noreen could be lost in her thoughts to be difficult to follow and not too interesting. That neighbors could form deep friendship from walking together in the neighborhood is a great concept. If you need a …
Eh…….. just okay
Claire Cook is on of my favorite authors for easy yet engaging reading!
Enjoyed learning about the topic of lavender and how each character evolved. A good story, very entertaining.
Great story of real, lasting friendships and finding out who you really are. Loved these ladies and their ups and downs and their kind hearts.
Loved the character and friendship development. The realism and description made me want to search for fellow walkers/exercisers – and even an interest in lavender led to husband’s gift of seeds. Friendship between women is special, and this book describes a special bond that helps all three of the women. (Hope I have that number correct, it …
Loved the story and the characters. Great ending.
This book caught my eye because I have always turned to walking either by myself or with a wide variety of friends as my primary stress-reducer, attitude-adjuster, perspective-expander, with the bonus of being a great universal form of exercise. Therefore it would be impossible not to identify with and celebrate the entwined journeys of Noreen, …
Okay. But nothing special
JUST A LOT OF FUN TO READ.
I enjoyed the friendship that drove these women.
Enjoyed this book, very entertaining. Not only was it a fun read, it has inspired me to get up and start walking. I plan to find a few friends to start a walking group.
I even bought the sequel
I couldn’t even finish this book after just reading 1/4 of it. I figure any book that doesn’t grab my interest before that is a waste of my time. There are too many really good reads out there just waiting for me. The story was slow, repetitious, and the Author didn’t go deep enough with her character’s personalities. I am an Avid Reader and a …
I am looking forward to the next book
I really enjoyed this book. It was an enjoyable read that held my interest.
