“You look at me like I’m the last woman in the world.”“And what if you are?”While his twin brother was taking risks and making mistakes, Sean Kinney set out to be “the good son,” selling mattresses in River Canyon’s only department store, because well… Nothing is scary about mattresses, is there? After meticulously plotting out his life, Sean never thought a woman could fit into the plan, never … woman could fit into the plan, never thought he could be so reckless with his heart, despite his jealousy toward the love his brothers have found—the women they call home.
But when the strikingly beautiful and equally careful Lindsey Molloy walks into his life after setting her mattress on fire, something in his practiced routine shifts. Before he realizes what’s happening, he’s taking risks, taking chances, all for her, and he begins to wonder…
Could she be exactly what he needs to break his habits?
Could she be his home?

Oh my gosh! I just love these Kinney brothers! I didn’t think anything could top my love of Ryan but Sean may have just done it. This was just a sweet story of taking a chance and letting go. Kelsey Kingsley’s words just give me all the feels. This was a winner and I can’t wait for more of this series!
This story does a fantastic job of reminding you to LIVE, that THIS may be your last chance. Kelsey has written something new and different from all other stories I’ve read. The conversations are intriguing and pull at your heartstrings. The characters experience personal growth while together and fall in love along the way. Sean’s story is something special.
“As long as you’re alive, you can be whatever the hell you want to be, Sean Kinney. Nobody is stopping you, except you.”
Sean and Lindsey are people-pleasers. They don’t cause a fuss. They settle, and it really is sad. However, once they meet, in the most unlikely way, things start to change for both of them.
The entire Kinney crew are around and just as quirky as ever. With each new release, I fall for a new Kinney brother.
What can I say about the Kinney Brother’s, when they fall in love they fall hard quick and dirty even when it’s The Last Chance to Fall. I thought Patrick was the romantic brother but Sean might have picked up some of his swoon-worthiness.
Sean Kinney is Mr. Reliable, the perfect son, the total opposite of his twin brother Ryan well that is till he meets Lindsey Molloy and she has him thinking “What if this was my last chance…” The way Sean and Lindsey met was perfection, who hasn’t thought of doing something that drastic to ex-boyfriend things? Lindsey and Sean both do everything to please their parents but together they take a week to play “what if” without any regrets.
Kelsey, your writing is funny sexy and addicting; I’m glad to have found your books and to call myself of a fan. Please don’t let this be “The Last Chance” with the Kinney Brothers.
Ah, Seanie.
I feel like he’s the brother we know least about, so I was excited to read his book. Sean is reserved, scared, but above all else, he’s sweet and just wants what his brothers have found. And then he meets Lindsey.
Lindsey issues a challenge to Sean, but it’s really a challenge for the two of them. Will they each be able to conquer their fears and step up to the challenge?
While I really enjoyed Sean and Lindsey’s story, I felt like the plot was a bit underdeveloped. Even after finishing, I wished their story hadn’t felt so rushed. I would have loved more of Lindsey’s POV as well.
I loved the appearances of the other members of the Kinney family, and I can’t wait for more!
Lindsey only wanted to buy a mattress….but she ended up with so much more. After finding her boyfriend cheating, Lindsey sets fire to their mattress, purchasing a replacement she meets Sean when arriving to pick it up. Sean the “good” one of the Kinney boys is drawn to Lindsey immediately and finds himself on a whirl wind week long adventure to be “wild” with Lindsey. Little does he realize that she might just the best thing that ever happened to him and vice versa. As these two decide to the let go and live for the moment love blossoms. A wonderfully written love story for all, this is perhaps my favorite “Kinney Brothers” read so far. Kelsey Kingsley has done it again, everyone MUST read this one!
Sean Kinney, the quiet brother, the best student, the loyal worker, the boring Kinney! One might think that a man who eats the same breakfast every morning and has a fear of statues would be odd and a wee creepy, oh not Seanie! He’s just afraid. A big hot nerd who sells mattresses and finally takes a leap. Lindsey leads the safest life possible, not taking any chances and doing everything for everyone else’s happiness. All it takes is a cheating boyfriend and burning a mattress for her to realize that maybe there’s more. When these two meet serendipitously, a pact is made to finally live a little. We get a week of baby steps and even giant leaps. This truly romantic love story is honest and heartfelt.
The Kinney’s are like my favorite neighbors that I want to join for every Sunday dinner. Kelsey brings us the story of Sean and Lindsey and bless her heart she lets us visit with the whole clan too! Please let this not be the end to the series, we need more, always more. Thanks for another peek into River Canyon.
I think I’ve fallen in love with Sean. He is a little unconventional to be the hero, but so up my alley. I can relate to he and Lindsey in so many ways. I like the idea of finding someone and helping guide each other to be more than they ever thought possible. Loved this book!
I love all the Kinneys, but Seanie is my favorite. Maybe because he reminds me of myself just a little bit (okay, maybe a lot)! I love how Sean found someone who understood him and how they both took a leap of faith to take risks. What if this is your last chance? Using this to spur each other to take the leap… I think this spoke to me the most.
I have been loving the Kinney Brothers since One Night to Fall and Sean’s story just makes me love them more. Last Chance to Fall is a fun and sexy story with some feels thrown in the mix. I’ve been needing a new mattress, I will probably be searching for my own Sean when I am out mattress shopping. Absolutely a must read!!
Upon discovering the writing of Ms. Kingsley with One Night to Fall followed by To Fall for Winter and now in Last Chance to Fall, I have fallen in love with all her characters. The way that she forms their connections, their lives, she has the ability to draw the reader in and makes you feel as if you are in the same room as everyone of her characters.
Sean Kinney……I have been waiting for his book and Ms. Kingsley did not disappoint. A chance meeting brings Sean and Lindsey together. How can you feel an instant connection with another person upon meeting them for the first time? How can you suppress your fears to actually take a chance on something you know will be life changing? Those are the questions that both Sean and Lindsey need to answer.
Last Chance to Fall was such an inspirational, thought provoking, romantic story that when I flipped the last page, I just sat to process what I had read. This is a must read! (Along with Patrick and Ryan’s books)
And yes, he is the newest addition to my BBF harem.
Kelsey Kingsley did it again. I was addicted and totally escaped into Sean and Lindsey’s story. I loved it and can’t wait to read more in this series!
“What would you do if you weren’t afraid?”
This is the theme of the book! And it had me feeling all the feels! Sean and Lindsey had me all over the place. Fate brought them together in one of the oddest ways. And for 2 people that ALWAYS play it safe, for them both to just have this feeling that they need to spend time together! They must have seen something in each other that they knew they wanted to be a part of. While his brothers are falling in love all around him, Sean is just happy to keep on living his life as he always has. Even his best friend cant seem to get him out of his bubble. So what was it about Lindsey that made him feel like it was ok to let go? Oh and as he is falling for her, the things that he says to her just make your heart melt!
This is absolutely a book that everyone who wants to swoon should get right now! There are some really hot scenes also! But seriously the sweetness factor is on a whole other level. Sean makes Romeo look like an amateur.
What would you do if you weren’t afraid?
For Sean and Lindsey they have always played life safe, by the book, never doing anything that would upset others or their parents. They just did what was expected of them nothing more nothing less, which lead to very boring and very unhappy lives. Until the day Lindsey walks into Sean’s mattress department and she falls apart and all he wants to do is take her feel better. So after a night of drinks and talking they agree to spend a week together not being afraid, doing all the things they have avoided for fear of failure, regrets, etc.
You must pick up a copy if this book to see why they have these fears and what happens to then over the course of a week.
You will fall in love with Sean and you will want to snuggle up with him by the end of the book.
I have a new favorite Kinney brother! While you may have enjoyed Patrick and Ryan, I think Sean will find a special place in your heart. Sean Kinney isn’t the man who is driven by passion and a certainty of what he needs or the fearless man that seems to dive in head first. Instead he is cautious. He plays it safe. But what happens when he decides to live in the moment and face his fears? What happens when he has someone willing to push him out of his comfort zone?
Lindsey and Sean meet by accident. Lindsey is fresh out of a long term relationship and not looking for anything new. Sean is playing it safe and not looking for anything temporary. However, the magnetic pull between these two is evident from the very beginning. They have the kind of chemistry that is quiet but all consuming. When they decide to spend five days together, I don’t think either of them expect for their lives to be changed forever, but sometimes destiny sneaks up on a person.
One of my favorite parts of this story is that it goes far beyond the relationship between these two characters. Instead, their relationship transforms each of them and allows them to embrace the life they have only dreamed of having. The love they share gives them the wings they need to fly and embrace life…to live. For them, falling allows them to soar. Beyond that, they share the kind of quiet, all consuming love that sneaks up on you and steals a piece of your heart. If there were ever two characters that deserve each other, it is Sean and Lindsey. I was rooting for them from the very beginning to the very end.
While this book can be read as a standalone, fans of this series will also be pleased with appearances from the whole Kinney family. This close knit family continues to stick together. I was pleased with the updates on their own relationships as well as their relationship with Sean. This book is definitely a story worth checking out. It is currently free with KU, so what are you waiting for?
What would you do if you weren’t afraid?” (Last Chance to Fall-Kelsey Kingsley) This is the question posed to Sean Kinney from Lindsey. After a bad situation for Linsey, her life is turned upside down. She meet Sean and they hit it off and make a pact of sorts. Sean is very ridged in his ways, always taking the safe route and never causing trouble; between him and his twin brother Sean is the one that does everything expected of him. This book is a wonderful journey between two people with self imposed restrictions on their lives. Being together brings them challenge and a unexpected love.
I enjoyed this book so much, it made me think about my own life, and about if what I’m doing is truly making me the happiest I could be. Free your mind to enjoy the possibilities of the direction of your life. Take that trip, get together with your friend pursue that relationship. No one is promised tomorrow.
I highly recommend this novel!

Sean is the last Kinney brother to find his happily ever after.
And it might just be Lindsey. The girl who shows up at the store he works at to buy a mattress, because she set her old one on fire – after she found her now ex on it with his secretary!!
Both Sean and Lindsey are mega-careful people. They never take any chances. Always do the right thing. The safe thing. What their parents would want them to do. Sean is the total opposite of his wild twin Ryan.
But now’s the time for Seanie and Lindsey to take some risks. Do things they were always too afraid to do. For Sean that includes eating ice cream without being scared to get a belly ache from his lactose intolerance!
And while spending a crazy week together, they fall for each other. But can two people who are so similar, so equally afraid of things, end up happily ever after???
Awwwww, finally Seanie!!!! Mega adorable!
His brothers’ stories were already super cute and moving and now it’s his turn – and I adored him.
He’s so not the alpha romance novel hero at first sight. He’s afraid of ice cream and the town-square statue. But he’s so adorable. He always had to be safe and careful because his brothers weren’t. And he didn’t want to be the 3rd kid to disappoint his parents. So he became Safe Seanie.
And Lindsey is the same – she had a little cancer scare when she was 16 and ever since then she did everything in her power to be good and make safe choices for her parents. She didn’t want them to be disappointed in her and her choices in case she died from cancer or something else and left them all alone.
And now those two safe people meet and fall for each other and it’s mega adorable. Lindsey fits right in with all the Kinneys. But of course it’s not all insta happy endish. Lindsey is supposed to go back home to her parents and Sean is probably happier all alone and safe behind the counter in the mattress store? NO he isn’t – he wants Lindsey. And he’s fighting for her and his happily ever after.
I really enjoyed reading this story. It was sweet and funny and sexy and moving and daring and full of hope and love. Amazing family those Kinneys.
I didn’t love the overuse of Ehm’s – just like in all three books that ‘word’ is in here way too much. I prefer UHM, if you have to use something like that at all. Ehm sounds sooo weird. So German somehow – we say ÄHM and it’s sound horrible! Maybe it’s supposed to be Irish, but non-Irish people say it too. Also – I’m not a huge fan of the covers in this series …. BUT I really loved the story and the people in it! Great Romance!!!
