No good deed goes unpunished.I learned that lesson the hard way when I agreed to helping my friend Justin with a favor. My platonic friend Justin.A favor that helped him with his reputation but turned mine into the trending topic at my school. In a matter of days I go from quiet, nobody to school slut. The problem with that? I’m still a virgin. The whispers, the stares and the constant gossip try … virgin.
The whispers, the stares and the constant gossip try to bring me down-they almost do bring me down-but I’m tired of hiding in the dark, covering up my anxiety and being alone. I decide to take on the bullies and find a few surprising allies along the way; the Allendale Four.
Oliver, Anderson, Jackson and Hayden make up this tight-knit circle of friends and for some reason they make it their mission to protect my reputation, my heart and my soul.
That doesn’t stop the hater’s for coming after me. For the rumors and harassment to end.
More than anything, I want the pain to stop.
A Piece of Heaven is a contemporary high school novel that deals first love, bullying, social issues and self-harm.

Such a great book! Hard hitting issues that some teenagers today deal with and how they have dealt with them also the consequences of them. Also deals with some mental illness issues. Such a fantastic story. the guys suck by Heaven throughout all of the drama and helped in anyway they could even when her mother didn’t believe anything she said. Inspiring storyline with a reverse harem twist. Thoroughly enjoyable read and I am glad Angel Lawson wrote more to their story because I’m not ready to let Heaven and the boys go just yet! I can’t wait to read book 2!
Would I recommend this to someone else to read? Probably not. Would I explicitly tell them not to read it? Also probably not. This was just a very meh book for me overall. It’s a contemporary romance, reverse harem story, which is EXACTLY my type, so I was definitely excited, it wasn’t even that I had all that high of expectations though because I’m a pretty go with the flow, easy going reader, and I forgive…A LOT. But this was honestly bordering on painful a lot of the time. The plot was extremely basic and kind of ridiculous. It felt like a cheap knock off version of Easy A…but it also didn’t really make actual sense. One thing that is important for me when I read books and immerse myself in the world, is that things are at least somewhat logical, I need to believe that a character would actually do or say whatever, and have it make sense according to the world and the specific characters. Unfortunately in Heaven’s world, none of that was happening. The insta love was absolutely ludicrous and made no sense, the reasoning for her doing stuff was so stupid and didn’t make sense, and it was just like a snowball going downhill, it just kept getting bigger and worse… I continued reading, hoping it got better, I even read the rest of the series, but it’s just more of the same. She’s the victim, Wah Wah, they all love her desperately, she’s unbelievably sexy, but no one cared about her before, she has everything so bad, and she just doesn’t know better and does stupid stuff…for random reasons. If you want a fluff read that is legible, doesn’t have too many grammar problems, and has some form of a plot, then this works, but don’t expect much from the world, in terms of quality plot, character development and growth, or anything along those lines. There were some pretty glaring plot holes or just completely illogical sequences and it just became pretty frustrating as the reader to continue on. So my ultimate words are…read this at your own risk, prepare to be disappointed, but maybe you’ll enjoy it more than I did.
OMG! I bought the whole series after reading the first book. Forcing myself to go slow with them, but I just want to call off work and devour them!
An amazing series you definitely won’t wanna miss out on …
Meh, not really my cup of tea. Polyamorous relationship, some fairly large plot holes….
A topic like bullying can be hard to portray well/realistically. It’s an incredibly relevant topic, and I think the author did a brilliant job of developing the story and characters while balancing a very tricky plot. Nothing felt forced or unrealistic, which I’ve found to be a problem when some authors try to tackle high school characters. You know an author has done their job brilliantly when you feel everything the characters are going through.
This was a great high school love story, that centered around serious issues bullying, cyber stalking/bullying, slut shaming, depression and self harm. These amazing guys help Heaven break out of her depression and self harm, by bringing her into their group of friends. The girl that thought she was nearly invisible, she had a seriously long term crush on these guys and they came to her rescue when she needed it. One favor, an innocent choice made to help her best friend, ended up turning her quiet, invisible high school love upside down. A picture says a thousand words, but are those words always the truth, or are they harmful and cruel?
