“From ashes, love will rise again.” Second time I’ve read this story. It’s excellent, well written, awesome characters with great chemistry. Can’t wait to start reading the Wildfire Shifters Series.
I have been waiting for Ash’s book and it didn’t disappoint.
I understood the reason for all the secrecy behind Ash but it made things more clear from book one on now that I know. Ash is a good man. He is trying to be the best leader he can be all the while keeping a huge secret.
I loved Rose!!! She was a friend to all of them and loyal. Hearing about their story both broke my heart and also gave me hope.
great read
I own and have read all 7 books of the series. Firefighter Phoenix wrapped up the the series with a bang and left me wanting more, more, more (and also the need to reread the books of the series). Bravo, Zoe Chant!
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest
The characters + storytelling were very captivating
I was really looking forward to Ash’s story
I was not disappointed.
Ash + Rose definitely deserve their HEA !
The storytelling + the character’s build were awesome!
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
My Thoughts – 5 out of 5 Unicorns – I loved it!!!
***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! No one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book! I have bought this book because it is awesome, and I own most of Zoe’s books!
The cover is awesome and fits in with the series!
This is the 7th book in the series, and it is for adults only due to the steamy content and violence. While not mandatory, I highly recommend reading the whole series in order because this amazing world is so much better with everything together!!
Okay this book made me cry several times! I already loved both Ash and Rose from the previous books, and I always wondered what happened. I never would have guessed this story! So much back story, you feel like you never really knew either of them. Tons of action and back guys galore, you do not want to miss out on this story especially if you have read all the others! Zoe Chant has this amazing ability to make each book have the perfect mix of action, romance, and intrigue. I don’t want to spoil anything, so you really need to read this!
I highly recommend to all Zoe Chant fans especially if you love this series and to any shifter fans especially if you love mythic shifters! This was a phenomenal story!

I sure loved all the Fire & Rescue Shifters and Ash is the last of the bunch.
Dynamite book…. Definitely a Must Read!
Rose Swanmay is a Swan Shifter who lost her mate twenty years ago. But shes lonely, trying everything to pick a boyfriend, nothing worked out. When it came to men she would pick the wrong ones. Right now she wants Ash.
Fire Commander Ash is the Phoenix Eternal. The most powerful shifter in Europe. East Sussex Fire and Rescue badge
there was only ever one Phoenix at a time, in all the world. Hes hiding something from Rose but what?
I dislike stories that jump back and forward in time but this story needed to be told that way.
There are so many things to love about this story and one thing that vexed me no end.
A very emotional story full of pain, grief, heartache and what also felt like betrayal by Ash.
Poor Rose, left for twenty years with the haunting grief of a supposed lost mate. It was cruel of Ash to do that.
Not sure if I applaud Blaze’s/Ash’s actions or want to hit him. He wasted all that time and removed Rose’s memories, and it all turned out to be for no good reason. It didn’t change anything or save Rose in the end.
Poor Rose, 20 years of her life gone by without her mate. Why wasn’t Ash still searching for Corbin rather than being the fire chief for the last ten years?
Twenty years wasted so these two are now in their 40’s and have lost so much time and the chance for more children. These shifters seem to age the same as humans which seems strange and we are given a pregnancy to pacify us.
Though I really loved this story, I was also a bit vexed at the plot. Just seemed to be too easy and convenient at times. What have the Warlocks been doing for the last twenty years, not going without the power of shifters I would think but no one has picked up on this. Ice and Ash hunted them but knew they had not killed them all but only for the first ten years.
Loved going to Shifting Sands Resort though we really don’t spend any time there.
Loved that the wendigo Ice had his mate in the ocelot Miriam and what Ash was able to do for her.
Loved having the Master Shark involved.
The epilogue was very intriguing but I hate jumping 23 years into the future and having the children not even born yet being the next generation.
