What do you do when your boyfriend has an affair…with another guy?AmeliaFall for someone on the other side of the world, of course. And he seems like the perfect distraction with his hot Irish brogue. But when I cross the ocean to surprise him, it all turns to cr*p.I’m starting to think it must be something about me.Now I’m alone in the middle of Dublin, wondering how it all went so wrong. All the … I’m alone in the middle of Dublin, wondering how it all went so wrong.
All the guys I meet turn out to be douchebags and I’m swearing off men.
At least, that was my plan until he sat next to me at the bar.
The moment those intense green eyes stray my way, I cave in.
The more time I spend with Rory, the more I like him, but I’m leery.
Seems like all the guys I fall for let me down eventually.
Rory
I’m a famous music star, in Ireland at least. But I hate the limelight.
Just for once, I want to be with someone who likes me, just for me.
The moment she flashes that sexy smile at me, I’m hooked on those luscious lips.
And, I’m determined to show her us Irish guys aren’t all bad.
I like her, but breaking down her defenses is harder than I thought.
I’m up for the craic, and if she’ll let her guard down, I’ll show her I’m different.
That I’m not like the guys who hurt her before. But then, maybe I’m no better?
She has no clue who I am, and the longer I’m with her, the harder it is to tell her the truth.
I know I need to. If she finds out on her own, it’ll break her heart all over again.
And that’s the last thing I want to do.

An Irish love story
This is an interesting story. Amelia travels all the way to Ireland from New York to meet a guy that she’s only met online a few months ago. Unfortunately, it doesn’t go as she plans but then, sometimes fate has other plans for you. And for Amelia, fate wants her to meet Rory. Rory is an Irish country singer on the verge of greatness. This romance is so emotional and steamy but it is a bit of a cliffhanger, however, the second half is available.
Amelia has sworn off men after coming all the way to Dublin, Ireland, to find out the man she met on-line was no better than her cheating ex. She’s nursing her bruised feelings in an Irish pub when she meets Rory Maguire. Being attracted to each other, they have a two-night stand before Amelia returns home leaving Rory without a real good-bye and no way to find her. While Amelia is re-building her life back home, Rory gets a chance to come to America. After an unexpected meeting, Amelia and Rory reconnect, and Amelia has to decide whether she can trust her own judgement and more importantly can she trust Rory with her heart.
This was a delightful romance with its ups and downs before reaching the HFN ending. Since this is the first of a trilogy I imagine we will see more of this couple in the following stories. The storyline is well developed, with interesting characters. The narrative flows easily, changing POVs between the H & h. I recommend this as a quick sweet and appealing read!

I found this read to be a very enjoyable, sweet read. Rory is a sweet Irish country singing sensation. He was raised in a very loving family and wishes to find love for himself, but finds it hard to figure out if someone likes him or his fame. Then he meets Amelia and is immediately attracted to her. They spend some time together and for the first time Rory thinks he may have found someone. Amelia does not have a clue who he is and is getting to know the real Rory not the perceived personality. Amelia is carrying a great deal of trust issue baggage with her and keeps sending Rory mixed signals. Her actions becomes a bit confusing and somewhat childish. I would have given this one an easy 5 stars but I had a hard time relating to Amelia. Rory was such a great character and their story was an interesting and somewhat unique tale I was easily able to overlook my lack of warmth for Amelia and fall in love with Rory, just as she did. Fun read! I am looking forward to the next chapter in this trilogy.

Amelia has had her fair share of betrayals and now her last one takes her all the way to Dublin. In a bar she meets Rory and the sparks start but she is leery of men after all of the betrayals she has experienced. Rory provides Amelia with a refreshing chance to recapture love. Will Rory be her prince finally after kissing so many frogs?
This is a sexy novella about two people whose lives are completely different. Rory can’t go anywhere without being recognised and Amelia has trouble with finding the right guy.
It was exactly what I needed when I wanted to read something fun and even though it’s my first read by this author and also a novella, I’m sure I’ll be reading her books in the future.
4 stars.

I loved this story from the beginning and found I didn’t want to put it down even to sleep.
Amelia finds herself on a plane to Ireland to meet what might be the one. But she gets a surprise when she knocks on his door. Why does she seem to always pick the wrong men? When she is drowning her broken heart at a local pub, a young good-looking man sits beside her. She wants this man to talk to her, unlike the other older men who wanted to buy her a drink. After all, they were old enough to be her father and grandfather. She texts her sister about the hottie that sits beside her and Claire tells her she needs a little fun and to enjoy herself.
Rory is looking for a little peace and quiet, a little time a local pub might get his creative juices flowing again. When he sits beside the pretty girl at the bar, he wonders if she will recognize him. He finds himself wanting to spend more time with Amelia and wants her to see his homeland. Maybe that will change her perception of Ireland and show her that not all men are the same.
While Rory and Amelia roam around parts of Ireland and he takes her to his parents home, they become close and both are beginning to have feelings for each other. Amelia can’t have another relationship that will end before it gets started. So she leaves before he wakes up without leaving him anyway to contact her.
Will Rory find Amelia when he visits New York? Will Amelia regret leaving Rory without leaving him a way to contact her? Can they make a relationship work when they both live in different countries?
I love everything about Ireland and when I read the title, I knew I had to read this one. I am so glad I did and I can’t wait for the next one.
