Gripping murder mystery about a serial killer with several surprise twists and turns. You’ll like the main character, a private investigator working with the police in rural Vermont. The last sentence was a shocker!
Enjoyed it!
I just finished reading this book and it kept me on the edge of my seat. I could hardly wait to see the truth unfold. When a story excites me I tend to read fast because that’s how my mind reacts to excitement. I will be reading more books by this author. Five stars!
A surprise, but well thought out ending! Excellent. The second book is coming out soon. I can’t wait to read it!
The author’s misogyny was palpable on every page, completely intolerable. The worst book I can remember reading
Was a little tedious at times with all the details but the story flowed fairly well.
Much to wordy.

I recommend this book with reservations. It was interesting and I liked the characters and the story but there’s an animal cruelty bit that I hated. I don’t like that as a rule and I really appreciated a review that says the next book in the series has more. I won’t be reading any more by this author.
I liked this book it had a slow build but well written.
I love this book and the way the author writes. The setting takes place mainly in Vermont but also New Hampshire, Maine and Connecticut. Places are real (some may not be), characters are fictional. Teen and young adult women are being murdered. A private, former state policeman and a small local detective group are trying to find a killer, …
Resolution left some ends unresolved.
Pretty good read.
I enjoyed the book for the most part. Upsetting subject matter. Builds to a decent climax but the last few chapters revolve around a sketchy aha moment. Good enough read.
Excellent and totally gripping book! Hard to put down – plan on not getting any projects done while reading!
It was a great book: Icouldn’t put it down. The first of his that I have read. I just ordered another one.
Bought the series
Great read
Wonderful book
Start was good but became too predictable. Story could have concluded in many less pages. Ending was a twist but doesn’t intrigue me enough to read another by this author.
