Sweet Meant To Be by Barbara McMahon. This is Dani Winthrop and Connor Norris’ story.
Dani ends up working for Connor and his partner. Connor isn’t too happy about her working on a construction site. He hasn’t been able to move on. Dani needs this job but also needs a fresh start. She has a short time to convince Connor that she is the right person for the job. Connor is still healing from a tragedy in his life. Dani and Connor are drawn to one another but they both have so much baggage that taking a chance on a relationship may be too much for them. Will these two be able to help each other heal and find true love?
This is a sweet and heartwarming story. I loved Dani and Connor’s characters and the supporting characters. I love how the author creates a sweet, emotional, and believable story.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
The twists and turns of the characters are not cookie cutter either. Love of self and learning self-worth flows through out the story line. I can’t wait till you read the story for your self.out
Dani is ready for a new start and needs to save money for her child. She was hurt by her ex and is ready to go alone. Connor lost his wife and son and vows to never love again. He is angry when his partner hires Dani as their secretary. I would have like a better resolution with the ex. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Sweet Meant To Be by Barbara McMahon is another well written story about loss, hope and new beginnings.
Dani is single, pregnant and looking for a job so she can make money, keep her baby and start over..she’s hired by the partner in a construction company. When she shows up to start the job she meets the other partner, Connor…once he realizes she’s a woman instead of the man he thought was being hired he’s determined to dismiss her. Little does Connor know that she has the experience to put his company back on track again.
Can Dani prove her worth to Connor, keep her heart from falling love and make they money she needs or will Connor succeed in removing her permanently from his construction site and just keep his heart locked down??
Sweet Meant To Be is a sweet read! Connor’s partner has hired a new secretary, Dani, for the isolated construction site. Connor is not happy to learn the new secretary is a female and pregnant to boot! Connor and Dani are both strong protagonists. Sweet Meant To Be is set in the beautiful Colorado mountains! I received a complimentary e-book from the author. This is my honest opinion.
Once again, this talented author gives us a heartbreaking but also heartwarming story about loss , hope, new beginnings and the possibility of love.
The main characters are Dani and Connor.
Dani is single , pregnant, and has just gotten a job as an assistant in a construction company in the middle of Colorado. One she hopes will earn her enough money to take care of her baby . A baby she already loves and cherishes. Connor is one of the owners of the construction company and none too happy to have a pregnant young woman working at the site. Both have had a heartbreaking past. Dani looks forward to a future with her baby, while Connor buries his life in work to avoid feeling his pain.
Two complex individuals who clash but also are attracted to each other. Will they find their HEA, or will fears of more loss and hurt cause them to forfeit what could possibly be the best thing that could happen to them?
Looking forward to more books by this author.
I voluntarily read this copy. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Sweet Meant To Be is a wonderful story about love & getting it right. Dani was with a man she thought she’d be with forever, until she ended up pregnant & he didn’t to be a father. Now, she needed a way to pay her expenses. This job would be perfect! She could work a few months & save enough to see her through the months she had to be off. Her first day got off to a rocky start when she found out Connor didn’t want a woman for the job.
Connor couldn’t believe his partner! An isolated all male construction site was no place for a pretty woman. No one will get their work done! Even though he didn’t have the time for interviews, he’d hire the next one after he’d sent Dani away.
Connor & Dani both were hurt in their past although in different ways. They both needed to get past those feelings in order to trust each other. The sparks between them are obvious, as is the tension. Why can’t they be together?
