This book is like a rock meeting a hard place. Both main characters are incredibly stubborn and set in their ways. One designer and one contractor refurbishing houses and the tension between the two is delicious to watch escalate. With Jessica’s style of writing we get to dive into the heads of the characters as the tension builds and the plot gets funnier. This is a very sweet and funny read. The perfect romantic comedy to relax with in the early summer weather. Once you start reading it you won’t want to put it down.
Just what I needed and Jessica Gadziala delivered. Loved the Fix It Up story line something new and fresh. Sweet, sexy, and funny “hate” to love story. Brin’s stubbornness and Warren’s obnoxious made this a steamy read. Brin and Warren are hot together.
Warren is a contractor working on a house with Bromley and they butt heads at every turn. Everytime they are near each other explosions in personalities happen. What happens when they take an opportunity they can’t pass up that has them living together for a year? Can they fake it and make it or will they tear each other apart first?
This book was amazing! It flowed perfectly and was so sweet. It was a different kind of book by Jessica but that doesn’t take away the fact that it was perfect. She is an amazing author.
4 Fight like you mean it Stars on Goodreads
Fix it up is not your typical Jessica Gadziala novel. It’s not her usual dark and mysterious read. Even though I’m lucky to get her books in advance, I automatically purchase them as well. So its not secret that I love all her books. This one however I didn’t really connect with. Yes I enjoyed the story, found it hilarious at times and laughed out load through several parts but I didn’t really connect with Brinley however I did love Warren and liked his easy going even tempered personalty.
This book is really good. As Jessica forewarned: Nothing goes boom but that’s ok, sometimes you don’t need a boom to enjoy a book and I did enjoy this book. It just wasn’t in my top ten books by Jessica but that ok too. If you love enemies to lovers, fake marriage, a good fight and a slow burn build up you will love this book.
10+++ stars! This story is FANTASTIC! ; ) Warren & Brinley spend a lot of time butting heads. And then this… opportunity … arises, and they have to tone it down. What they discover when they’re forced to get along is … magic! Also, let’s talk about the cover, shall we? SO CUTE! And it comes from a scene in the book, which made me love it even more.
I love love LOVE these characters & their story! I love the banter & the feelings & the epilogue! With this story we get laughs, love, and some steamy steamy goodness!! LOVE! : )
Cute, funny, and sexy contemporary romance. Jessica Gadziala gives us her take on reality TV with a interior designer and a builder who are always butting heads over their views of what’s best for the client. When their bickering gets them noticed by a producer of a reality show called Fix It Up about married couples who work as a team to fix up houses and offer them their own show its Brinley Spears dream come true. Two problems though – one, she and Warren Allen Reyes are not married, and two, they can’t stand working with each other.
Brin manages to convince Warren to do the show agreeing to the white lie that they are married. But having to both live and work closely ramps up the bickering but it also exposes what the underlying causes of all that tension is – sexual attraction. The sexy times are smoking in this one..
