In the turquoise waters of the Caribbean, something lethal is on the move.
Scuba divers travel from all over the world to visit the little island of Bonaire, with its crystal-clear waters and a host of beautiful marine life. After three years in the “Divers Paradise”, divemaster Boone Fischer thought he’d seen it all; but on a routine afternoon dive, he spots something that will turn his … something that will turn his tranquil life upside down.
From the arid shores of the ABC Islands to the tropical jungles of Venezuela—from the ocean depths of the Southern Caribbean, to the lush islands of the Northern Leewards, Deep Shadow takes Boone and the reader on an action-packed adventure filled with danger and suspense.
“The age-old adage of ‘write what you know’ becomes very important when you write about a technical subject like scuba diving. When you get all the details right, and throw in just the right amounts of action, humor, romance, and suspense, you have a novel like this.” – Wayne Stinnett, bestselling author of Fallen Out.

DNF for me, but would be fantastic if you like action/adventure/espionage!
That’s right. DNF and 4 stars. How you ask?
That’s easy.
This book is incredibly well written, the research is rich and informative and the characters are engaging.
I couldn’t finish simply because it wasn’t my type of book. While the story could end up being intriguing and was already starting to develop threads of what was to come, I simply don’t like this type of book.
If you like action, adventure, intrigue, espionage and richly written fiction, then I highly recommend it!
Never a dull moment and full of adventure
Good writing, interesting.
A fun and exciting read, not just for divers, but anyone that enjoys a great sea adventure!
The author really knows SCUBA diving and the islands he writes about. That realism adds a lot to the story and staying engaged. I like the characters, the relationships that are built, and the way they work through the issues that come up. I’ve read 2 in this series and looking forward to the third!
Nick Sullivan’s books are always packed with intrigue and deep characters. I just can’t put them down once I start.
This book is part of a 3 book series that is a new twist on the action adventure character. I hope there will be more in this series as I’ve thoroughly enjoyed them. Great characters and interesting plots.
I love it when I discover a new (to me) writer that is so good that I will read all his follow-on novels. Nick Sullivan is such a writer, great characters in an entertaining action and adventure that never sags, he delivers the goods! Fun read!
