WOW! Man what can I say without giving too much away! If you’ve read the first 3 books this one will amaze you. Monique has a way to capture her readers. These books just keep getting better and better. Their loyalty as a family is what every family wants. I can’t wait to read more about Katherine and can’t wait for the next book. Great job Monique!
***Another great book to the series! The ending is a cliffhanger so beware, but seriously what a cliffhanger! can’t wait for the next installment. If you haven’t started this series yet, I don’t know what’s stopping you! Monique, the suspense is killing me when’s the next book coming out? Lol. love these books girl! keep ‘Em coming!
4 stars
This is Vin’s story. He’s the brother that seems to have suffered the most. He had a traumatic childhood, then got to watch his mother die. He ends up living with his father’s family and is treated terribly by his own father. Needless to say, Vin has issues.
Brittany brings him a measure of peace. She is a high-priced escort, and she lets Vin in, only to discover he misinterprets her actions. They have several arguments over her career, but it becomes very clear why she is in this profession. Like each of his brothers before him, Vin makes some stupid choices with good intentions regarding his relationship with Brittany. Added to that, there are a few of Vin’s buddies in town who are looking to interest Catherine Stern in a business venture, and unwittingly bring Brittany in as well. This adds a layer of tension to this story.
The motivations for each protagonist are clearly defined. It’s easy to understand both Brittany’s and Vin’s actions and reactions. The tension escalates in this book, because Vin wants to do everything himself, when he really needs to talk to his family. His brother Gabriel has some entertaining reactions to Brittany, which adds some lightheartedness to the book.
This is a 2-tissue read! There are parts that will just hit the reader in sensitive spots. The ending is explosive, and will leave you wanting more of this family! Catherine’s story is next on my TBR pile! Can’t wait!!
Monique makes you feel like all of her characters are real. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase of ALL of her books!!
Art of Loyalty As a young child Vincent is taken and raised with Catherine Stern’s sons. Begrudgingly Catherine accepts him into her heart. He eventually becomes her most loyal soldier. Both are keepers of each other secrets from the rest of the family. The only love that Vin has experienced has been at the hands of Catherine until he meets Brittany. He knows what she does for the Family. Will he be able to accept her and what she does?
I have been desperate for Vins story since first reading this series. From the moment I met him he held me captivated and intrigued, just what were Vincent Sterns secrets?
I’m always drawn to the lost troubled souls, the quiet ones the that don’t say much but have a huge presence non the less.
There has been hints throughout the series as to what torments Vin, but it’s never been fully divulged as to exactly what his history was, especially with Catherine.
One thing you could never question was his loyalty to Catherine, it’s was obvious how much mutual respect and love was shared between them.
I’ve said it before and I will say it again, I have huge admiration for this woman she’s the the backbone to the family, all her tough love and decisions have been made to strengthen those she loves. To create The Family that no-one wants to go up against, a formidable force.
My Love for Vin has only grew with this book, he’s definitely my favourite Stern. I didn’t love his story as much as I wanted to. Maybe I set my expectations a bit to high for him, I’m not sure.
Never the less I still loved the story and I think Brittany and Vin are perfect together.
I’m so nervous as to what’s instore for Catherine. I saw it coming but whatever fight she has to face nothing is stronger than this woman. she’s a survivor.
Not only that she has one Hell of a family in her corner, and that is everything.
I’ve been team Zander since starting the Stern Family Saga, but oh my goodness, what a story! A story that filled in several little gaps throughout the saga that had left me wanting more! Vin, the quiet brother comes to life in Art of Loyalty and I so very much enjoyed the story of Vin & the woman that takes him by storm. So kewl that both these characters have been in the background through the whole Saga, but to learn the depths of their lives, their personalities and their loyalties! WOOZERS! Catherine has been a powerhouse thru the Saga and little by little we’ve learned of her, but I can’t wait to read her story!
Vin is the man and the woman he loves isn’t one to be messed with either.
Book 4 in one of my favorite series blows the socks off any book I have read recently. This book is to be read after the other 3 or it will make no sense. Monique knocked this book out and I can’t wait to read Cathrine’s story. Without giving any spoilers away … I love Vin’s girl and that relationship as well as his relationship with Fallon.
